After talking with the Derek for a month or so I finally pressed the button and got my first tattoo in close to a decade. Both Todd and Derek are great artists and tell it to you like it is - straight up, no BS. I am not big on the larger shops that have the barber-shop look and feel. Where the Coop clip art plastered all over the walls and everyone employed at the shop is a total rockabilly fanatic. Not that I have anything against that genre of music, because I dont (I love Tiger Army and The Phenomenauts), but the most of the time, the energy in those places just needs to be dropped down a few levels. Im looking to get a tattoo, not a malt shake and fries. Its just too much. Anyhow, I moved down to San Diego from the east bay area late last year for work and was out at lunch one afternoon when I passed by the shop. It was a Monday so they were closed, but I peered in and pretty much knew that this place was going to be where I was going to get my next piece. Fast forward a few months to February, and I found myself setting up an appointment with Derek where through our collaborative efforts, came up with a great piece which I will be proud to display for many years to come. So, if youre visiting or reside in the San Diego area, I highly recommended getting your next tattoo from Nothing Sacred.

Todd is a dick. He insulted me the whole time while getting a tattoo. I was nervous about getting a tattoo but I was annoyed the whole time while getting roasted.
