Came here over the weekend with my sister and I have to say, this coffee shop has made it to my faves. Its location is in Little Italy so parking can be a little difficult to find depending on the time of day you go. The people there were very nice and helpful with helping you choose which coffee to get if youre indecisive (like me lol). Very hipster vibes and dog friendly. I got the Chocolate latte since Im a major chocoholic. It was super good! My sister got the Chai Tea latte and she also gave hers a two thumbs up. There were tables where you can play checkers/chess and also little shops inside which is pretty cool. Very chill place to just hang out and sip some yummy coffee! Looking forward to come again and try other coffee flavors!

I have loved coffee my entire life! I would even sneak sips as a child. Cream and sugar has always been the way I drank it. I recently Discovered James Coffee and was blown away at how good it tasted. The flavor of the coffee and cappuccino that I had were so good that I no longer needed cream and sugar. Just a little almond milk. My fiancé is a major coffee connoisseur as well and she agrees that James Coffee has ruined coffee elsewhere for us. Its that good! We love James Coffee!

Headed to James right after I landed at the airport, super close and what a good find! I bought a cup and a bag of the Ethiopian for the rest of my trip. Such a great roast, so glad I remembered my Aeropress cause these two were made for each other and saved me from mediocre hotel coffee. Nice work James Coffee, you guys really have a good thing going, I will be back next time Im in SD!

There are a couple of coffee shops in San Diego that dont make sugar readily available. James Coffee Company is one of those places. High quality ingredients, beans roasted to perfection, and drinks served in exactly the right proportion creates an experience so smooth and full bodied that sugar would actually be a distraction. A great cup of coffee

Coffee was room tempsome how. I watched him make it and it was room temp. It was mostly milk and the coffee was very weak tasting. He didnt know what he was doing. If you are going to charge 5 bucks for a 12oz latte you better have dang good barista behind the counter. Go down the road and get plenty of good coffee options.

James Hawks

James has great coffee and the baristas make an excellent latte. The ambiance is laid back and the space offers patrons a lot more than just coffee including a barber, a salon, game tables, pastries and macaroons. Overall a great choice whether youre looking for a cup of coffee to go or a place to hang out. Pet friendly too.

After coming here a few times, its safe to say that the coffee is consistently OK. Nothing particularly worthy of either praise or harsh criticism. Ill definitely pop by if Im in the area, but I wouldnt go out of my way to come here. It does get four stars for being a coffee shop that serves proper espresso drinks, though.

One of the best places to get coffee in San Diego. This place is open warehouse style with some cool shops in the shared space. Barber, skinny jeans, etc... Coffee options are straightforward and less pretentious then some places (e.g., they do not organize the coffee offerings by country of origin).

A lively little plaza with an incredible coffee shop as the central hub. The Mexican mocha was dark enough to avoid becoming that gross sweet syrup a lot of places push but still maintained the perfect level of spice. The espresso was also incredible and very strong. I will be stopping by again.

Cool chill spot. Excellent cold brew and if you want something sweeter, try the horchata latte. I like it because I can do homework on my laptop here while I charge it, and its also dog friendly, so my pup Rosko can chill next to me while I work. Free WiFi. Nice, private bathroom.

Cool interior for the arcade of shops and the coffee shop is the hub of it all. The number of dogs inside causes a strange smell and the constant noise of the planes flying directly overhead means this is a challenging place to relax. Coffee is also very expensive for San Diego.

One of my favorite coffee shops in San Diego. Great coffee, and such a cool space. Theyve done such great work turning this old furniture warehouse into a cool, trendy, local spot. Always keep an eye out for collaborations with local eateries for food specials at the cafe

This industrial-looking coffee paradise had to cost a small fortune to open up. Ive been to pretty much every coffee shop in San Diego, and this is the clear winner as far as great decor goes. Coffees also tasty--though Ive only tried their pour overs.

Outstanding coffee. But so much more than that. Coffee paraphernalia, a barber shop and much more in this laid back loft style setting in a little Italy. Planes landing overhead and a cool crowd add to the charm. Get your espresso based coffee here!!

This is a great little coffee shop in a shared open space. There are a lot of tables and places to work from with some nice background music. The baristas are very nice and skilled at what they do. You are getting quality over quantity here though.

Very hipster boutique coffee shop, you can smell the Mac book pros and gluten free comments in the air. If thats what you are going for this place is perfect, otherwise the coffee was not memorable and slightly pricier than one would expect.

It has no heat so it is cold in the AM in winter. It took me 20 minutes to get an espresso on Sunday morning when it was not very crowded. The espesso was definitely very good. I would come here again hoping the wait was an anomaly.

If you love craft coffee this is a must try! The pour over coffee and latte were very good. Very hip industrial ambience with cool side stores to shop in. Ambience is not cozy so a better place to drop by then stay and linger.

Best cup of Espresso Ive ever had. Really friendly staff. Transaction was smooth and fast and the room had great vibes. One of the best coffee shops Ive ever been to. Would highly recommend this place to anyone in the area.

Always great coffee, and excellent place to work or study. Chill, good music, relaxed atmosphere. Also cute and unique (handmade, artistic) items in shops inside. I like the cap or latte with condensed milk and nutmeg :)
