Coffee Cup is a quaint little breakfast place set in La Jolla. If the place gets busy, I doubt if you can even find a seat, it is that small. The menu is vegetarian friendly and I liked the choice of breakfast items they had. The waitresses were prompt and friendly. However, I really didnt love my food that much. It was a 4 egg white scramble with rice and beans and I found the quantity a tad less and the taste not out of this world. I will reassess my rating after eating again. Oh, btw, parking is a big pain in that area. Good luck finding a spot, or else, make sure you have at least 3 dollars in cash for the parking garages.

Coffee Cups breakfast dishes is a GREAT way to start your day. Upon entering, youre sitting in a wide open, cement floored room, in cozy chairs or a window seat. Its a little squishy, but its super comfortable and emits a homey feel. Their menu is super varied, from the traditional to the unique. They feature Asian-type entrees like the Zen Breakfast, Mexican-style entrees like their Breakfast Burritos to traditional dishes like the Coffee Cup French Toast. ALL GOOD CHOICES. The only complaint I have about Coffee Cup is the wait is often 20+ minutes. Stop being so good and popular, guys!

Dreadful. I Was SUPER excited about going and was VERY disappointed. The setting is very cramped, and its extremely loud. Ordered hot chocolate as it was February, and that was the best Ive ever had. I then ordered French toast and and 1 hour an 25 minutes later it came to our table burnt on both sides badly with a side of over-salted potatoes. Also CRAZY exspensive, and the waiters and waitresses give terrible service. Awful.

Without doubt this place served up the best breakfast we had on our entire 3 - 4 week trip around ... highly recommend the first item on menu ... eggs and rosemary potatoes and the pancakes ... ... great prices, excellent service ... would have gone there everyday if we had found it sooner ... amazing food and service ... do not walk past ... go in and enjoy .... thanks pete and silvia from Sydney ....

Ughh, just had a real bad breakup. This place has awesome food; love their artichoke omelette, however theyve reach an all time level on ignorance. Sorry guys but you need to cater to everyone; even is military vets with babies and baby strollers. Next time handle it with more sincerity(hint of sarcasm). Great food, bad service for this guy and his little princess.

Typical "re-imagined" breakfast and lunch. Good local coffee, quality ingredients, but like much of the new culinary wave, theyve got the style, the vibe, the ingredients, and the price to go with it...unfortunately, they forgot about flavor... Fat, oils, butter, etc. . Even toast is delivered dry...yum! Had to ask for jam and butter.

The food is very fresh, healthy and flavorful. A great place to go to again and again, they have an extensive menu full of fabulous options. If you are lucky enough to be there when they have the special "breakfast enchiladas", dont miss it. The sauce is so delicious! And I love the staff, they are great.

Best breakfast in San Diego - hands down! Fresh food with Mexican flair. Power breakfast burritos are the best. Patrick who seems like he is the manager is the best. He clearly cares about the customers and the place. I would eat here everyday if I could.

The Blackberry and Banana pancakes are simply amazing. Coffee is great as well. It can get a bit crowded, but that just adds to the atmosphere. A nice plus for out of towners are the beach bum waiters how provide service with a california style and attitude.

Staffs are super friendly, wide range of breakfast items creatively created. Organic ingredients seasoned to perfection. Such a lovely place for breakfast. Parking is a bit hard to find & wait most of the time but well worth it! My go to in the morning!

Never heard of this place till I walked in looking for coffee, had breakfast as well. Sooo good. I know of a few over crowded (overrated) breakfast places with food half as good as this place. Not near where I live but Id go back for sure.

Delicious breakfast and lunch in a small neighborhood cafe. Be prepared to wait a while on the weekends and during the lunch and breakfast rush. If you go early or mid-morning on the weekdays you will be able to get a table quicker.

Just not good. The service was not bad but the food was just awful specially for how much you have to pay. I was there with some friends for breakfast they forgot to bring half of my food and the eggs in the omelet had no taste.

Strengths: Truly excellent coffee, good food options and tasty meals. Negatives: Very small tables and very tightly packed seating area. Service felt slow, but may actually be normal speed by San Diego standards.

If you like your breakfast with latin twist, this place is for you. One of the house specialties is the "Omar Special", named after the chef. Try to avoid weekend since they get too busy.

This is a great breakfast place. As a GF and DF girl, plenty of choices to be had. The wait was not too long, and the prices were what you would expect for the area ($$). Highly recommend.

Cute and charming breakfast place with delicious coffee! Its pretty small though - prepare to be cramped. The menu has some pretty fun options - its not standard breakfast.

Our favorite breakfast place during our stay in La Jolla. If youre vegetarian, try the Papas Loco, its delicious and a good alternative to the standard sweet breakfast.
