The owner of the store is very pleasant and extremely nice and very knowledgeable. He has owned and operated cashway electric for many years. Unfortunately he is in in 80 atleast and has had to move his store with probably over thousands of inventory where shelves are two and three times his height and must be very difficult to handle such a big move by himself. He is the knowledge of that store. Anyone else is trying to help him but i dont believe any of them have experience in professional inventory and how to setup and deliver.. i wish the owner the best and i absolutely love his store and products.. no one can beat any of his prices its definitely the best and cheapest prices you will find period. Give him a chance..

Here is the deal on Cashway Electric Supply. The are old school. Get that? They have great prices on stuff, and this is mostly a contractor supply store. I was told about this place by a very busy contractor. I purchased beautiful bathroom ceiling fans here. They beat Home Depot in price. Know what you need? You better, because thats just how they roll here. Its the original owner, original family run business who was around in San Diego long before any of the pissed off reviewers were. So, to recap, great prices, great selection, but dont expect them to hold your hand. The owner is a great old man, like they used to be, and he doesnt suffer fools gladly. Thats what I liked about him.

Employees seemed like it was just another day at the salt mine. Very unhelpful, and when I came back with a purchase without any reciept, I basically was told I was S.O.L. I wasnt given any verbal notification that I needed a reciept to return or exchange a purchase, even though I showed them on my bank account the purchase. Anybody purchasing a product from Cashway Electric Supply, watch your back. Their lazy, and dont have the customers in their best interest. A big NO, to Cashway Electric Supply.

How is this place in business? Lets see what Ive experienced so far... -Bad attitudes -bare bones stock (they Literally dont stock anything any e. Contractor needs). -un helpful; theyre idea of pointing you in the right direction is to suggest going to home depot. This is the last time Im coming here. I really wish they could re organize this business because they have the best location As far as convenience and they have no competition In this area. Im baffled. Good luck cashway.

These people are unreliable and dont tell the truth. I ordered lights from them and they stated it would take 2 days, I had to pay for it up front. Two and a half weeks after still no lights after calling daily and they kept telling me it would be in tomorrow. They finally got the lights in but no driver to run the lights. DONT TRUST ANYTHING THESE PEOPLE TELL YOU.

Poor customer service skills. salesperson on the phone was NOT knowledgable on the workings of LED low voltage lighting systems. I dont feel they understood my request but, more importantly did not make an effort to understand what I was even looking for. Im looking for close to $2 in lighting gear but I guess Ill be getting it elsewhere.

Havent been here yet, but after reading the reviews, it sounds like a place tailored for professionals. And if you want to have your hand held and sing KumBaiYa, go somewhere else. Im cool with that, think Ill go there next, since Home Depot only has the most general stuff.
