This review is specifically in regards to the grooming area. We made an appointment on Thursday for our 3 dogs to get groomed. The original appointment was for Saturday, but not less than a hour later they called to reschedule saying that they had accidently overbooked the groomers. We moved our appointment to Sunday with no worries. Sunday came and we arrive to find the grooming area full and people waiting. One man was told that they did not have his appointment on the books and he was blatantly upset. There was a dog being brushed on the table that was crying out. The woman grooming the dog just kept pulling at the dog and tossing the dog from side to side, ignoring that the dog was visibly uncomfortable. We felt uncomfortable with this, but decided to keep our appointment. Another lady greeted us after 15 minutes of waiting (after our appointment time) and quoted us the price for our dogs. We decided to pay the extra $10 for the de-shedding process for one of our dogs. A hour and half later they called to say all 3 were ready. This was concerning because one dog was suppose to be groomed (full shave down), another with the de-shedding process, and the final was just bath and nails. When we picked up our dog the one that had needed to be shaved down was patchy and had tufts of hair that had not been shaved down at all! When we questioned this the lady rudely grabbed our dog and took her over to even it out. She complained that whole time that it was "too hard" to get the hair even. She tossed our small 4lb dog around as she shaved her causing my husband to go over and hold our dog who was now shaking. The dog that was suppose to get the de-shedding had tufts of hair sticking out as if they had started brushing, but never finished. By the time we got to the car tufts of hair were falling out. We will never be returning to this groomer again. We paid $121 for our 3 dogs and all we got were 3 baths, 3 nail trims, and a horrible hair cut. We will be taking our dogs back to their previous groomers.

i absolutely love this place. not only do they have the best quality foods for both cats and dogs, but they also have a bathing station that is AWESOME! i have a dog (about 35 lbs) with fairly short hair so its not really worth it to have her groomed professionally, and i cant bend over the bathtub at home to bath her. the bathing stations at Bark Ave. are perfect: they are large enough for an english mastiff or great dane but tall enough for a short dog (like mine). Bark Ave.s bathing stations are fully supplied with shampoo (multiple kinds), conditioner, ear cleaning wipes, rubber scrubby/ brush thingies, and towels and drying station with air dryer. Also, the people there are super friendly and helpful. i also like to get my dogs nails clipped here because my dog seems to be less freaked out by 1) the groomers, 2) the other dogs because they ALL seem to be less freaked out, and 3) being high up on the table: its just an environment that seems to be less stressfull on my dog.

They made life a little bit easier for me... My dog was getting sick every time she would leave petsmart after a grooming... I dont blame petsmart at all for this... I believe it was because of how many different dogs were there, the stress got to her... Kind of like being in the pound for a couple of hours... Taking her to a smaller establishment helped solve some of her anxiety problems... The staff was very helpful... While my dog was getting the works I was able to get a little shopping in. The staff helped me pick a good car harness for her and assisted with getting her fitted properly once she was done with her grooming... They also pointed out I needed to keep an eye on her ear... Thank you... I ended up taking her to the vet... I never noticed she was having a problem with her ear, and I appreciate them for pointing it out to me... Highly recommend this establishment!

I took my Australian Shepherd there to get his back hair cut. I told them not to touch his ruff or mane. I said and I demonstrated to her to NOT cut anything in front of the front legs and to leave his front arms alone just clip the feathers. The groomer cut 6 inches of hair in front of his front legs including cutting his mane in half. She clipped his front legs and left the feathers. "He looks freakish " a friend said about his pictures today. I complained to the owner on two different days and he raised his voice at me today and when I wanted to show him pictures of the cut, he raised his voice again and said no, he stands behind all the work done there.

Finally a quality holistic pet store! I Absolutely LOVE This place, the ladies there are always available to help me & are always so knowledgeable. Customer service is an A+! They definitely enjoy their jobs and it shows!!! They are open 7 days a week and always stocked with whatever I need. Last summer my dog fell very Ill & could not keep anything down. The vets could not figure anything out. The ladies here at bark avenue helped me to find a solution that works for her & today she is thriving. Thank you Bark Avenue! I appreciate this place so much, if I could give them 10 stars I would.

Best place to wash your dog. Unlike other places there is no timer. They have 3 baths with 3 various shampooing options and 1 conditioner. They also have 2 drying stations with a blower. They give you 2 large towels. It costs $15. Staff are friendly and place is clean. They accept android and apple pay. They also have lots of different dog foods and accessories.

We take our 2 German Shepherds here and they always come out clean and smelling good! Its about the same price as other big name stores but here I feel it is more personable. The girls actually seem to spend more one on one time with the dogs and dont try to cram in as many dogs as they can. My dogs come out looking beautiful when they leave here!

I love this place! The people are great and the prices are most reasonable, in fact the place where I previously was purchasing my dog food was quite a bit higher than Bark Avenue. I also couldnt be more pleased with the dog grooming! Danell is really great with my two little ones! I plan to be a long term customer!!

Love this place. Get all my dog food and anal glands milked here... I called to get my dogs anal glands milked at 17:36 an hour before they close and they told me the groomers are going home in five mins.... That was today 3/28/17 so be careful or plan ahead
