WOW, NO, REALLY, WOW, WHAT A SHAME. WHEN I WAS A KID MY DAD TOOK US TO SEARS FOR EVERYTHING FROM TOOTHBRUSHES TO CLOTHES, EYEGLASSES, ALL OUR APPLIANCES, A ROOF, LAWN EQUIPMENT, WATER HEATER, I THINK HE MAY HAVE EVEN BROUGHT MY MOTHER HOME FROM SEARS. JUST CALLED: ASKED THE ROBOT FOR THE PAINT DEPARTMENT AND A KID ANSWERED, "YEAH", "UM, I NEED SOME PAINT PLEASE". "WE NO LONGER HAVE A PAINT DEPARTMENT". "CAN YOU PLEASE TELL ME YOUR CLOSEST STORE THAT DOES ?" "WELL, UM, I DONT KNOW". "ARE YOU KIDDING ME ? WHAT HAPPENED TO THE SEARS MY FATHER TOOK ME TO ?" "UM, WELL, I DONT KNOW, MAYBE I CAN FIND SOMEONE, JUST WAIT". Click. Called back. Asked the robot for customer service, the phone rang over a dozen times then disconnected. And thats how Radio Shack became "Rat Shack" and why I walked into the Glendale location and purchased $100s of dollars worth of stuff for about $40 the last day they were open. Another lost American Corporate Icon. What a shame, I called Osh in Pasadena, another kid answered the phone, he didnt sound like I did at 14 when I discovered bongs, like the kid at Sears, like I was stoned for the first time and didnt give a truck ! He let me know in under three minutes that he could match Sears Weather Beater in Georgetown White in a semi gloss and asked me if he should have it waiting for me. And Osh sells just about everything Sears does, even Dickies clothes and work boots, patio furniture, hot water heaters, roofs, lawn equipment. And as professional as their kid was on the phone I cant wait to have the privilege to meet him person and thank the store that actually trained him to make them rich. I hope I find a wife at OSH too. Yupp. And the staff should stop posting fake reviews and try replying to this one, like, "we are sorry about your recent experience as a fourth generation lifetime EX customer, what can we do to regain your business ?" Yupp. Damn.

I was suckered in by the following special... Sears Fuel Saver package Oil change featuring Valvoline. Includes new PowerFlo air filter, tire rotation, inflate tires to proper specs and 24-pt. inspection. sale $29.98 lowest price ever, $25 OFF Got to the store and the sign hanging from the ceiling said $34.95. Strike 1. Associate asked manager if special was good without buying a package over $100 and left me at counter for over 5 minutes. Strike 2. Manager told me I NEEDED high mileage oil at a premium price. I got him to back off by telling him to show me where the Honda manual said that. Strike 3. Store was out of stock on my air filter, so my new price was $45 instead of $30, even without the ripoff high mileage oil. Strike 4. I told the manager I would go somewhere else if thats the best he could do, and he said "sounds good." I agree. Just Tires down the street matched a coupon for oil and rotation for $18, and I was a happy camper. I came back to Sears in the past after an associate told me they couldnt release my car to me because the tire wear beyond their spec was a safety hazard, but I dont think Ill ever come back again now. I recommend you avoid this place like the plague.

My issue is with Sears Warranty. I called due to the volume stopping in the middle of TV watching on sporadic but numerous occasions. The customer service rep advised if it happens again, I should record it on my cell phone then call for service so the tech can see whats occurring to know how to fix the problem. I told her that makes absolutely no sense and sounds more like I am in question than the obvious defective RCA TV. A video of the sound stopping during the TV playing wont instruct a tech as to how to resolve the problem, only confirm a problem exists. Nevertheless I ended up being told that if the sound plays when the tech comes out, the case will be closed as a non issue/no problem. I can only assume when the sound goes out again, to leave the soundless TV playing while waiting just how many days for a tech to respond? Then can I use the warranty I paid for and get another damn TV?!?! Extremely poor service on the part of Sears warranty...

Ive opened sears account and got treated poorly. They will tell you how much you will get from opening sears account. They will also tell you that you can easily close the account later. The fact is: its extremely hard to close the account! You can call in and the only thing you will get to talk to is the machine. Plus, even when you dont buy anything in the whole year, they still charge you for annual fees. The answering machine will keep transferring your call like a million times and you will still never get to talk to a person. If you are lucky enough to get to talk to a person, right after you say you want to close the account, the phone got hung up on. They make it look like an accident, but its not. And you will have to start the whole thing all over again. I personally hate it.

This is a review for the Sears on Fair Oaks in South Pasadena. At the time of this review, there was no location on Google on which to post. I bought a washer and dryer from Sears Appliance located inside Osh. They delivered it on Saturday but they forgot to bring stacking kit. They promised to return at the end of their day to install the units if I went to Osh and picked up the stacking kit, which I did. They didnt come back, didnt call, and wouldnt answer their cell phone. After a week of trying to schedule an install, rude customer service, promises of scheduling times broken, and no-show install appointments I finally called and had them come pick up the units or a return. Save yourself the frustration, their fulfillment system and customer service is a disaster. Horrible.

I go to Sears because of their road side hazard warrantee on their tires. However I am unsure of whether or not having a flat tire is more unfortunate than dealing with these lazy workers. In fact the same tire I had replaced a couple of months ago was the same one I woke up to flat. Is someone is not doing their job - or any job to say the least?!?! Each time Ive gone to this sears, its like pulling teeth to get someone to help you out. Ive waited up to 30 minutes to get one person to check in my car. Ive also been promised that I would be called once my car had been serviced, but alas to no avail. Whoever hired these incompetent individuals lacking in the courtesy department must have some nuts and bolts loose of their own.

Waited an inconvenient week to purchase a freezer because I was told it would be on sale. When I came back for the sale the product had been marked up so that the sale price was the same as when I had first come in. Not wanting to waste more time I rewarded them with my business and ordered the freezer. 3 days later it arrived in the wrong color. While the wrong color was likely a mistake at the register the employees were all polite and helpful so if upper management reads this review know that I hold you responsible for the majority of my dissatisfaction. Your fake sales are manipulative and should qualify as false advertising. Also, I got hung up on 6 times trying to call in before giving up to write this review.
