As a disclaimer, I moved out here from the midwest. So i have HIGH expectations of Apple Stores. They treat you like Royalty when you enter into an apple store back home. So my rating maybe influenced by the different treatment i received entering into this Apple Store. My Experience is as follows. I have a MacBook Pro and for some reason my screws under the bottom had loosened up and since it is covered under warranty i didnt want to damage the screws if I didnt have the correct screw driver. I just figured id stop in and just use one of their screw drivers to tighten it. I walk in and was directed toward the back to talk to the genius hostess. I explain to her that I dont have an appointment, and i dont want to interrupt the geniuses just to tighten some screws and asked her if she could go and have one of the techs in the back lend her a screwdriver so i can tighten the 3 screws coming loose before i lose them. She frowns up as if she caught me digging in her purse or something and says she can NOT do that because the screw drivers are "PROPRIETARY" and are apple property alone. So i asked her as busy as they are day in and day out, you want me to schedule a genius bar appointment and take a slot from someone who legitimately needs help, just to have some guy turn a few screws. She pauses, looks at me, sighs and just heads to the back. I didnt know what she was doing and she came back with a different guy who was very polite and asked me for my laptop, tightened my screws. I explained to him what happened with her and he stated that the screwdriver isnt proprietary and he didnt know why she would tell me that. he apologized and i was good to go. Over all, my problem was resolved. But I still shouldnt have to put up with someones attitude when i didnt put them in the mood they are in. Customer service needs to be worked on at this location.

You better go to another Apple Store, these people lack experience and will give you trouble I set up an appointment to have my NEW iPhone 5 be check on since my Bluetooth was not functioning properly. The sales person who helped me was really rude and he seemed to not be happy working there. I told him about the problem I was having with my Phone and he told me he was going to take the phone inside to open it and to make sure everything was in order. He took the iPhone for about 30min and when he came back, he told me that he could not approve a repair because “someone had worked on that phone”, I asked him what made him get to that conclusion and he told me he was not allow to share that information. So what’s the point here? Right? What if when he opened the phone, and he did it wrong and now wants to blame me for his mistakes. As of right NOW my $600 phone has no warranty and it cannot be service at any other Apple Store. Please DONOT take your iPhone to this Apple Store, the people here do not have enough experience, they lack customer service skills and they may deny service to you if you are Hispanic.

these guys suck. walked in this morning at 10:15 am with a hardware issue on iphone 5. applecare says its hardware and to change it out. have a service ticket running on it. nobody in the store. "geniuses" standing around. most of the geniuses prefer to interact with their electronic devices, not realizing that IPADS DONT SPEND MONEY. CUSTOMERS SPEND MONEY. i am directed to the head genius, who tells me they are very busy, but maybe he can squeeze me in in an hour and a half. i looked around at the slacker patrol, told him to go fork himself, and walked out. they were the same way in january, when i picked up $4k worth of macbook pro that had been paid for... hour and fifteen minutes later..... i was given a time that itd be ready, and it was over an hour standing and waiting, till i finally behaved poorly enough to give them an incentive to get me out of the store. the people in this store are the laziest, most worthless POSs ive ever seen. half the reviews here are "they suck" and the other half are their friends who say "they are great!". truth is, they suck.

This people here are amazing! I was upgrading the memory on my MacBook and one of the screws on the back case stripped. I panicked because I needed to get the memory in because of some advanced programs i needed to run at work. So i ran to this Newport Apple store down the street from my work. The people there were so friendly and helpful. I didnt have time to make an appointment for the genius bar , but they helped me anyway and took my MacBook in the back, removed the stripped screw and replaced the screw for me in less than 5 mins. I could not be happier with Apple. People always ask me why I would pay so much for an apple product when i can get a PC for so much less, this is one of the main reasons! Superior customer service is why I will always buy Apple. Thank you so much for your help! Everyone here was awesome!

I had a bad experience with the customer service at this apple store. I love Apple products, and went in with a broken iPod (my 3rd iPod) with the thought that if they couldnt fix it, Id purchase a new one. I made an appointment with the genius desk, and they said itd be a twenty minute wait. I stayed in the store, watching my name go up from number 10, to 7, to forty minutes later being number 3. After being number 3 I turned around to see that my name wasnt on the list anymore. When I asked the employee she said they must have accidentally cancelled my appointment, and that I couldnt get one for the night. I drove 20 minutes to get there, and waited forty minutes for my appointment, and they didnt fit me in. I was severely disappointed in the lack of customer service. I will never go back to this store.

Unacceptable service. I called yesterday to ask if they had the iPhone4 and new iMacs with the new processors in stock. Of course there was a wait, the system said more than 8 callers ahead. So it was about 15 minutes of a wait. Some girl gets on the phone and says, "Apple Fashion Island?" then I ask if they have the phone, she says, "NO!!" and hangs up. I didnt expect them to have it, which is why I wanted to come in for the iMac at least. But that is unacceptable, right? So anyway, I ended up going to the South Coast Plaza store. They were shocked to hear about the rude service from Fashion Island, and they will report it to the Apple Fashion Island management. So, boycott Fashion Island, and give South Coast Plaza your business, at least theyll help you with a smile.

I havent even set food in the door yet and already I hate it. I just spent half an hour on the phone trying to ask some basic general questions about my 2013 iMac 27" that just failed. I paid $3,000+ for this computer and the screen suddenly failed--horizontal and vertical lines all throughout. I wanted to ask some questions before taking the time to pack it up, haul it over to the mac store, and bring in this large computer. The operator at the store today (a man) 9/8/15, 10:40AM, rushed me off the phone and transferred me to some generic call center after I specifically requested to talk to a service advisor or technician. He said he couldnt pull someone off the floor just cause I have a question and just dropped me on this generic call center.
