Despite two rude workers there. Everyone else was kind and helpful and friendly and respectful. I couldnt find an item. And the kiosk guy was soooooo nice! He went out of his way to find the item even though the item had no tag at all !! But he solved the mystery. And called me later that day and when I went in a couple days later. They said he felt so bad that it took so long to find the item they offered a discount plus it was the last one too!! The front cashier was helpful. The cashier in music. Even though I was next in line. Asked me to wait and she took a different customer that had just walked up! (I couldnt help to think its because I wasnt blonde and the other person was - that was my total feeling!) However!! As I said. Everyone else wasnt like the two rude cashiers. Even the security lady was such a pleasure to be greeted by. Happy to be there. Happy to help. Its nice to go in somewhere and the people r just nice!

After I had an issue with some travel books I ordered on Amazon, not Amazons fault but the good old USPS, I decided to buy the books at Barnes and Noble. The books were in stock, however, they were considerably more expensive than on Amazon. Im talking about $7-$10 per book. I guess thats a premium you pay when buying at a brick and mortar store. The bookstore was quiet, but I couldnt help noticing the number of people at the Starbucks Coffee area that were sitting there using the free Wi-Fi, looking at books and just lounging there. Buying a Frappuccino doesnt give you the right to be there all day and use the Wi-Fi. No wonder the books are so expensive there.

I just had a horrible experience with"Frank". I travel frequently and needed some books for my flight today from LAX to JFK and downloaded some coupons for discount which he would not even look at for my discount!! I bought 4 books but Frank treated with all the rudeness and arrogance he could muster. I frequent their store in Plano TX where I live but after todays really horrendous buying experience I think my family( large extended) and I are done. We will stick with Costco where they take care of business. I would like to believe that retail book sellers would bend over backwards to embrace customers. But not in Manhattan beach.

I come to this Barnes and Noble often. I like to do work in the cafe section. It is a good size, though not the biggest of the Barnes and Noble. The selection of books is still quite good and their magazine section is extensive. The cafe has a good amount of seating so Im always able to find a table. They serve Starbucks coffee drinks, an extensive selection of delicious pastries and other sweets, Cheesecake Factory cheesecakes, hot sandwiches and soups. They are open late (until 10:00) and have free wifi. The staff there has always been friendly and quite helpful.

A large location, the staff are friendly and open to helping you out when they ask. Kudos to the door guard whos been there for years - hes always very kind and opens the door for people. There is a place to sit inside the store and read, a small area of toys, music, and of course the kids area. All are well maintained and clean.

The Starbucks section is a waste of your time. Once my kids had a banana we bought from Traders Joe, she walked over and ask us to leave BC we have outside foods??? I wouldnt come back here, again. Then she wants to charge me 45C for couple of water after shopping $50?? Not customers service oriented at all

This Barnes & Nobles has a large expanse of different varieties of books to nooks to choose from. Although it isnt the largest Barnes & Nobles I have been to, and some of the people that work there arent all that friendly either, but its quite nice and if your looking for a good book you should check it out.

This location of B&N is the best. Always clean, bright and organized, its one-level layout makes the maneuvers very easy, especially if you have a kid who stays at the childrens section. Smart idea to have Starbuck at its lounge!

This store is always clean. The staff is friendly and helpful. I love the environment! There is nothing like a good book accompanied by a cup of coffee. If you like reading be prepared to spend hours in this store.

Came in with my elderly friend and i have to say its great Doneshia the customers service lady was so patient and nice to her.The elderly sometimes get inpatient attitudes from people. DEFINITELY NOT THE CASE HERE!

They have a good supply of books, music, toys, and other cool items. They have good coffee and places to sit. They have a large magazine selection. They stay open later than all other retail stores in the area :)

Great place I buy like 4 or 5 books every month and i read them all... so... it is very nice to read and buy more books often. Love this barnes & noble. Everybody is so nice and happy and pleasant.

Great place to go if you need some quiet time to study or take care of business. Theres usually plenty of seating in the café. Great place for study groups as well.

The best place to relax. Pick up a New York Bestseller and enjoy a Coffee Bean coffee. The staff is also very knowledgeable in a lot of authors and book series.

This Barnes and Noble has a good selection of books and has plenty of places to sit down and read your book! The staff at the cafe is very friendly and quick!
