I went to trade my books in and found out that they only give store credit. They give you half of the publishers price and they only take PAPERBACKS ( i.e. book cost $6.00 they give you $3.00). However, while you get store credit the amount of credit depends on which section of books your books fall into (childrens, classics, mysteries). Also, then I found out when you go to use your credit they subtract the total price of your books from your credit and then you pay 50% of what your books cost. ( Books cost $30. They subtract $30 from your credit and then charge you $15). The transaction was smooth and the staff were very friendly. I just found it unfortunate because I was quite confused by the explanation that the saleswoman gave me. Very good selection and very neat. I would recommend going here to buy books but I feel like you still could get better prices off amazon (even with shipping) or goodwill. Not good if looking for art books.

i first went to the book rack a year ago and was so excited because i had yet to find a place with such a great selection and a knowledgeable staff. i went back a month ago and was severely disappointed. not only did they hardly have any popular authors but when i asked the woman behind the counter for "the friday night knitting club", she had no idea what i was talking about and offered to order it for me. duh, i have the internet too. i politely declined. i found a couple of books but then was taken aback by their convoluted way of exchange. somehow, i ended up owing money and yet still had a credit. when i asked why they tried to explain the nonsensical way they came up with it but i was just too incensed and left vowing to lose my credit because it was not worth the hassle.

Ive been on the lookout for a few specific books, and Google turned up the Book Rack. I was pleased to find all three of the books Ive been looking for, at a decent price and in good condition. My fiance, however, didnt have nearly as much luck as I did; even so, the staff found for him a book by one of his favorite authors he hadnt even known about. The staff was friendly, and while the selection isnt what i was used to from the huge used bookstores back in Phoenix, it was pretty broad and well organized. Ill definitely be back.

WOW! this place rocks! i love the deals, though some say they arent fair. You trade in lets say 5 books and get 5 dollar credit. you find a book thatis 5 dollars. you use half your credit(2.50) and you pay 2.50! so fair. prices are great-most books cost about 3.50. Some un-common or old books are only 2.00! I reccammend this place to book lovers who spend to much money on books! GREAT place 10 of 5 stars:)

Im really excited I found this place! My first time going in last week and I really liked it. Staff was friendly and informative, which is a nice change compared to other bookstores Ive been to lately. Fairly good selection, and you can trade in your old paperbacks for store credit which in turn makes the books even cheaper. I read ALOT and as a bargain hunter, this place is a good deal.

What a great place to spend time and money! The owner, her daughter, and ALL the staff are super friendly and helpful, and always have a suggestion if youre looking for something different than you usually read, or more of the same.

Whoah! So many sci-fi used books! And if youre into romance novels, I found a mini room full of books in color-coded groupings. The store is meticulously organized, and the owner knows exactly where to find anything you request.
