Whenever I head to Ellens Pinoy Grille for some of their famous sisig, Ill make a quick stop at Walgreens for some clearance section diving & other shopping. Out of all the drugstores, Walgreens is my favorite to frequent. The layout is easy to navigate, the prices are competitive & their usually conveniently located to other places I visit. Im a Kaiser Permanente member, so Ive never utilized the pharmacy. For those that do need a pharmacy, this location has a drive-thru when youre in a hurry. The entrance is on the north side of the building, with the exit on the south. Convenience is the name of game. Walgreens is open everyday, including Christmas for procrastinators. The shelves are well organized, clearly labelled & all in a clean store. After a holiday, youll find all sorts of 50% off deals to be had. I like stocking up on chocolate post-Halloween, post-Christmas, post-Valentines Day & post-Easter. If youre lucky & wait, you might find good stuff marked down to 75%. Service has generally nice & courteous. I havent had an issue thus far during my many visits. Ample parking, with an electric charging station, too. Walgreens will continue to have my business, with their convenient locations, good prices & clearance finds. Winter is coming up, so I see buying some Nyquil and Robitussin from here in my future. Yes, I am psychic. Recommend!

Last month my pain meds were not covered because they told the insurance it was for ptsd, so $200 I had to pay. Now I set here in horrible pain because they are trying to get it authorized. I am on disability, one of the main reasons is my horrible chronic pain. I droped off the prescription on the 30th, now the 9th still waiting in pain, dont even have the courtesy to call or say anything. When I call they talk in circles, give me multiple different answers, blam my doctor, the insurance but dont take any responsibility!!!! I am beyond pissed, I wish they knew what it was like to have granulomas riping up your organs, joints and dealing with immobilizing pain. No compassion, my doctors/pharmacy in Wisconsin where I moved from would never let me go more than a day without my meds. Thanks for the suffering walgreens!!!!!!!!!! UPDATE !!!!!!!! Went in and talked to pharmacist, got my meds and now are covered. I was moving from out of state so a large portion of my dissatisfaction was in getting a answer back and paper work. I am now going to stay a customer do to the location and the pharmacists solving of the problem. This actually goes to show my belief that total enemies can get along if there are steps taken to hear both sides and come up with a plan that works for everyone. I am now a satisfied customer that will be back next month.

I go to the La Palma Walgreens often and usually my visits are pleasant. But about a month ago my doctor gave me a prescription for a 90 day supply of my medication and as I was trying to request for a refill and nearing the end of the 30 day supply I got a message stating "need prior authorization". So I called the pharmacy and it turns out that I was suppose to have gotten the full amount of my prescription which was 90 supply in full. Im so upset because why would they have not told me that upfront!? Im not the expert there and Im relying on their expertise. They said that I basically forfeited the rest. The pharmacist and the lady that answered the phone told me that if Id want the rest of the quantities that Id have to pay out of pocket if I dont get another prescription from the doctor. Its such a horrible experience because I feel like they didnt have ownership in their responsibilities and just tried to brush me off and now I have to call my doctor, explain the situation and go through all this hassle.
