1) This store is extraordinarily stressful to navigate: a) The worst part of this is the combination of fairly narrow aisles filled with display after display. People were continuously having to wait to get around each other and the displays. In front of the frozen food section, the passage way was so narrow that it was one way only! b) the store is crowded with people and c) It is huge (i.e., time-consuming to go from one end to the other looking for things). 2)In addition, even with the "club" discounts, this store is pricy. 3) One specific issue: There were maybe 50+ Haas avocados ($2 each), and every single one was soft ... spoiled. Several days past guacamole.

Went in for a cake to be ordered on a Thursday and be done at 11 on a Friday. I asked if I could be there 15 minutes earlier the baker said yes, so technically that would be 10:45. I get there and my cake was not ready, as in they never placed the order. They had me wait there until they made the cake in front of me. 15 minutes later they handed me the cake, I get to my event and they misspelled the words "its a girl" I can say that I will not be going to Safeway for my cakes, nor do I recommend them.

You would expect a large national chain should be able to offer competitive prices on every day staples. The prices on milk, eggs, fruits & vegetables are under cut significantly by every other market in town. Senior & low income housing complexes flank two sides of this shopping center. These are neighbors who could walk here to shop. The store is large, clean, well stocked & beautiful. It can boast its own deli, Starbucks, Jamba Juice Bar & bank. I just cant afford to shop here...

I noticed on my receipt that I had a $3 charge for misc. charges. Upon asking my cashier what the charge was for, she guessed that the charge was for CRV on the soda purchased. Being that this register was the only one open & their was such a long line of people waiting, I reluctantly accepted her answer. Upon further investigation, I discovered where on receipt the actual CRV charges were! So I have yet to actually find out what the charges are for.

The cashier at the register next to me was extremely rude and obnoxious.she pushed my cart into me as i was trying to get the grocery separator for the customer behind me running over my foot which is already fractured. It was a terrible experience for me as well as being over priced on all the items i looked at. Almost $7.00 for a pound of butter are you kidding me?

I love this grocery store for various reasons but there are also some down sides to it too. The current people at the sandwich and food service stations are not that wonderful. Some of them are fairly slow or dont even know what they are doing. Besides this, they have pretty good cashiers and sales. It is always a little packed but everything else is amazing.

Chain grocery store. Good deals on Fridays ($5 Fridays). Looks for deals in the wine area. Starbucks inside, deli makes some good pasta salads, but runs out often. Fried chicken is pretty good. Best time to go to avoid the crowds, is 1 hour before they close (11 pm). Nobody there. They close at midnight (not 24 hour like most Safeways).

The Safeway in Watsonville is never crowded. I go grocery shopping on Monday afternoon and I have the place to myself. The staff is always helpful and they recognized me, which is always nice. Bakery is well stocked and organized. The store made Ghirardelli chocolate chip cookies are to die for.

Never go there after 8pm. Lines are ridiculously long, 1maybe 2 checkstands open, and it smells like sewer. Their bathrooms are disgusting, makes me wonder if they cant keep a restroom clean, how are their practices handling food.

Prices were HIGH!!! What happened?? Flowers looked old and priced high as well. Now I need to find a new flower spot. What happened Safeway??? Shop at Food Max or the Grocery Outlets. .. Same items, much cheaper pirices.

Worst Safeway. Often charge incorrectly or different than listed, store organization is horrible. You can not find what you are looking for. I shop at Safeways further from my home when possible to avoid this one

Store is basically arranged quite nicely. The only thing that bothers me is that candy is on the cereal aisle and cookies or by the childrens food but other than that I think its a great store

Nice, big store. one of the newly remodelled ones. Huge produce section, large bakery selection. The layout is better than most, and its not hard to find most things.

Store is over stocked, items are poorly marked. Only go there out of necessity. Usually get home and find errors on my receipt and have to go back.

I am disappointed in Safeways decision to carry dog food from China, specifically chicken jerky. After feeding it to my dog for 6 months she died.

This Safeway is more expensive than the one on Mission in Santa Cruz, but is good over all. The stores always clean, and they have a redbox.
