Im a big fan of Whole Foods Market (particularly because Im a health foodie and have many dietary restrictions) so Ive been to nearly all of the Whole Foods around the city. This one is definitely my favorite because of its size, its hot food/restaurant stations and its selection. Its large size certainly makes it an attractive one as I dont like to be cramped while shopping and I like to see that they likely stock everything I need. Some added bonuses at this location is the smokehouse, which is also one of the restaurant stations. They serve delicious smoked bbq meets including brisket, pulled chicken and beef, baby back pork ribs, and more (it varies daily), as well as smoked chickens. All the meat is usually tender and juice (though every once in a while there are some dry looking meets probably because its the end of the day). You can order burgers and bbq sandwiches here too and "dine-in." They have a mexican and a Japanese sushi restaurant station in here that both have dine-in options and to-go items available. Both are really good! The mexican restaurant has a taco tuesday ($1) tacos, and the carne asada is some of the best Ive ever had in LA. (Im a Mexican food snob so this means a lot!!!). The sushi is fresh and high quality with some awesome specialty rolls, brown rice and mixed grain options. Theyve got a great selection of meats at the butcher including many buffalo options and lamb. The seafood section will grill your seafood on the spot for you. Ive never not been able to find something Im looking for here. Its rarely crowded and when it is the line goes fast because they have plenty of cashiers. Its always a pleasant shopping experience here.

This weekend, we were in LAX on a 7hr layover, & took a cab to get our Wholefoods fix at the EL SEGUNDO store. What a disappointment, not in the food but in the cleanliness of the store, especially in the eating areas, both in and outside. nothing was cleaned off, there wasnt a trash can in sight, we asked and an employee simply took our trash (somewhere). On closer inspection, I noted the entire facility appeared unkempt, floors dirty, etc. But, the ladies restroom was hands down, THE absolutely most ABHORRENT bathroom Ive EVER experienced outside of a 3rd world country! Let alone a grocery store! Absolute FILTH! I dont mean a few used paper towels on the floor. This was Wet slimy floors tracked from the toilets to the sink, and back into the store!!! Disgusting matter & messes in the stalls, on the floor, on the toilet seats. This wasnt something that just happened...it had been there a long while & wasnt just 1 instance. QUESTION: How do employees wash their hands in a sink with faucets they have to touch to turn on/off, and then use a door handle to get out? AGH! I wouldnt wash my hands there. I wish I would have taken a photo with my cell, but honestly, couldnt stand being in there long enough to do it. We did report this...it was received as not old news with no apology or sense of urgency about the matter. A HUGE disappointment for a Wholefoods!!

I purchased a watermelon from your store today, as soon as I got home, I proceeded to cut it, and to my surprise, the watermelon was uneateable. Right away I called the store, I asked if I could return it, I was told yes, only if I had the receipt, and I said yes. When I got to the store with the watermelon and receipt, I proceeded to the customer service desk, an employee by the name of Mario, did not even bother to apologize for the inconvenience, he only told me to follow him to the register that he would refund me my money. He made me feel that I was being an inconvenience for him, something I didnt appreciate from him. I am a regular customer in your, i have many places where i can shop, and paying top dollars for products at your store, I expect to have a better shopping experience.

My husband and I worked with Kristy at the Whole Foods El Segundo bakery to make our wedding cake. Im vegan so it was hard to find the perfect baker. We found her though! Our cake was INCREDIBLE. It was beautiful, it tasted so good. And Kristy was one of our favorite vendors! She was so kind, helpful, considerate, organized, and followed up with us to help us stay on top of things. We came in for two tastings. She let us design our cake however we wanted, she turned our cake into a masterpiece (waiting for our photographer to send pictures but seriously, it was GORGEOUS). People have been raving about our cake since the wedding. Not sure everyone knew it was vegan because it was so incredible. Our guests LOVED it. Well be back for more cake :)

This place is always solid. Wide selection. New bar they put in has superb food and drinks. The hot bars usually have something decent to choose from. The only thing is their security is a little overboard got yelled at for grazing on my hot food like seriously?! I ate a piece of chicken to make sure I liked it and this oversized dude is going to come up to me and threaten to get me in trouble... he seriously must have nothing better to do. Otherwise this place is a main staple in my diet

This Whole Foods is beautifully laid out. They have every food imaginable -- even fresh vegan pizza. Sometimes Whole Foods is referred to as whole check. I pick up my hard to find ingredients such as raw cacao nibs here. This is the only grocery store I plan to arrive with an appetite. They have anything from sushi to hot food sold by the pound. This gets five stars. I love the cashiers who take the time to connect with eye contact and great conversation.

Whole Foods is a niche place. For me its not a place to do all my grocery shopping. The best items at the store are the seafood and meat department. I know that Im getting true organic grass feed meat and sustainable seafood. Their produce is way overpriced. Ive seen the same organic produce from the same farms at others store for half the price. The ready to eat food section is also a scam. Its fast food with a fancy package. Liquor selection is good.

Although theyre less prevalent these days, I still struggle with the solicitors who stand outside this location. This is a large Whole Foods store - so expect to spend some time in it! The store is clean, neat, and in order. The self-serve area can get a little messy, but its not an issue. Even with its size, this is a high traffic location, so be prepared for some lines during peak hours. Staff is always friendly - if you cant find something just ask!

The trip was mostly okay until a surly, young cashier with bleached hair, caked on makeup, Sharpie-penned eyebrows, and a chola attitude tried to ruin the visit. Fortunately, an empathetic cashier observed the behavior and asked me about it while taking over my order. "Shes always rude, even to me," the rescuer shared. But instead of commiserating, management needs to step in and fire the nasty gal. Cry later, lil loca!

Bought 2 pastries + a medium Latte one early morning & had a meeting with a friend at their indoor tables. At one point I added 1/2 cup of hotter coffee to my Latte. As I walked out later, a security guard stopped me, brought me back in and told me the cameras caught me taking free" coffee. I threw $2 on the counter and left...very angry. Theres gotta be a better way to handle this! Now I really dont like Whole foods.
