I purchased two sets of shears three years ago and was told at the time of the purchase that I could exchange them for another pair if I decided they werent a good fit for me. Very soon after I purchased them, I realized the chunking shears I purchased just werent something Id likely use. I tried them out maybe twice and then decided to reach out to my rep to exchange them for something Id actually use. My rep was impossible to reach and wouldnt return my many calls and voice mails to fulfill my request. After months of trying to reach him I finally gave up. Some time went by and my unfortunate experience came up in conversation with a fellow barber. He remembered the rep I was dealing with, agreed that rep was notorious for leaving customers hanging but there was a new rep in town. I left a VM for that rep and again, no response. I then decided to call the main office and they directed me to the second rep who never got back to me. Finally I gave up again until today, I was looking for blade refills for my razor and a rep contacted me through their web page asking if I needed and help. First off, theres no where to purchase blade refills locally which is ridiculously inconvenient and second, I was directed to the local rep to ask yet again about exchanging my chunking shears. The virtual rep said I could contact my local rep but chances are, Im stuck with these ridiculously over priced shears that are nearly brand new and service that isnt even sub par. In a nutshell, buy locally, dont waste your time/money on a product from a company whos most likely just going to give you more of a headache than its worth.

I am a salon owner and purchased 2 sets of shears and thinning shears back in May. I love the shears however the customer service was extremely poor after receiving my shears. The sales rep never followed up afterwards to make sure I was liking the shears and I have been trying for 2 months to get them sharpened and can not get a representative to come pick them up for sharpening. The warranty will be voided if I have them sharpened somewhere else. Thank god I did not purchase their insurance which covers shear sharpening! I emailed the corporate office and they said someone would be contacting me to get them sharpened and that was two weeks ago and still nobody has contacted me. Worst company I have ever purchased from and I have been in this industry for 20 years.

I like how sharp the sheers are, but they are a bit pricey. I live in New Mexico and the guy who sold me the sheers was very nice but I soon found out I had to watch my bank account. There were two instances when my account was charged twice when I had already made a payment. I ended up paying the rest of what I owed for the sheers in cash thinking it would just be over. the next month I see a payment being processed and taken out of my account from hatori hanzo. I am beyond upset and Ive tried talking to reps since "all of a sudden" the guy who sold me my sheers is no longer with the company. I havent received a call back and havent been refunded. I feel like I had been taken advantage of and feel ripped off.

I will never reomend this company to anyone they do not work with u on payments like they said they dont tell u the truth on how much ur paying for the shears and they r wayy to exspensive. They lie to you about everything all this company cares about is money nothing else. They will not even take the shears back after i said i wanted to cancel everything. They said you are past your return date. I will never buy another thing or recomend anyone to buy thier stuff.

Chris Werme, the AZ sales rep in the Phoenix/Chandler area was excellent with his presentation. After trying out a few dozen shears, I found the best pair and absolutely do NOT regret my decision to purchase a pair. I got the double swivel pair and have not been happier. The ability to hold a neutral wrist while performing my best work has saved me a lifetime of discomfort. These are the best shears I have ever come across. Money well spent!!!
