On Friday afternoon 12/2/16 I went to the Dublin, CA store to buy a HDMI high-speed cable when I picked up one from the shelf and had a quick question from a employee in Audio/Video Deparment about the Insignia 6 HDMI 1080p 10.2 Gbps. I ask the employee if this was a High-Speed and he responded; "Are you talking to me" surprisingly I said "yes" he said "ok, how can I help you" I asked "is this a high Speed HDMI cable" even though it said it was on the back of the box, he said "no, its not high Speed" and tried to sell me a moor expensive Cable that has gold plated connections and I said "yes but,will this cheeper cable work on both a 720p & 1080p Smart HDTV, he then said yes, but only when he realised, I wasnt going to be lied to and cond out of spending more money on something that I didnt need! They are always trying to sell the highest priced items they sell, and thinking that you are so stupid that youll think that the Gold plated in-wall 18Gbps. Are much better and last longer. And maybe thats true, but I have 10 + year old ones that arent gold plated more than half the price of and they still deliver the same quality as they did for the first time I used them, the lesson is: Just because if someone tells you that something is better then the other, doesnt mean it is that! Even though I was told the next day from a way better employee that they dont make commission on sales, Then why are they always trying to sell the most expensive items that they sell! They are a bunch of liars! And dont know what they are selling or how it works over the 2 days in a row I went there on the first day I received terrible service on Friday afternoon 12/2/16 and on the 2nd day I went there early in the morning (Saturday 12/3/16) and received excellent service from James D. In Audio/Video Deparment he really knew a whole lot about the products that they sell. I ended up buying 2 Gold plated HDMI 5 low-profile 10.2 High-Speed cables and James D. said that the price tag was supposed to have been changed to a newer higher price, but said since you saw it priced at half the price it should have been, that he would have to give me the lower price. I was impressed by his honesty and asking him a lot of Questions about 3-4 more high end priced products that I have been considered in buying there within the next 3-4 months he answered all of those questions conference in a way you knew he really knew what he was talking about. And I also knew he was right about everything he said about them is because I have done my own research on these products over the past 4 months to the point that I could even get a job there and know more than 99% of the other employees there know. Except James D.! UPDATE: one other thing on Friday 12/2/16 when I went back to Best Buy, Dublin store at 9:00pm. They were just closing down the store. Even though it says that it was open till 10:00pm that night on the Best Buy Google Search page. I dont know if that was either Best Buys fault or Googles fault, but there was clearly a miscommunication in updating the correct hours for Friday night hours! So I suggested a edit to the Friday night hours on google but so far it hasnt been updated! I guess It can take up to a couple of days to weeks later to make the correction.

Last thanksgiving, I went bestbuy Dublin bought a new refrigerator and opened a new credit card with them. After that I spent hours on phone to get my reward points from purchasing the refrigerator. I was trying to use the points on Christmas, but I was told that the points hadnt be recorded. Same thing happened before Labor Day and Independence Day. I called at least 5,6 times and eventually, my bestbuy points has been recorded in August. Then I went to the Dublin store in September and purchased twice. Everytime, I told the checkout staff that I want to use my points with my bestbuy credit card; they let me use the card. At that time, I was pretty sure by using theses points I wont owe money to the credit card. However, today I received the credit card statement, no points were redeemed at all. And again I started to call, just like months before. I called the credit card telephone number, and I was transferred to rewards department. Then I was told I should call the credit department again. I called the credit department again and I was told to call the store directly. I called the store, and I was told theres a miscommunication there. I should tell my telephone number to redeem my points. Well, as a customer, how can I know that I need to tell the staffs my telephone number to use these points if no one told me this. I did emphasized that I am going to redeem my points at the time of purchase. At last, no one can solve my problem and let me use these points. This is the worst experience I have for redeem reward points. update: 5days before Black Friday, I called bestbuy to make sure that I can actually use these points. I was told that my points has been expired. How can this happens all the time. I was told these points lasts for one year, and I didnt get my points untill late July this year. And now, points were expired. After a while, the staff over the phone said he would issue me new certificates toward my expired points. Hopefully, I can actually use these points during the coming thanksgiving.

AVOID BEST BUY- AT ANY COST !! you will never find worse trained, more dishonest criminals to rob your money. period. they dont tell u they sell u refurbished garbage at full price then deny any liability when u discover the inside labelling! the only reason its one star is there is no option for NEGATIVE 50 stars. location is nothing but slick, con-artist, false promises - no delivery scammers. they will say ANYTHING to sell, once you have problems w your defective electronics. manager is ALWAYS "ON LUNCH!", assis manager - WORST NASTIEST LITTLE liar will laugh at you and give you the run-around worse than your nightmares. they play games, say all managers are "in a meeting or on vacation" while hes standing in the aisle flirting w customers for sales, then make you wait 1 hr, then switch and say the other is on lunch break ! hoping to exhaust you that you will just give up. every person claim to be "assistant manager" then make you go through your entire ordeal THEN correct their lie "BTW: they werent really the assistant manager! its just fun to call themselves that ha ha! suckers! " they walk away and make you wait another hour. the amount of time, $$, con they throw at you - you are better off to cut to the chase and take them to small claims court. you will NEVER GET ANYTHING ACCOMPLISHED there - BESTBUY will never admit lies they told you. so you better have recorded all their LIES CONVERSATION. if you enjoy being scammed and cheated out of your hard earned money, this group of professional sleazy scammers is the store for you!
