We went to see diamonds on a Saturday afternoon at 430, store closes at 5. Mr Acosta met us rudely at the door, telling us he had already put away his inventory. As the owner of a small business in Davis, he should have been more willing to accommodate us, as our community wants to support small business. My husband and I travel frequently and unfortunately hes a prime example of why small businesss fail. Mr Acosta should never judge a book by the cover, he looked at us thinking we had limited finances and not worth his time. The reality is we run a multi million dollar corporation, and could purchase any number of diamonds. We had every intention to buy a anniversary diamond band today. We have two daughters attending Davis University, we try to support the local Davis community. In all of our years in business and personal dealings hands down this was the rudest weve ever been treated. My mother always says one bad experience will get around faster than 10 good ones, and from this experience I will make sure everyone we know will hear how we were treated. Mr Acosta is a poorly dressed rude man who needs to learn better etiquette when dealing with customers.

This is a great example of a community business. The owner and his associates take the time to talk to customers and work with them to handle their purchase/repair needs. Many tricky repairs have been made, always at very reasonable and competitive prices. This is especially appreciated on items that are not necessarily worth a lot of money, but have significant sentimental value. I have never felt up-sold in this store. They even still change watch batteries! They also contribute to many local fundraisers and every year host a giving tree for families in need during the holidays. I am happy to support this small business in Davis.

I have purchased from Frank (owner) for as long as Ive been with my wife - for over eight years hes never steered me wrong. He custom made me a beautiful heart-shaped platinum and diamond ring which I proposed with, and we have since purchased a set of diamond studs, two more rings and a custom wedding band from him. We now live over 100 miles away, but come back just for his prices and expertise. In fact, he gives me a hard time when I try the competition, because throughout the state I havent found his equal. The most refreshing part about working with Frank is that I go in expecting to get a good deal, and I always do.

My wife is an entomologist and wanted her 33 year old wedding band recast to include scarab beetles. Frank did not blink an eye, he listened intently and created a beautiful ring that was not too expensive because we used the gold from the original ring. I highly recommed 3rd street jewelers.

My mother in law and I needed a medallion for a baptism, we had looked with no luck in other places and Franks jewelery had the most beautiful medallion for our special occasion. My mother in law is very religious and Frank did it:) He had the image of the Santisima Trinidad. Thanks!!!

This place has a horrible selection and the owner is really "shady." Without going into details, he ROYALLY screwed us over on an order. Avoid this place at all costs! DJ Jewelers in Woodland is much more reputable!
