Not very welcoming. It is definitely the managers fault. While her sales persons and I were having a conversation about how unfriendly the sale persons were who worked on that day (02/27/16). I walked around for at least 20 minutes. No one ever walked up to me and said, "may I help you". Ive been to several of your stores and this one In JC Penny Serramonte is the worst. I should never have to feel uncomfortable because of the color of my skin or because of my hijab. There were two people who made me feel welcome in the end. The young woman (sales rep) who apologize a few times while the ill mannered manager walked off of with first lady (sales rep) I was talking to. The second young lady (sales rep), who apologize too and gave me free samples. I was even more insulted because I was talking to the first young lady. The conversation carried over to the second young lady (sales rep), I was totally ignored by the manager. Her disposition was not of a manager. Managers do apologize and make it right. Between getting the free samples the lipstick I purchase. Somehow by the time got to my truck. I couldnt find my purchase. I retrace my steps from the truck back to the store and could not find the lipstick. I thought maybe I left it there. This time I was greeted by a young man (sales rep) very nice, however he appeared to be a little nervous. As I was telling him the story of what happened while I was in the store the first,. He sincerely listening, however it dored me he could have been afraid of me. So I stop right in the middle of the conversation and I said, "are you afraid of me" . He said ,"no". I ask again and then I started to laugh to make light of everything and he said, "no" again. I said are you afraid of me because of my hijab, Im a Muslim. Again he said, "no". I said to him you had a look of being afraid me. He ressured me he wasnt afraid. It kind of hurt me, to my heart for a moment to see someone is afraid of you be cause of the way youre dressed. However he did make a call to prevention loss to make a report and I received my lipstick. I dont know if this is the case with the manager, I hope that she can learn to be tolatrate of people who looks different from her.Ive also learned a valuable lesson too. You have to forgive. The sales rep told me the next time I need help just come to him.Im happy with that

I went to this sephora late it was 15 min before they close but I knew what I needed so it wouldnt take more then 3 minutes I seen that they didnt have the product I needed on top so I figured hey it doesnt hurt to ask maybe they have some in the bottom now the only lady working was talking to someone else all i got to say was"excuse me sorry to interrupt but do you" and before I even finish asking the lady gave me a look and nodded her head saying no so I walked out

If I could give 0 stars I would. I walked around for 10-15 minutes and the store was empty. The staff members were just having their own conversations no one approached me or welcomed me. Ive been to many sephoras and even the busiest ones Ive had people at least greet me when I was in there. Worst customer service!
