I admit it, I am a woman who has overly emotional outbursts from time to time. Turn up some emotionally unstable Alanis Morissette and put me in the same room with testosterone. You, You, You Outta Know! My woman card has already been taken away from unnecessarily sobbing into my ice cream tub. Well I think it was fate or maybe it was the fact that blasting Nirvana caused my erratic driving and placed me into Bitter+Sweets parking lot. I finally found a place that can balance all of these hormonal outbreaks. SF bound Humphry Slocombe ice cream, Panini sandwiches, scrumptious looking desserts and beautifully presented espressos not to mention their star player The Red Velvet Latte. I just found my last resting place for my unstable emotions. R.I.P. I was hesitant on ordering their Paninis as it looked like they catered more towards sweet treats but I took a chance and ordered their Portobello mushroom Panini which consists of Portobello Mushrooms, Pesto, Mozzarella cheese. The sourdough bread was crispy and grilled very nicely. If youre into hot chocolate they can whip up a very sexy and delicious hot one but if youre more into into novelty flavors like Red Velvet they have it here too! I thought the red velvet would be more sweet but to my surprise it wasnt, with a hint of red velvet (emphasis on hint) it satisfied my jitter juice cravings. For a cup of coffee it can get pricey around $4ish. Great place to indulge once in a while.

When it comes to Bitter + Sweet, there is a lot to love. First, the coffee. Now Cupertino/Sunnyvale finally has access to Sight Glass in both pour over and espresso! These guys go out of their way to stock Sight Glass, and the results are delicious, meticulously brewed drinks with a decent range of varietals to choose from. Other coffee houses may offer more in terms of selection, but access to even a limited selection of Sight Glass roasts in the South Bay gives Bitter + Sweet bonus points. Next, the pastries. Delicious and bountiful selection of fresh pastries ranging from croissants to brioche. The staff offers to heat them when ordered, and this really makes all the difference. Next, the ice cream. Sight Glass isnt the only SF export served up at Bitter + Sweet, they also offer a healthy selection of delicious Humphrey Slocombe ice cream! Secret Breakfast? Yes, please! Last but not least, this coffee house offers a great atmosphere with friendly staff and a host of amenities -- pay with Square, Wifi, and Five Stars loyalty points. Well worth the visit.

This use to be my favorite coffee shop in Cupertino and I regularly came here because the drinks are usually good. But about 2 weeks ago that changed when the owner was out of town and left a bunch of bozos running the shop. First, I walked into very loud rap/hip hop music. I listen to all types of music, but ambience was not that of what I expected, a ghetto environment and ghetto barista. The male barista - short hair and cap and tattoos (not sure what his name is) was a jerk. No greeting, big attitude when I asked for a wi-fi code he had a very annoyed demeanor as I had interrupted him from surfing the web on his phone and chatting with his colleagues. There are plenty of options in Cupertino, I hope the owner Jas fixes this soon as she will be losing a lot of customers if these continues.

I have been here a couple of dozen times now. Started going on the day they opened. Continue to patronize the place. They have some awesome baristas who make great beverages. My personal choice is the chai latte which is just exquisite. For lovers of coffee, I have sampled the Red velvet latte a few times and like it quite a bit. They offer Humphrey Slocombe ice cream and some nice baked goods to go with their coffees and teas. The place has a welcoming atmosphere and great seats to sit and enjoy a sip. Their prices are on the higher side (chai lattes and coffees go for $4.5) but thats tax inclusive. So not too bad. Highly recommended.

The drinks are tasty and the coffee is high quality (not over roasted like so many places). I typically get a regular coffee or an Americano, but I have also tried their specialty coffee drinks. Many people swearby the red velvet latte, but I find the flavor doesnt match well with the coffee. The mocha has a strong dark chocolatey flavor that I like, but people often add significant amounts of sugar. The major complaint is the lack of seating. As the popularity grows, it is less and less easy to grab a place to sit for even a few minutes. As such, I find myself skipping this place unless Im going to the nearby Kee Wah bakery.

I absolutely love love love their Red Velvet Latte. It is heavenly. I have yet to see it anywhere else, and am so glad because Bitter+Sweet does it so well. They stay true to their name, because their drinks really are at the intersection of bitterness and sweetness - which is what makes this place so good. The ambience is great - its peaceful and quiet enough to have a quick date or study session. Even though the location is pretty small, I have never seen this place get crowded. This place is definitely one of my favorite coffee spots. I always make an excuse to stop by and its always worth it.

Bitter + Sweet is on my list of go-to spots for studying. I love that theres a lot of parking around this shopping center! My favorite drink here is definitely the red velvet latte; its a drink that not many places have and its kinda fun. Ive also had a couple of their empanadas for lunch and theyre great; they come with a small side salad too. In the evenings youll usually find a few people here hunkered down with laptops and books. Great spot for studying or even meeting a few friends for some coffee. Oh yeah, they also have Humphrey Slocombe ice cream here (yes, their ice cream is pretty amazing).

Cute place for a first date. The coffee is good and the service is friendly. Bitter+Sweet also has some rare ice cream flavors from Humphreys Slocombe like Black Sesame - which is really delicious. They also serve affogato with real ice cream. (Ive had affogato with the soft serve ice cream/yogurt stuff and that is not okay.) Located in a cute little cobblestone side street with parking in a small garage underneath the businesses, this coffee shop is also a stones throw away from the Cupertino Public Library. And even though the spot is tiny, there is usually plenty of good seating available.

The best (and probably only) affogato in town! If you have never had it before, it is a luscious scoop of vanilla ice cream topped with a shot of espresso. In addition to the outstanding selection of Sightglass coffee, Bitter + Sweet also serves up a wide variety of cakes, Satura pastries, and Humphrey Slocombe ice cream. If you are lucky enough to visit during lunch time (before 2pm), try the P&FJ panini (proscuitto fig jam). The combination of salty proscuitto mellowed out by sweet fig jam, all oozing out from a hot panini bread is absolutely divine!

It is very intimate feeling place. Warm, cozy, and beautifully presented. I did come in around 6 p.m. while it was dark outside, lighting may be worse during the day. I came here to do homework during a low hour after work, unfortunately all the seats near outlets were taken. Quality seems well up to par for price payed and amount received(3.75 for a cappucino). Definitely an amazing spot to meet with a close friend (not 2 and more), a date, or just sit and read. So long as the crowds stay away, but that seems unlikey with the quality of the place.
