I went to Pepboys located in West Covina for an alignment. I had gotten 4 new tires elsewhere which they didnt offer the alignment service. So I decided to take my car to Pepboys. I walked in and told them I wanted to get an alignment done. The guy quickly help me out. Took my information, I asked him if he can please call me once the car was done. So he did call me but only to tell me, that in order to do my alignment I needed to purchase a camber kit or else the alignment would be pointless in doing. I asked him what was the purpose for it & how much that would cost. He said it was totally necessary so the tire can be aligned correctly. And it was going to be $289 plus the cost of the alignment. I told him no because I had just replaced my tires and the tires were worn out evenly and I didnt need such thing. To go ahead and do the alignment anyways without the kit. His tone of voice started to increase and was rude. He said they would NOT do it unless I bought the kit. I asked him for the second time to go ahead and do the alignment that it was fine. He refused to do the service again if I didnt purchase the kit. So I said I was just gonna take the car, got my keys and I left. The guy went by the name RICH! Totally unprofessional on the phone. Horrible service after I refused to buy what they were socalled "recommending". I took my car to another Tire Shop. And they did the alignment service just fine, my car DID NOT NEED a camber kit.! PEPBOYS IS A RIP OFF DONT TAKE YOUR CAR THERE!!!

This place was terrible! I have never written a review before but this time I felt it is was necessary... They tried taking advantage of me and they will do the same to you!! They wanted to charge me over $200 and the problem occurring didnt even need what they were trying to sell me! I didnt let them go through with what they recommended and the manager yelled at me for not carrying a piece that fit correctly. Plus they kept me waiting for 40 minutes, they didnt even have the decency to tell me my car was done. Once I got the car back my AC was already working again (probably just needed a little adjusting). This place is disgusting!!! Do not use them, they will just try taking advantage of you too!!!! Update: After reading this, the manager Tom looked up my information to call me personally and apologize for the way that I was treated. He also offered me a refund for the initial cost of looking at the car and assured me his employees would receive the proper training necessary in regards to customer service.

I had a flat driving back from Palm Springs to the Bay Area. After calling around to find any place open on a Sunday afternoon that didnt have a four hour wait to do a simple one tire installation, I spoke to Israel, who assured me it would be 1 to 1.5 hours. We arrived and he took care of everything and we were out in under 1.5 hours. About an hour down the road, he called me to let me know Id left my laptop in their waiting room. After so long on the road I really didnt want to turn around and drive back and he assured me he could ship it to me via fed ex and to call back in the morning. I called their store in the morning and spoke to the manager, Rich, who said it would be no problem. I created a fedex pickup to that store and emailed Rich the shipping label. Thats where I currently am in the process, but I wanted to provide feedback on such excellent customer service. This was my first trip to pep boys but wont be my last.

This is the perfect place to go if you want to feel invisible and under-valued as a customer. I walked up to the counter where a service associate stood looking helpful. When he got called away for a moment, the two other associates standing a few feet away pretended not to see me as they discussed a mutual friend. When an elderly woman came in behind me, they literally walked AROUND me to ask what she needed. She was there to pick up the keys to her car that had been serviced. The associate, without checking, said, "Theyre still working on it." The woman shook her head, "No they arent, it is parked over on the side." After checking they discovered that her car was indeed done. When she left, the other associate came over to me and asked if I needed anything! After standing there and being ignored for a solid five minutes I said, "Yes, I need to find another service shop." I left.

I went to get a wheel alignment and was told I needed new wheel bearings. I took my truck to Tucker Tire and was told my wheel bearings were good. I just went to have a nail pulled out of my tire and and have it repaired and was told that my tire needed to be replaced because it punctured the side wall. I again went to another place that repairs tires and saw the mechanic pull the nail out of my tire which was only stuck in the tread sideways and with the point of the nail only stuck into the rubber about 1-2 centimeters and did not even puncture completely through the tire. The nail was pulled out and did not have a puncture hole. DO NOT GET WORK DONE HERE, JUST BUY PARTS AND SUPPLIES ONLY. DO NOT PURCHASE TIRES FROM HERE. THE MECHANICS JUST WANT YOU TO PAY MORE FOR THEIR LABOR COST BECAUSE THATS HOW THEY MAKE MONEY, THEY ARE NOT PAID HOURLY.

The front desk as very unprofessional I have a job I need to be at and I asked over and over how long an oil change would take. Mind you I drove into a clear lot with no cars and one already pulled down parked and ready to go. So he says it will b pulled up. Cool. 15 mins go by and no one has touched my car. So I walk to the front ask this same guy whats the hold up he walks away comes back into his desk area without a word of notice as to why my car hasnt been pulled up. At this point Im like give me my keys Im not losing my job for these fools. All of a sudden someone begins working on my car and Mr cant communicate comes out to tell the guy I want my car.oh he heard that come out but couldnt come and properly tell me what the hold up was. Very rude and horrible service. I see why its so clear. No one wants to work

Auto car stereo on website Im headed ship to store so I can pick it up when I got there they informed me that it was broken and they would sell it to me never called me to let me know in advance looked around and store to find another car stereo found one but it was a display model and the guy said no problem you can bring it back the other knee problems when I got to home want to install car radio and noticed it wasnt a boss brand it was Jensen Brand I didnt even work they put the wrong brand car stereo in the Box and it was broken at that is probably a had been returned already thats why they put it back on the Shelf and then when I went to go return it they gave me a hard time I would never come here again only come here if you want to be cheated
