This Ralphs does a lot of volume -- as do a lot of beach city stores. Unfortunately, it means that the lines are long and the service is poor. As a dad with two kids under 2, I shopped at this store for years -- and regularly found myself frustrated by out of stock items, an uncarring staff, and the inability to get them to consider new products -- such as Simlac Liquid Organic formula -- which is an amazing product in that it does not stink as bad as powdered formula. It flies off the shelf at other Markets -- so it is Ralphs loss. The worst incident, which caused me to swear I would not longer shop there, happened when I returned a damaged and open can of formula -- only to find the same can on the shelf a few days later. (They regularly only stocked two cans a week, so there was none to replace my return). The manager at the front lied and said it could not be the same can and that I was mistaken. However, it had a very distinctive dent and exposed product that could only be seen when the plastic lid was removed to use it. She said the whole case must have been damaged -- but the dent was distinctive enough that my wife and I discussed it. (She found the problem when she opened the can.) I just could not believe that an opened formula can brought in by a customer could end up back on the shelf.

This Ralphs is basically my go-to for grocery shopping in the Costa Mesa area. I wish they had better deals on chicken from time to time, but Im often hard pressed to find another grocery store in the area who gives me the type of across-the-board value that Ralphs does. For anyone one whos traveling in from out of town, your Kroger or Frys Food card totally works here. The parking can get intense on the weekends, but the newly remodeled store is pretty enjoyable.

I tried to refill my prescription and the automated system was down (again). Nobody would answer the phone. Then I called back to be put on hold indefinetley... I called back to have the pharmasist answer the phone and tell me they were closed for lunch and for me to call back. I then told her I had already called several times and put on hold. I wanted to just give her my refill number. I was told "sorry about that -click" She hung up.

Stopped hear to grab some snacks for the beach and were pleasantly surprised. This location has a fantastic salad and antipasto bar. Prices are reasonable and I was able to find one of my favorite wines for about $7.00 less than other stores I had recently visited.

This store is not friendly to its costomers the check out lady was rude and single out latinos out she did not greet me. But others she did and didnt acknowledge me as a customer but others she greeted i find this store employees racist. Toward latinos.

Decent prices and a good selection. The employees are nice and helpful. This location closes earlier on sunday (found that out the hard way). Good parking and overall good shopping experience.

This is the larger Ralphs on this side of Costa Mesa. Great selection and has everything a Ralphs should have. Deli section is great and very responsive.

The aisles are somewhat narrow so its difficult to maneuver. The cashier was very friendly and very efficient.

This is a decent Ralphs given its size. Parking can be a little tricky at peak times so be prepared.

This store is depressing. Outdated floors and shelving, and the lighting is similar to horror film.
