Bought my kitchen from IKEA in April 2015. It is now August, and everything that could go wrong HAS gone wrong. They were out of stock on a lot of the pieces that we needed to finish up the kitchen, and that took a couple of months (and I had to drive to San Diego to get some parts that Costa Mesa didnt have). Their computer program overlapped cabinets, putting 133 inches of cabinets in a space that was 131 inches wide (thus, messing up the entire kitchen layout). AND FINALLY, their subcontractor who puts in the countertops, Eurostone, messed up the quartz counters in THREE different ways, and now they are refusing to fix it, and I will have to take IKEA to small claims to fix their error. By the way, when IKEAs subcontractor screws up, IKEA wont deal with the problem. They tell you that you have to deal with their subcontractor. But I purchased the kitchen and counters from IKEA, not a 3rd party subcontractor, and IKEA wont make it right. What they did (the counter top people) is horrid... instead of shaping the counters around the undermount sink, they cut a rectangle, just like a big hole for an overmount sink, and they attached the sink to the rectangle. I wish I could post photos. Its just awful. The countertop people also put a 2" overhang to the right side of my dishwasher area jutting into the 36" space for the refrigerator, so now we cant put a full size refrigerator in the kitchen because the refrigerator space is 34" wide. AND they put in a hole in the counter top in a completely different place than agreed to. Their measuring guy was Henry, and we stood in my kitchen and he agreed to place a 5" hole, 5" from the back of the counters - and they put it in 2" from the back wall. Now hes lying and saying they put it in the right spot. ITS BEEN A HORRIBLE HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE.

This location is the worst. I wouldnt give a one star but it forces me to. It should be no stars. Where this location is, there are narrow minded racist people that shop here. In addition to that, during the visit today my bf and I had the worst experience. During our transaction, the manager, Meck, decided to do a return. The cashier told the manager that she was in a middle of a transaction and the manager didnt give a damn! What the heck is that? Who does that? Due to the managers lack of tact, it made the situation worst. I told the manager that I did not appreciate that. The cashier mouthed sorry but the manager didnt say anything. The manager only said that the lady has been waiting, as if that is a reason. That maybe the case but you do not do that during another customers transaction. Then the customer said to get it over it. She then looked at me America used to be great. The manager still didnt do anything. On our way out, we saw a customer service area. Why wasnt the return done there? The situation would not have been this way if the manager would of opened a new register, waiting until our transaction was done or simply asked us prior to our transaction. My bf is a veteran and this crap we experience from a corporation is unacceptable! With this, I will not be shopping at this location, let alone this company again. They do not really care about the customers. I rather spend more money then to tolerate this bad customer service ever again.

went here for a wall mounted table that turns into a shelf. went home and tried to assemble it realizing there were no screws in the package or hinges. my pregnant wife went back since I was at work and she got the screws and hinges. I go to install it when I get home and it turns out there are more products that are missing. not just assembly tools, but main components of the package. at this point I am furious as a couple weeks before I had emailed Ikea letting them know that parts were missing. No answer from them yet. I go back to Ikea and all they do is open up a box and give me the pieces that were missing. They say this doesnt happen very often. But when it does happen, shouldnt you treat your customer with a coupon or discount or some type of compensation for having to drive back to costa mesa twice more times (50 mile round trip, so 150 miles total) to install a $30 product? ended up installing the product. I then receive the package that contained the assembly parts one month after the initial email. Guess what? The package had been stamped "package received opened" and "contents missing". So the package that was delivered didnt have anything in it. I email them asking what is this BS? They say that they will ask Sweden to send more screws to me and it should take only a couple weeks. So they expect someone to wait around for a month and a half to install a $30 product. Bottom line, I will not be going to Ikea again.

IKEA has it together and has it right. This IKEA is clean and neat. The staff is extremely nice and very helpful. IKEA always has a range of items to select from for whichever your item may be, and they have a range of prices as well which I love. Sometimes, I just want to go really cheap and would like to have something with a nicer aesthetic than I would find at Wal-Mart or Target. I bought the Malm Desk with Pull Out Panel in white, and a Fillsta Table Lamp. I love them both. The desk has all of the room that I need to fit my 27" Monitor, printer, keyboard, some books, and office supplies. With that on my desk, I still have room to work on that part of the desk as well as the side panel that pulls out. I have a new job that I started, so I always have a lot of work to do and this suites me perfect. The desk was very easy to put together, and I did it myself. The lamp is very cute and unique. It glows beautifully, but it was a bit of a hassle to put together. It was almost like piecing together a jigsaw puzzle. Needless to say, I do want a second one. Wrapping it up, check out was quick and easy, and they had helpers on hand to help load my desk in to my car. Very happy and nice experience.

A fun place to go to even if you arent looking to buy anything. Ikea is a great place to go for many purposes. They stock up on not only furniture but many intricate things for around the house usage. Their displays are great and you can get a good sense of what you may want your room to look like. The food is okay but priced well. I only knock them for the quality of their items. Most things bought here dont tend to last. Their shelves made from plywood, their sofas with foam that is too soft. Usually I would look over this if the price is right but Ive come to find that with their growing popularity, their prices have gone up as well. This price increase, I do not feel matches their quality. Still, I find myself frequenting Ikea often, as they have such a wide selection of things that you can try and their show rooms really help visualize what it may look like in your own room.
