I usually go to the UA Theaters in the Sunrise Mall but thats about it. Ive lived in Citrus Heights all of my life and I remember how thriving it was in the 80s with lots of stores inside the mall. And Sunrise Mall even expanded and has a very decent food court. But its missing fast food places such as McDonalds. They were there back in the day when I was much younger. The last time I went I noticed a lot of vacant store front buildings even key shops like GameStop were no longer there and the closest one was in the Sunrise Market Place. With all the improvements they did to the mall complex it still fails to have that charm it did a very long time ago. Perhaps this economy is not too kind to the retail environment right now but Id like to see more stores added to the mall and perhaps an arcade put back in the mall and more stores the whole family can go into and shop.

Its kinda sad here. When I lived in the Bay Area, there were two malls that Sunrise reminds me of. One was Vallco Fashion Park, and aside from a fantastic AMC Theaters anchor, it never really recovered from its glory days as a mall in the 80s and early 90s. The other was Oakridge Mall, which Sunrise is VERY close to replicating. At one point, Westfield purchased them and did an overhaul. Today, that mall is JAMMED with people and great shops and food. As a nearby resident in Fair Oaks, I would love to see this mall reinvent itself and become a hotspot on the map again. They have a TON of land (if you could outbuildings and parking lots). Theres a lot to work with, and one day it could be awesome again!

Its older and much more quaint than the Roseville Galleria. Quaint is what I prefer in a mall. It still has plenty of stores; any store Id want. Its also still a decent size - its a mall after all. Its good exercise to get from one end to the next, but I can actually make it to the other ends. Arden and Roseville malls are just too big and overwhelming for me. I dont like dealing with the parking lot or possibly dangerous parking garages. I dont like getting lost or wondering what store I parked near again. My anxiety usually sets off my sudden lack of memory. Sunrise mall is just the right size, always parking available, and a great mall for those with youngsters.

The selection of stores is not that great. I have seen a lot of stores come and go, many out of business. The movie theaters are definitely one star ( negative stars if possible) I took my son to go see a movie here and it smelled so bad I thought for sure I was going to get sick. I had to leave after 20 minutes, what made it worse was the staff, rude in response and offered no refund. The snack bar is dirty and the popcorn loomed like it was sitting all day, I actually was worried In would get food poisoning and lice from this place. I am disappointed because Sunrise mall is my neighborhood and I dont like to give such bad reviews.

This Mall is like going back in time! Reminds me of the mall back home in Ohio. These malls were very popular back in the early 80s. Bustling with customer and teenagers hanging out...NOW, not so much. Same furniture, carpet in places now feels very "retro". The movie theater is small- 4 screens but admission is only 3.99- every movie, everyday! Some of the stores are going out of business, but you still got some major players still doing well! TORRID is my favorite! Lane Bryant, Bath and Body, Victorias Secret, Sears, JC Pennys, Hot Topic to name a few. Its not "trendy" anymore, but still a great place to shop!

Yesterday I decided to "bus it" out to Sunrise mall as to meet up with a close friend! While at the mall I decided to do a little bit of shopping and while strolling through the mall I was very please to see everything so clean and fresh! By far, in my own personal opinion Sunrise Mall is the best shopping mall Ive ever been to. Heck Ive done Arden Fair Mall, Ive done K-Street Mall and Ive even done Easton Mall near Columbus Ohio, out of them all this mall is the best, not the biggest, but the best! Friendly staff, nice shops, nice crowds and the constant security presence makes one feel very safe!

Ive been to this mall so many times, I know it all by heart. Its a nice mall, small, but it has some good popular stores likes Tillys, Macys, Sears and a few other Women Apparel stores. How the mall is laid out is in a long strip. There arent any turns or anything like that. You walk in at one side and finish at the other end. Theres also a food court with a nice bathroom too. Most people spend about an hour here when browsing, and if youre actually shopping youll end up spending about 2.5 hours here. Quick easy mall.

Nice mall. Smaller than others nearby. Less crowded too. Good options in the food court. Nice selection of stores. The theater inside has Great Prices. Check it out! Just Avoid the As Seen On T.V. Store. The worker or owner is So Rude and Aggressive. There are many reviews (from other review sites) that share this similar experience regarding this store location. The mall and security were helpful when I filled a complaint about my experience. They seemed to care and committed to All Shoppers being Safe.

This is an older mall, that really feels more like a strip mall thats indoors now. There are a few decent shops and it still has some of the larger department stores, but outside of that there isnt much to this place anymore. The chain restaurants that you see attached to other malls are on opposite sides of the street even. The only real perk is that parking is relatively easy due to the lower amount of foot traffic. The whole place is in need of a makeover.

This place is on its last leg.....went to 7 stores to buy a 5 dollar item to break a $50 because every food court restaurant does not take bills over $20. Needed the cash broken for my kid and her friend to have some money. Never the less at 12:30 pm on a Sunday, you should have at least $250 in the till at all times. Someone call them and let them know how to run a mall. Special shout out to Bath and Body Works for being awesome!!!!

This mall is great if you want to avoid heavy crowds, but the offerings are limited. I mainly shop Sephora and Express and sometimes on rare occasions Macys. They also have a Cinnabon stand here too, which I should visit more rarely. There are MANY small no-name type of stores here. Most selling cheap forever 21 type apparel. Im preparing myself for the day when this mall will be no longer. Im sure its coming sooner than I think.

Well its become the bastard stepchild may I add Ginger bastard stepchild of the Galleria and quite frankly Sunrise Mall was a field that I used to drive my bike through to get from Fair Oaks to the Citrus Heights kitty corner and shoot squirrels in the Almond Orchards with my 410 before 911 actually about 40 years before 911 so I feel sorry for Sunrise Mall and I wish it would add a second story just for my ego
