Went in to pick up a video game that I had pre-ordered for my son. The refused to allow me to pick it up at first because I didnt have an ID. I called the corporate office and was told that ID is not required to pick up a pre-ordered game. The cashier informed me that "$60 is a lot of money" and that she had "no intentions of letting me walk out the door without ID" despite the fact that I had my receipts for all of the payments my son had made towards the new game he wanted. The cashier let me know that "the receipt could very well be stolen" and that "people do it all the time". Anyhow, I went and got my ID and showed it to her.. She glanced at it for almost two tenths of a second and said "now was that so hard".. What she failed to realize is that my name is NOT the name listed on the receipt lol. Additionally, when I pointed out that she had not even really looked at my ID and asked her if she even read my name she told me I could take my game and leave. I let her know that my name does not even match the name on the receipt and she tried to take the game out of my hands. Im disappointed that she made such a big deal out of the slight possibility that I may be trying to pick up a game that Wasnt mine that she Didnt even really inspect my ID or verify that I was the one the game was supposed to be given to. Soo, long story short: Game stop DOES NOT have a policy that states you need your ID when you pick up pre-ordered games, their staff is under the impression that $60 is "a lot of money", and they will give a game to ANYONE WITH AN ID however, the ID does not have to belong to the person listed on the receipt and their staff will not even look at your ID long enough to even catch your first name.

People love to rag on game stop, the evil big box store, but thats not always the case there are some great locations, this is not one of them. Every single time I go in there their pushy and dont take no for an answer... its like talking to used car salesman.and they are always losing games cant find this or that. but the thing that takes the cake is, Im a pretty regular customer they recognize me when I come in, but the chick behind the counter refuses to sell GTA 5 to me because I dont have my ID. Im 30 years old and its not like Im trying to buy alcohol or something. Just ridiculous. She was so rude about it. Just grabs the box out of my hand sets it under the counter and says "next customer in line!". There was no one behind me. See you next Tuesday.

Thank you for your excellent customer service Lisa. The Manager, Lisa, goes above and beyond when it comes to customer support. She was awesome and friendly and just a really great person,she is very good at building positive rapport with the customers.. She is very friendly, kind and knowledgeable about the store product. I highly recommend Lisa for manager of the year because she really does deserve it. She really does put the customers first and will always try to make things work out for the best, for customer satisfaction. As long as Lisa goes to this game stop you will never leave angry or upset. Thanks Lisa you are awesome and hopefully your work and great deeds dont go unnoticed. Sam

My husband bought Battlefield 1 not even 24hrs before we took the game back because he absolutely hated it. The receipt says they will work to keep you satisfied & do a return or exchange... The sales associate recited some robotic spiel about how they cant take back an opened brand new game because they cant sell it like that but then said they would give us 20 DOLLARS for it!! Like really, he was just there at 8 the night before and when he bought it they didnt mention how they dont do what their receipt says. And if they "cant sell the game like that" they how could they offer us 1/3 of the price for an exchange? Such a ripoff.

i have been going to this gamestop for a long long time i only buy my games from here and i have only had 2 problems one being that one of the employees was not assisting customers (thankfully this employee no longer works there due to that reason), 2 that my information had been lost but that was easily remedied. They know me by name in there so every time i go in there its especially great because im a huge supporter of great customer service and i must say that this specific gamestop has my never let me down.

Annoying always being assaulted with buy this and buy that! Pressure from employees who approach you as soon as you step in the door to push sales! Personally hard not to be straight up rude and tell them to back off! Their USED games are only 5 dollars cheaper than the BRAND NEW copies but you can return them! They buy your used games if youre hard up enough to take their measly offerings! Will give you at the most $20.00 on average for a game that just came out and then turn around and sell it for $54.99!

The staff is mostly knowledgeable. I can usually get my questions answered relatively quickly. But admittedly, I mostly use the place as a point of research and then search the game Im looking for online to get a discount price. I have, in the past, done preorders on upcoming blockbuster game releases and theyve mostly gone without a hitch.

Sold us a burned copy of a game... Game glitches and freezes found out 3 months later it wasnt the real game!.. Said they wouldnt replace it with a legit copy and cant trade it in because its a copy. LOOK FOR THE SILVER XBOX LOGO HOLOGRAM AROUND THE CENTER OF THE DISC!..
