I went into this Ulta store on Thursday and planned on purchasing my usual foundation. I was approached by Tanchona. She asked me if I needed help. She was such a sweetheart and was very helpful. She introduced me to the brand new foundation from Bare Minerals, BarePro. I told her I like my foundation and I dont want to change it. She was very polite and extremely patient. She ask me to give her a chance to apply the new Bare Pro foundation on my face and I agreed. I was so pleased with the foundation. Tanchona picked-out a prefect shade for me. The foundation feels like velvet, pleasingly smooth to the touch. Great coverage, too! I am hooked on BarePro. Thank you Tanchona. I want to also mention the staff behind the counter was friendly and efficient in ringing-up my purchase. Thumbs up for this Ulta store.

This store stereotypically targets you for the clothes you are wearing or your appearance. They follow you into the store and pretend to be restocking shelves when theyre just making sure you dont "steal" anything. The service is terrible, just the other day I went in and looking for Anastasia brow wiz. I asked 2 employees for help on where in the store they were and neither of them bothered to just point. They arent friendly at all unless you go towards buying the expensive items as if they worked on commission. If Im buying a $2 lip liner theyll completely ignore me however if I go for tartes $30 pallette they love me. Terrible store.

Today is my birthday, so I went to the new store at Southshore in Alameda, to the beauty salon, I wanted to get a hair cut, since they do not have any signs specifying you need an appointment to get service and they do not take walk ins, But the problem was the attitude and rudeness I got from an employee of the beauty salon section, she even exposed me in front of other costumer that were there, I am very upset about this kind of response from them, she could at least be more polite, but instead she made it laud and clear how very nasty she was with me. She offended me deeply and made me feel exposed and very uncomfortable.

I went in today to look for several things and had a great experience. I spoke with several of the employees (3) and they all had great attitudes. One women in particular helped me the most which was Iris. I got help with exchanging eyebrow product, finding foundation, and looking over brushes (even though they knew i wasnt buying most of it today). I had alot of questions and was never rushed or brushed off. Shes awesome. If you need help I would recommend seeing her.

Came into pick up a foundation and left without speaking one word to the associates. I felt like they were only excited to help girls who buy $100+ in products. To top it all of my mom was accused of stealing a highlighter (from target) because the alarm turned on as we were walking out. Which is totally understandable but I showed them the sticker and they insisted we show them the receipt. I guess a target sticker isnt enough proof.

Was followed to my car by a security guard, I was made to go back into the store to have my bag searched. I was treated like a criminal for their mistake (a sensor wasnt removed), no apologies were given. So rude, absolutely humiliating. I will drive to Emeryville Sephora from now on. I will never give this company my money again, they are completely unprofessional.

When in a couple of months ago and loved the experience in both the salon and the store.Very friendly atmosphere.As soon as I walked in I was greeted with a smile and asked if I needed any help or had any questions.I also had my Hair cut and colored by Sabrina.I absolutely loved my hair cut and color.Thank you Sabrina you are very talented.
