I often visit this location. This is the 3rd time Ive visited this location and came home with an item that was out of date. I returned the sour cream I purchased this evening, and asked to speak w/ a manager. The "manager" that arrived was one, Andrew Cox. After informing him of my concern and advising that I knew Krogers expectations, as an ex employee, he became snide, brash, only offered an exchange for the product. This product was 21 days old. Had I fed it to my family, wed be in an emergency room right now. Andrew Cox threatened me, advised another employer to get my face on camera, was hostile in his speech and his excuse for this product being on the shelves this long was "because were doing an overhaul makeover of the store tomorrow". Thats irrelevant and unacceptable. I was warned, moving into this area, to avoid Polk street Kroger. But I chose to give it a shot. However, after this experience, Ill never return. The prices are too high, the quality is not worth the drive and if management cant respect the custsomers, they might as well save their money and close up shop.

This is definitely the FAINCY Kroger in town. By far the best bakery, gourmet cheese and deli-hot food selections of any of the citys other locations. Their "Oops We Baked Too Much" rack and mark-down shelves are unmatched. Four gourmet cannolis for like $2.50? You already know. Big ole cupcake of sin thats usually like $7 marked down to like 3? Affirmative. Nice crusty rolls you can cut in half and make the same sandwich you usually do but you feel upscale because them joints are usually $6.00 a bag? YesSUH. I like this place.

MARYAM in the bakery to the RESCUE. She is the sweetest person, who absolutely made my DAY. She helped me with a dilemma, and was a stand up employee, making Kroger feel like a true neighborhood grocer/bakery. Next time I need a cake, or any other baking need, I am going straight to her or their bakery. Thank you thank you thank you!

Great selections if you can find them from one week to the next. Too much Mexican produce. Prepackaged foreign meats. Good regular butcher and fresh seafood. Too corporate and not enough local input. The couldnt turn off the heater on a warm day because corporate in another state had the controls. Stupid!!!!!!!

This has always been one of the better Krogers is town. Its always really clean and big selection of gourmet foods. They are doing some remodeling currently so it can be hard to find some items.
