My husband was told by two security rent a cops here that he had to lock his gun up in our car and that he wasnt allowed to carry it on his side! For one my husband is a law abiding arizona resident who works part time as an armed bodyguard and these morons think that my husband is going to go lock up his gun in our car when he was working and had his client with him well tempe marketplace they left and his client took his buisness elsewhere and he ended up spending $40,000 elsewhere due to your rent a cops wouldnt allow him to do his job and the part that made it even more stupid was none of the buisnesses where my husband and his client went had no problem with my husband having his gun on his side especially when his client was spending a lot of money in there buisnesses! Get with the program tempe marketplace just because you concider your property a private property arizona is a right to carry state and some of us who carry are law abiding citizens who spend lots of money and like the Reinsurance that no one will mug us cause your moron rent a cops are not good enough thats why ppl hire ppl like my husband to provide them protection! My husband will no longer be bringing his clients there until you guys decide to get with the program and let ppl like my husband do there jobs!! Tempe marketplace would rather violate state law and deny his legal right to carry and conceal his gun because appairently they think they can pick and choose what state laws apply to them and refuse to let him do his job when my husband is working well so be it me personally i would avoid this place they will violate your rights and obviosly do not care about there customers my oppionion is they are morons we will not ever return to this dump again!!

Good place to shop . Only thing i dislike is parking. The parking lot is ALWAYS horribly over packed with people and cars, and the way the lot is laid out is ridiculous. Its like a maze to find your exits. The layout of stores vs. parking makes no sense. Large chain stores like target, ulta, and ross have their own parking lots that are aling the outskirts of lot, and relatively easy to get in & out of. But stores like Victorias secret and H&M which are smaller stores, set along the inside of "walking" part of mall, have no easy access for quick in & out shopping. Have to park at one end or the other and walk to middle. Kind of a hassle if looking for a few things with limited time. On the other hand, very nice if you are using public transportation, and taking the bus. Big bus terminal in middle of parking lot, access to all stores.

the parking and interior street design is unbelieveably dysfunctional and actually dangerous, all blind corners and confusing stops and crossings. i have seen many accidents close calls horns honking tires screeching. the architecture is awful, the art design is insane (fire cages?, cheap glass glued to concrete?, that music stage / acoustic atrocity with a colossal tv behind it playing commercials? im sorry the whole thing is a mess. i watched them build it and i was really excited about the whole concept, but now, not. It is a good place to go for a walk in the morning when you need shade, and there is an awesome sidewalk path that runs along the north of the mall and continues beside the rio salado nature area, connects to mesa riverview mall.

Everything in one place - whether I need perfume or salon quality beauty products from Ulta, restocking my home with toiletries and cleaning supplies from Target, thee experts at BevMo &/or Total Wine are finding me a top-shelf bottle for a gift, were at PetSmart picking out the newest addition to our familys, equipping my college bound cousin with her first computer/home office set- up at Best Buy, being the 1st to see a new movie by going to the midnighr showing Harkins offers, stopped for gas at Dannys but get a car wash too cause they always make my car look new again, or utilize the transportation hub to connect the Orbit to the 81 South theres not a category of goods not covered at Tempe Marketplace.

This mall is pretty awesome its an outdoor mall though which in Phoenix seems like a bad idea but they turned it into a good thing with having a ton of misters and everything there to help cool you down while you shop and or Meander around and enjoy the sights they have a really cool outdoor stage area where people will go and they will put on a show or sometimes Ill even rent it out for like name brand bands to do a show which is really awesome theres a Dave & Busters there and theres a Harkins Theater there and the Harkins theater has a Cine Capri which is awesome if youve never seen a sin Capri before in Harkins you should look at this one or the one at Scottsdale and the 101 both are super awesome

I really like Tempe Marketplace, but its overstimulating for me - I leave feeling tired and a little bit zoned out. When I say this, I think its the massive sea of cars and the traffic inside the shopping center. To me its like an outdoor mall merged with a couple large strip malls. Those are my negatives and why I wouldnt give Tempe Marketplace the full 5 stars. That said, the Barnes & Noble is one of my favorites in the area; I love that they have a Penzeys, World Market, Michaels and Nordstrom Rack. Its a great place to catch a movie as well. Definitely worth a visit if you have some serious shopping to do, want to catch a movie or if Dave and Busters is your thing.

Tempe marketplace is packed with people, cars & busses. Im only giving it 4 stars because i feel the entrance, exit, parking lots and the shopping centers roads that connect all of these just wasnt planned out right. The roads weave and make hard turns. Its easy to get turned around if your not paying attention. It creates a problem when there are so many cars, people on skateboards and bikes, people rushing to get on the bus. Basically people everywhere, all the time. Although I like going to Ross, Michaels and World Market, which are all side by side, Id rather not deal with the cluster $#%€ of getting in and out of the shopping center.

My review of Tempe MarketPlace: With the exception of not being able to easily leave this place once you get it, has done things right. All the shops are walkable and safe for pedestrian traffic. Music is played every where, the parking lot, the shopping strip, it gives an exciting feeling. Everything about it makes you want to stay longer. Book stores, craft stores, pet stores, discount clothing stores, shoe stores, sports stores, theaters, lots of food choices, and more. There is an island of shops that provide a hangout environment around fire pits, waterfalls, splash pads, to relax and visit at leisure with friends.
