Its hard to not provide a five star review. this is my review & why: Paradise Valley Mall is almost an icon. Only about 40/45 years ago it was a place that was in the middle of the desert where people had picnics, rode dirt bikes and campfires. It has good roots. Unfortunately the inside although Beautiful has similar loosely followed guidelines on what types of stores or shops are allowed. It reminds me a little bit of how Metro Center was similar and progressively seemed to spiral downhill to become a place only to be torn down. Many of the very good stores really have nice inventory/products/prices but the employees well if you questioning why they are there. I have asked several employees in several different stores for help locating shirts shoes etc. Only to be told with great sincerity that they had no idea I would have to just look around. Its important to point out that there are numerous stores that have excellent help and five star associates that are willing to search high and low for whatever merchandise you are looking for. The actual parking lot where you park your vehicle is very nice and smooth although there is a circular Parkway on the mall property that goes all the way around and you have to be careful of the potholes. Some of the greatest attractions in my opinion at Paradise Valley Mall are the mainstays like Dillards, Picture show (A family run theater), The little Asian massage service directly across from Starbucks (incredible deep muscle massage for an amazingly low price), and I handful of other small shops that somehow have preserved great service and lots of choices. All in all it would be unfair not to point out that brick-and-mortar retail is probably soon to be replaced by home delivery from Internet purchasing.

Came back to the valley after being away for 6 years. One of my first stops was the PV Mall. Throughout the 90s and until I left this place was busy even on the weekdays. Great stores and selection. Fast forward to last Wednesday around 200 pm: dead. The most traffic I saw was people inside the "anchor" stores like Dillards and JC Penney (Sears was also surprisingly busy). Was disappointed with the amount of empty storefronts and "second hand" stores with poor handmade signage. Food court was depressing. Despite my critiques this is still a well kept mall. Ive always liked this shopping center because it is NOT Scottsdale Fashion Square and it had good known affordable shops and restaurants. I also like it because its INDOORS. This is after all Arizona. I know the trend is to either tear down malls or convert them to outdoors but please dont do it. I (and Im guessing others) prefer not to sweat profusely while shopping. To current management: please bring in new stores or attract upscale ones like Aldo, and the poster/frame place back. Figure out your niche clientele and cater to them/us. Please update the layout so there is more "flow". Be a continuing part of the community all of the time; not just for special events or holidays. Dont give up. Id rather shop here then at Scottsdale, Kierland, Biltmore, or online at Amazon.

Reading some of the other reviews on here on how some have mentioned it being dirty??? Hardly the case at all...now if you go to metro mall now thats a whole different story. Plus they have far less stores compared to PV Mall for another matter. Plus with the new Walmart moving next door to metro mall that place is more destined to lose business then PV Mall sadly. So some of the reviews on here I dont know why you feel the way you do about PV Mall but last time I was here there was more stores and activities then even last year I was around this place has gotten better. Think your overlooking the possibilities here. The only bad thing I have to say about PV Mall is the arcade room whatever you do dont go in there not worth it claw master does not take care of this place literally anymore. Tried to call for refund on one of the machines no one ever reached me back. Literally almost everything in there is broken. Want a good arcade? Go to Castles And Coasters for arcade they have loads of old classics and new games plus lots of prizes to win. Plus co op games to play with friends and couples like the Jurassic Park game or Flappy Bird. PV Mall is fine its not dirty its not in business decline or anything its got more people here then metro mall. This mall is more worth it in the long run.

Paradise Valley Mall has been our go-to place since I was in high school. For awhile, it was going down hill esthetically with too many empty shops. Its had a nice "face lift" in recent years and has regained much of its splendor. The best places in this mall are definitely "Chompies" restaurant and "Picture Show of Paradise Valley". The food at Chompies was also a hit back in high school.(a long time ago unfortunately). New York style deli, but so, so much more. The movie theater is less expensive than AMC or Harkins and so much nicer. Reclining leather seats in stadium style seating. Excellent audio and screen quality. Its a bit of a ghost town, so I worry about it staying in business. Check it out! $1.00 all beef hot dogs are fantastic and they also carry the regular concessions favorites. The manager "Joy" is what really makes it awesome. Great at what she does and always greets us by name. A lost art in this day. Thank you for being a stand out! Were loyal customers and will stay that way!

The P.V. mall has an excellent, very large indoor play area for young kids near the JC Penny store. It is in the shape of a giant circle, ringed by comfy seats for the parents. There are so many really great things to climb on, under, over and around - colorful animal sculptures, etc. and everything within this space is kid friendly! But thats not all... There is also a whole bunch of rides (that cost about 50 cents [+/-] per ride) scattered around the food court area along with a full blown, actual carousel - just like you would see at an amusement park! My grandson (3) expended a huge amount of energy at this mall and had an absolute blast. When we were there, there was also a train big enough for adults and kids that ran through the mall, but Im not sure if it is still running. It is a fantastic place to take the little ones and can be totally free if you bring your own snacks and drinks and stick with the free attractions.

This is a decent mall. It has all your staple mall stores, JcPenny, Dillards, Macys, Victoria Secret, Bath and Body Works, etc. It has a lot of little niche shops that seem to constantly close down. Its a great place to visit for indoor fun for the kids in the summer. It has a nice large indoor playground that is clean with a large family bathroom area near by, as well as private nursing rooms. There is a train ride near the playground that charges $3 per person and a carousel near the food court. There is indoor jumping attractions, mini golf, giant chess set, and other various kiosk attractions that pop up over the year. The food court has a quarter kiddie ride play area and an arcade. Their is a small movie theater that is newer, clean and cheaper than other area theaters. Its overall a great mall, but if your mission is shopping designer stores this is not your mall.
