As a surprise for my birthday, We flew in from Denver, Colorado on October 18th to get our 2007 Subaru STI. We asked for honesty up front about the condition of the car because we paid a TON of money to travel and give them our business. The Cobb access port had been removed that tuned the car, and had been running at 26lbs of boost! The most an STI should ever be run at is 17!! The paint job was horrible, on our test drive we had to hook hoses up ourselves that were dangling in the car, and after limping it all the way home to Colorado, we took it to a subaru specialist who told us it has a rod knock, = motor is toast. We paid $21,500 for this?!! He knew we came with a cashiers check and took advantage of that by refusing to come down on price. Because we trusted him, we got screwed over. He offered to give us a $4,000 loss to give it back but that was it. They sold us an abused car. A/C doesnt work, radio and cruise control dont even work! Thankfully we made it home safely, and now we have to pay thousands more for a nearly new car to be repaired. This is "quality" we would expect from private party, NOT a dealership that we flew hundreds of miles to and paid thousands in cash!! I guess thats how he runs his business. Happy birthday to me. Dont buy from this dishonest business.
