My husband has been going to space age for years and I occasionally go with him . Up until a few weeks ago my experience with this store and its employees had been really good . A few weeks ago my husband asked me to go and buy some fasteners and miscellaneous screws . When I got there there was one employee helping people with bolts . I dont know if the employee was new but he seemed to have a hard time finding things . I could hear people laughing and giggling in the back but no one came to help him. He eventually got around to helping me and he did find all but one of the fasteners I was looking for so I asked if he could get someone else to double check because my husband had bought them there before . He went and got the manager on duty that night . As soon as they came out the manager seemed like she was bothered by me . I told her that me and the employee had checked the book but couldnt find it and asked if she could double check . She aggressively said "if he checked already then we dont have it , Ive been here 8 years and never seen anything like it ". And told me to go to Impala bobs to look for it . Then she quickly went to the back with the another employee and continued to laugh and giggle . She was rude and unprofessional, I felt more like a burden than a customer . I would not be so mad but my husband went in the next morning and Jeff helped him out and as soon as my husband showed him the fastener Jeff said we have it and went and grabbed it off the shelf . If she spent more time helping customer instead of flirting and giggling with the other employees then maybe customers would be taken care of . I work in retail and I would never treat a customer that way and I myself have never been treated that way in any other store Ive been to. Worst experience ever !!

This was my third attempt at getting paint mixed for a single part on a 40 year old car. Every time I ask for someone with some experience, I get the reply (even when there are 5 other employees standing around) sorry Im the only person here. I am told they match paint by trial and error. That means if it does not match, I have to drive 20 miles each way for someone to try again. Then they have the nerve to say, well you can blend it in. That means I will not only have to paint the hood but both fenders, leading edge trim on the fenders, the leading edge trim on the hood, and both hood scoops. Then there is hours needed to buff it out. Why, "We dont have a computer to scan the paint sample.". This means they would rather keep several employees in the paint department to continue to match print by trial, and have customers return several times to get it right. With a computer they could scan a sample and get the color (except for extreme non commercial colors) right 99% of the time. This would save the company tens of thousands of dollars each year and save customers many hours and gas to drive back and forth. This only benefits people that are paid hourly and pass the extra cost on to the customer. Computers for matching automotive paint have been available since the early 80s and now are state of the art. Before moving out here from Illinois, I have had paint matched several times and only once did the paint need to be tweaked. I am going to take my business to a shop where I wont get a 20 mile each way runaround, but perfect paint on the first visit!

To Mrs. Misty, I wanted to personally apologize about this. Whatever had happened on that night was uncalled for. There is no reason to have been aggressive toward you. You are our customer and we are here to assist you in any way possible, for any amount of time, with any problem. We strive to help our employees who are unaware of certain things in the store, and have it be a pleasurable experience for you. You should not have left the store feeling like a burden. Giggling and fooling around is not a professional way to behave, as you stated. I am very sorry you had this experience. Thank you for writing this review and bringing it to my attention. Reviews let us know the positives and negatives as workers, as well as a store, so we can aim towards a positive experience for everyone who comes in. Please, do not be hesitant to give us any more detail about this. You may review, call, or email us. Whichever makes you comfortable. Thank you and my deepest apologies again. Cassie

Unfortunately, I have a very poor quality finish due to the inexperience of the sales people in the store and the so-called helpful painting tips, offered on their sheets that they pass out. Each coat of paint should be sanded. As it is, I have an orange peel look on my final finish, as the jerk in the store said not to sand the final base coat before applying the clear coat. So a miracle should have occurred, but it didnt. Do not listen to those people in the store or follow their painting instruction sheet. It seems obvious to me now that my own thoughts on how this should have been done, could not have made this finish any worse that it is now. After spending hundreds of dollars, over a week of time in the labor of sanding and applying the primer coat, I ended up finishing the job with an example of how NOT TO PAINT a vehicle, by following their salespeople and their own tip sheets.

Im disgusted by this dirty nasty place!!!!!! i came for a clip because my friend said it was good what a bold faced lie!!!!!!! my first impression was HOLY COW THIS PLACE IS DIRTY AS HECK. my daughter has asthma and could barely breathe it smelled so bad. and then the sales person RYAN helped me and basically assaulted my teenaged daughter with his eyes. he focused on her chest rather than helping me. she is a CHILD!!!!! then when i went to use the restroom i saw a couple in there kissing and grabbing each other they had aprons on. HOW UNPROFESSIONAL. when i was gone RYAN asked my daughter out. she told him she was in high school and he smiled and said so??? i cant believe this he should ne in jail. DO NOT BRING YOUR DAUGHTERS HERE OR ANY KIDS THEY WILL SEE NASTY THINGS!

This is a perfect place to go to if you broke a plastic clip for your door panels after putting in new speakers. Had to replace bumper cover and fender on a car of ours due to an accident and they had all the clips, nuts, and bolts that were used from the factory for reasonable prices. They were able to mix up my factory paint and put it into aerosol cans so that I could paint the bumper and fender without having to take it to a shop. Place is like a museum with all the items they have on the walls and throughout the store. My kids love the full-size airplane on the ceiling and the various engines they have displayed from planes and tanks.

This place is amazing!! The $5.59 door panel plastic trim clip from the dealer is .89 cents here. Its worth the drive!! The guys at the counter can find you the most obscure body clip even if its broken and you only have half of it!! Double Sided tape, trim, custom paint is everywhere and paint!!. I was sad they were all out of the blue soft plastic free keychains today but seriously, if its small, plastic and holds something onto your car, they will have it!!
