I used to shop at this convenience store frequently; they had great sub sandwiches and pizza, and the owner and clerks were friendly. Not anymore. I went in for a soda refill and a few other items the other day, and the female clerk confronted me immediately when I walked in. She hollered at me in a condescending tone, "What are you going to do with that big jug?" I told her I was getting a refill. She informed me that they didnt give soda away for free (I didnt think so; I planned on paying for my 52 ounces.), and when I looked at her incredulously, telling her that a Chevron station that I go to sells them for 55 cents, she told me to go there. Which I will from now on. Its not even the money that made me angry. I have paid up to $1.50 for a refill. It was the rudeness before I even bought anything, which, by the way, I had planned on buying some beef jerky and other things. So, she lost my business permanently. I guess whomever owns the place now has no business sense, which is why the store has gone downhill. Its inventory is poor, for one thing. And anyone with common sense can understand that you entice people into your store with some great deal - like reasonably priced refills - and then they will often spend more at your franchise. Perhaps the business isnt meant to be a success for the "legal" customers . . .

They have creamer, powdered and liquid...they have coffee filters...they however do not actually sell coffee, the kind you take home and make yourself, when I pointed this out to the cashier, her response was "I dont do the ordering" ....i only actually walked there this day with my son because it is beautiful outside and they are so close...but unlike "convenience" stores I have been to before, they werent convenient.

The store is quiet and appears to have light foot traffic. What I can say is if youre in the neighborhood and have a craving for some home cooked cajun food. Make a pit stop here and grab yourself a shrimp po boy. Its god damn good and very reasonably priced. The new renters of the in-store restaurant are Louisiana natives and down home good people. Give them and their menu a try. I promise you wont be disappointed.

We have lived in the neighborhood behind the store for over 8 years n the new owner has made so many improvements. Its cleaner n smells better. And everything is fresh. The best its ever been. The people are so welcoming n helpful. Its no longer a bodega..
