Monday 8/8/16 Today Saturday 8/14. Thanks to manager Preston for getting me back on the road safely and for being so honest! I had traveled from MI to AZ when I noticed low air pressure in one tire on my new 2016 Silverado truck. I pulled into a GM dealership and was told the tire could not be repaired due to the position of the screw lodged in bottom/side of the tire. They did not have my tire in stock and suggested I go to Discount Tire in Anthem. By the time I reached Anthem my rear passenger tire read 16 pounds. The store was crazy, crazy busy when I arrived 10 minutes before closing. The manager Preston asked if I could come back tomorrow and I said I had an 8:00 appointment in Scottsdale. He said it would be a wait. Meantime a lovely lady with her two children were called up to the desk by Preston. Although the lady did not master the English language I observed Preston carefully explaining everything to her until he was sure she understood the problem to convey to her husband. Preston was also kind and patient with her children, who were getting bored and restless. Preston took the time to ask their names and grade etc. He then went to each waiting customer and apologized for the wait. Now it is 6:15 and a young lady from Prescott knocked on the locked door and explained her problem (similar to mine); but she had an appt in Anthem at 7:00. Preston let her in and assured her he would fix her up and she would be on time. Again thanking the rest of us for our patience. His workers never looked upset with the room of customers, knowing they probably would not be getting off work on time. Preston never looked or acted stressed out, instead remained calm and very efficiently took care of each of the four people in the waiting room. Two of the customers were from Anthem as regular customers. They both had wonderful things to say about Preston, his crew, workmanship and products. I commented that it comes from the top down. When theres good management, employee s model that behavior. Well in the end my tire was fixed! I asked if I needed a new one and Preston said No, its as good and safe as new. Today, five days later the tire has not lost a single pound of air. Preston did not charge me anything, but treated me (and everyone) like we were buying a set of very expensive tires. He did not charge the Prescott lady either. But rest assured, we will come back when we need tires. Anthem Discount Tire store will be the one and only that I go to. I plan to recommend the store to everyone. Thanks for reading my long review. I got carried away due to my satisfaction with this store and the manager.

I have been going to Discount Tire for years (not this particular location). My boyfriend went in because his tire monitor kept saying his tires were low on a car he bought used (Honda Crosstour). 1. He needed new lug nuts since when he bought the car used and the key was not provided. He asked for non-locking lug nuts since the rims are nothing special (discussed this in detail) - when he went to pick up the vehicle, it had new locking lugs on it (of course, more expensive). They then said they didnt realize that is what he wanted and it would take more time to order different lugs, etc. 2. One of the tires needed a new stem - they said it could not be repaired and he needed a new tire (the tire still has lots of tread on it). My boyfriend wanted to shop further, and asked them to replace his tire. They refused, saying it was dangerous for him to drive on it. They put the temporary tire on (small donut that should never go over 50 MPH). Why is that more safe, especially considering we live off a freeway and it is dangerous to drive freeway speed on the tire??? He had been adding air for a few weeks off and on and had been keeping up the tire pressure - it was performing fine. They just wanted him to buy a new tire. I had an appointment that same day to buy 4 new tires for my 4 Runner. I cancelled. I will not go back. My boyfriend will put back on the old tire himself, and if he decides to buy new tires will go somewhere else. I have been going to Discount for well over 20 years. I am very sad that their priorities have changed to sell tires and not provide the quality service I was used to. Update 7/18/14 The manager Jeff contacted us and offered a refund on the difference in the lug nuts, and also went out of his way to make things right. The follow up experience was absolutely terrific. I am glad to say that I will still use Discount Tire!

I had 4 rims to be installed on my truck, the tires were installed on the rims, but the tires were not rotated properly. Only one of the four tires were on the correct position. They charged 100.00 for the installation, then I had to return to have the other three tires properly rotated. I was smart to label the tires prior to the bone heads doing the tire change. I also noticed that I had some things missing from the truck later, but cannot prove this happened there at either visit. I will never have these bone heads work on my vehicle, they cant even rotate tires properly....

Amazing service by this team! My tire blew on my way to Phoenix just outside the Anthem exit and I was so grateful to be able to make it safely off the road. After a quick stop at Tobias Automotive, they directed me to Discount Tire where I was in & out with two new tires JUST in time to make my flight out! They turned a stressful day into a pleasant adventure. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!

Ernie is the best, Steven initially helped me and got the process started rather quickly. Ernie educated me on my tire options and together we chose a great tire. Driving out with a brand new set of tire and I couldnt be happier. The service was excellent and now I can drive with confidence. They took great care of my Audi and Ill continue to come back whenever I need tire service!

Every time I am in here to fix a tire they insist I need new ones, even when there is plenty of tread. My wife came in by herself and bought 2 new tires instead of 4 (as they insisted). They were supposed to balance them but they didnt so she had to go back in. The next time in they convinced her to buy 2 more. Dont visit this place unless you want to get ripped off.

They put the extended warranty on without asking me. Made it sound mandatory. However, that saved me, as I ran over something metal in the road one week later. Replaced my tire for free. Best $18 I ever spent. Friendly employees. They do try to upsell you, but I feel they are honest about the options, if you ask.

When they tell you that in a front wheel drive car the best tires should be in the back!!!..DO NOT BELIEVE THEM... IN A FRONT WHEEL DRIVE CAR THE BEST TIRES SHOULD ALWAYS BE IN THE FRONT!!..I dont think its there fault...thats what they tell them at training to say to customers.
