THIS place doesnt seem to be discrinating toward any females Credit Worthiness - My credit is great & I have all my ducks in a row, ready to buy a vehicle. After getting a text from a sales rep after looking online for the right car at the price I wanted to spend. I texted a copy of the online deal I found and asked if they had anything with the same criteria. Of course they had "MANY" in my criteria range. Besides the original sales person not being where he said he was going to be & when we had scheduled to meet... I was met by another sales person who said that he could show me all the vehicles they had that met my criteria. After looking through all three lots, not one was what I was interested in and he tried to get me to "buy what I seemed most interested in and that hed work to bring prices to my allotted spending amount". There was no vehicle I was interested in, but he had to somehow get me something. I asked about one I wasnt thrilled about and if he could work it into my budget instead since it was so close. He said he had plenty of "wiggle room" which turned into "No Wiggle Room" by the end of him dragging me all over kingdom come to find NO vehicle that I was remotely interested in buying. I was so completely tired of being lied to for the two hour tour meeting everyone who worked there and continually told I was unrealistic in my criteria (which came straight from Kelly Blue Book online). At one point even being told that my online searching was fraudulent and if I believed all I read online I was never going to get a good deal anywhere, but instead I would deserve whatever I bought because if it seemed like it was "too good to be true - it probably was too good to be true". My thinking "that saying is a perfect selling pitch to say that they didnt have anything in stock that fit my criteria and they wanted to get me onto their lot to push a bigger sale product that I didnt want"! All that being said, they not only cost me much precious time, but also will never get business from me or others I plan to inform. My plan is to make sure that my time was well spent by spreading the word of this long drawn out process that would probably make a good book some day ;-) Staying real ~ please think twice about their deceptive practices. (the car I thought was a possibility turned out to have 3 safety recalls and more than a half dozen issues that wouldn’t normally be found on most any car costing about $14,000.00. I know that no car would be perfect, but to gouge consumers because of wanting a higher commission is not good business). ~~~ Google user from 2 years ago is spot on Correct, buyer Be WARE! They havent change their sale trends.

I found this place on Google, told them I wanted to spend no more than $7,000 with a monthly payment of $300. I drove 45 mins. in the snow after I was told that there would be "multiple options" and there would "definitely be a loan for you". The original phone call took over 30 minutes. Im a female, so I reiterated that I wouldnt be willing to pay more than $7000 or more than a cars actual value, in case he was thinking I would be a sucker. He said no, there would definitely be cheaper options. After sitting there for an HOUR while the guy made copies of my bank statements (not an exaggeration, he was looking for pages that I hadnt included because there was no information on them, just directions on how to balance an account) and then I talked to a finance guy for about 20 minutes, I was finally told that there were 3 vehicles that I would qualify for. One was a truck (Id told them I wanted a 4 door because I have kids), one was over $10,000 and the third one (the only one that was in my price range) was missing. They couldnt find it. We drove around for 45 mins. looking for the thing and they couldnt locate it. I now believe it never existed. They were just trying to get me to give up and give in to looking at the more expensive vehicles. In the meantime, I looked the missing car up on CL and found over 10 of the same make/model within the same mileage range and the same exact year at dealerships for under $4,500. They wanted $7,000. The salesman couldnt believe that I wasnt so grateful to get financing at all that I wasnt jumping at the chance to buy a newer car for $15,000+. He said hed never had customers who werent willing to pay a "little more" for something newer with less miles. I guess he didnt believe me when Id told him I had a budget in mind. I wasnt even rude to him, but he kept saying how he was trying to "help me out" and he couldnt understand why I wasnt like everyone else hed dealt with, who didnt care about the price of the car. They were just so happy to get financing with bad credit that they didnt even care about the crazy inflated price and 25% interest rate. Not to mention the $1300 warranty they forced you to buy, which they got 25% interest for too. I left, disgusted, without seeing ONE CAR in my price range. I would recommend you stay away from this place. They take advantage of people with bad credit, selling them cars with crazy inflated prices and expensive required warranties and they get away with it because the people are desperate for transportation. It should be illegal!

Cannot emphasize enough what a fantastic used car buying experience we had recently. All of the staff was wonderful, but want to draw attention to a few we dealt with intimately. First there was Craig (salesman). He was so human and personable - not that overkill "salesy" type that makes you want to run in the other direction. When he was in the car for our test drive, it made us feel like we were driving around with an old friend. That was really important to us. He also followed up with us after the sale, which was a pleasant surprise. One of our conditions was that we wouldnt purchase unless OUR mechanic could do a full inspection. This vehicle was $5999 and we were aware that Mullinax could refuse our request. But that is when Grant stepped in. We got to go through the whole car buying experience, with the final sale contingent on our mechanics approval. We were so impressed that they allowed us to do this. Our mechanics inspection only turned up one issue - needed a bit of suspension work. Enter Jeremy and Sano....amazing Mullinax Ford employees. They immediately got on it and scheduled us an appointment at Quick Lane (other Mullinax Ford location, posting a separate review over there) to cover these repairs, free of charge. They both also helped us so much with our trickier, out of state title/registration woes (we are from Montana). They stood by our side until they heard everything was fixed to our satisfaction. We didnt purchase an expensive used car, but we were treated like royalty from start to finish, as if wed purchased a $30K beauty on the lot. This meant a lot to us. We were put first, from start to finish - and followed until the minute we said everything is good to go. Thanks Craig, Grant, Jeremy, Sano and everyone else at Mullinax Ford. You made buying a used car as exciting as buying a new car would have been - we left the lot feeling safe and protected. Keep up the good work! Jim and Robin
