Worst customer experience of our lives! The first time we went, the sales guy told us within 15 minutes of our arrival that if we werent going to buy that day, he was going to help other people in the lobby that were ready to buy. This was after only sitting in one car and still having many questions to be answered before making a buying decision. We had already told him that we could buy that day if we found the right car, but he either misunderstood or blatantly disregarded our position. So we left. Still really wanting to buy a Passat, we reluctantly went back to the dealership, 2 kids in tow, in the rain. We stood in the empty lobby for 10 minutes before anyone came out of their offices to greet us. The manager came over and said he was working on getting someone to help us and we shared that we didnt want to work with the gentleman that we had had the poor experience with. He said hed try to find someone else to help us. While he was doing that, the first sales guy showed up to "apologize" by telling us that he never said that thus making us feel like he was calling us liars. Feeling offended again, by the same person, we stood waiting for another 10 minutes and finally decided to leave. The manager approached us as we were getting in our car and said we had to understand that they close at 5pm and we had arrived at 4:40pm and he was working on getting someone to help us. He said most of his guys had gone home for the day. Well, not our fault. We were customers standing there waiting to be helped, during store hours. At that point it was just too late. We were obviously there to purchase (who drags their kids out in the rain on a precious weekend to look at cars for fun?) and there didnt seem to be any urgency for someone to help us. Instead of offering to help us himself he left us waiting and waiting with zero confidence that our experience would be turned around. Very disappointing. Off to Savannah to buy a Passat!

A few days ago I purchased a 2014 VW Jetta SE at Hilton Head Volkswagen, after having done intense online research of all cars in its class and test driving the top 3 choices I had made. A lovely gal by the name of Sheila Dykes was the salesperson who served me. I can honestly say without a doubt that she offered me the most efficient, pressure free and enjoyable experience I have ever had when purchasing a vehicle! This young lady made sure that I got the deal that fit my budget and the car that worked best for me....and she did it while making me feel that she knew me all of my life! I even put her on hold to leave the dealership to test drive a competitive vehicle down the street....to which there was no comparison! I had recently had major spinal surgery and during our car buying process became very uncomfortable and asked if we could continue the same deal the next day. No problem! The same deal sat on the table for me to return at my own convenience. Sheila, your professional salesmanship, understanding, insight and kindness, not to mention patience, won me over. Sheila Dykes, YOU sold me that car!! Congratulations!! I offer good wishes and blessings to you on your on-going career in car sales.....Youre a WINNER!! Most Sincerely, Bonnie (Yvonne) Hill.

Just bought my car yesterday evening, and I cant express how impressed I am with this dealership. Being raised in a Toyota driving family, I wasnt really sure what to expect when walking into Volkswagen, but I went in apprehensive. My salesman, Mashal Ahmadi, was genuinely nice and he seemed to really care about making sure I got the best car for me--not the most expensive car they could get me to sign the paperwork for, but the car that fit my budget while giving me all the nice touches I wanted. I was going to sign into a car paying over $150 more per month above my price point, but both Mashal and his manager took the time to show me something more affordable (without my asking) that still gave me what I wanted. I know they make commission, so Im very grateful that they put honest service above getting as much money as possible. Plus, they stayed way past closing to go the extra mile, so I really cant say enough about the good experience. I will definitely be coming back here in the future for any car needs and recommending this dealership to my friends and family. Excited to be in my first Volkswagen and first car purchase, and thrilled they helped me finance it on my own! Thank you!!

Hilton Head Volkswagen: Extremely poor customer service. Sales representative Charles Marion raised his voice and actually argued with me when I informed him the vehicles tires were in need of immediate replacement, being bald and well beyond the minimum tread depth of 2/32. They refused to replace a filthy air filter, which they previously said had been replaced. The vehicle did not come with a spare tire, or a lug nut key to remove the wheels. I can not say enough what a horrible experience we endured from the salesmen at Hilton Head Volkswagen. From things as small as holding a door open and answering a phone call during the middle of our conversation, to raising his voice and arguing about tire tread depth. Sales representatives Charles Marion and Virgil Cordray lied to us multiple times and treated us as sub-par customers. Please avoid, or at least be aware of, the sales team at Hilton Head Volkswagen. P.S. Based on interactions with the sales team I suspect that they write their own Google reviews and rate themselves.

Very poor experience. Walked around the lot browsing new Audis on a beautiful Sunday for more than half an hour figuring someone would come say hello. After no one did, went up to showroom to be sure that they were open. One young man employee setting at a desk looking at a computer. Two other employees chatting in an office. One saw me but never got up. After spending at least fifteen minutes looking at the dusty showroom cars finally stuck my head into their office and asked if someone could help me. Asked about price on a car and the salesman flipped a copy of the sticker around and said "there it is". No one present could make a selling decision on an offered price. Left my number for a sales manager to call the next day but he never did. To make a long story short- most pathetic car shopping experience I have ever had. Ended up buying the same car from a Florida dealership (and even incurring extra travel expenses) because they acted like they wanted my business.

I purchased a new 2014 Jetta TDI last night from Hilton Head Volkswagen and let me tell you, what an absolutely stellar group of people. From the first call back after my inquiry on the internet thru the finalization of the sale, this group really knows how to get deals done. I told them what my situation was, what I was looking for and what I wanted to pay, and in two hours (sorry it took so long, that was my fault) with no back and forth negotiations with the management my wife and I drove off in our brand new Jetta TDI, with our payments exactly where we wanted them and not a dime more. I would like to thank everyone involved in the process, Jennifer, Eric, Mr. Khan, Ms. Turnice, (I am sure I missed a few others). If your in the market for a new set of wheels I highly recommend that you go and see my man Eric McBeth, and Mr. Khan, they will do everything they can to earn you business.
