BE CAREFUL, BAD REPAIR THAT CAN COST YOU MONEY AND HEALTH. Rude, unprofessional, not responsible, overpriced, the cheapest parts (might be used) and kinda racist. Had my flat tire replaced here, one week later it was the same flat, I couldnt come back earlier because of my busy schedule, so I decided to pump the tire every time I needed. I had ridden it only three times and every time the chain would fall off. I made a diagnostics because I used to fix the bikes before. I found out that the back wheel was installed too close to the frame making the chain loose. Also she didnt tighten the screw, causing the part on back wheel disconnect from the frame. I had to risk my health to stop the bike by my legs every time the chain went off. So I came back after a month, she met me as usual unwelcome, rude, indifferent. When explained everything, she said I have to pay for everything. She refused to take the responsibility saying that the bike was 100% ok when I left the store. I gave up and asked her to tighten up the chain by adjusting the back wheel to what she said "I am not doing anything for free". I asked her for the store policy, she just ignored me and left. I stayed there for like 20 minutes asking her to show me the store policy and license that should be displayed in front so customers can see it. She refused me and kept hiding in the back room. She said I could call cops, I did call them explained them the situation. When cops appeared in store she kept lying about the store policy and license, about piece of glass that she didnt show me. Police couldnt do anything except for the advice they gave to complain here. If you go there 1 Customers should see her job, every step she is doing, check the parts she is changing. Be there and make sure you see everything because every store have their own tricks. 2 keep the receipt you will need it for sure 3 make your own inspection check everything before you leave try it 4 ask for the warranty and guarantees before you buy or fix anything because nobody knows what kind of parts she use, they might not be new. If it is possible go find another place, you will save your time, money and will be safe.

This is the nearest bike shop from my job min for credit is $20 which is pretty high nonetheless I didnt mind since some spots dont accept it at all. The service was fair bit pricey. Since I simply had a flat she had the repairman take care of me. Its was $17.42 for a flat tire. Normally in most shop I go to, they would lubricate the chains as courtesy needed or not but not in this shop (not sure if you ask if they would though). I took a picture of the inside of the shop the lady that seemed to be in charge approached me and bluntly said "what are you doing" and I said Im taking a picture which she said youre not allowed too. She could have said it nicely and not approach me as if its a crime, I really had a bad vibe about her I think for the price she should be able to speak a lil nicer to people. Also theres a big dog that is clearly visible which she touched and came back to help me without washing her hands. What if Im allergic (that is not really my issue but for those price I had to consider that) and also the way she addressed the picture at this day and age with snap chat I think she could have really made her point across nicer and not even have such a rule think thats bad for business bc after she found out about the pic, my repairs werent done. I felt compelled to lie and tell her that I delete the picture bc I was afraid that she might short change me on service.

Horrible place. Stay away even if its emergency! I saw all the bad reviews from Google but still went because my Rear Derailleur was broken so I couldnt take it to another place and they were close to me. I went in and this lady "Margo" says that she needs to order the part and will call me back. I called her later today, she said it will take few days. I call in after 3 days, she says it will take few more days. After a week I call and she says she still doesnt have it. I had to wait for 2 weeks and I came in to the store. She said she still doesnt have the part. I took my bike to Roys bike shop; they replaced my broken rear derailleur, adjusted my bike, adjusted my calipers and installed a Topeak Explorer rack all in under an hour - thats service. Not to mention only charged me $30 for the rear derailleur. This shop wanted to charge me around $60 for the rear derailleur (that was only estimate) they would probably charge more. This Margo person at least could have setup my break calipers, but no! all she did the 3 times I was at the store was be at the counter and fold her hands. This is the first time I write negative review on anything on the web. and hopefully the last! Ridiculous place, stay away!

Ive been an avid cyclist for many years and Ive lived in many states. This place is the worst. Last summer I got a new bottom bracket with no real incident aside from the rude counter person. Shes about as friendly as a snapping turtle. No big deal I think, its within walking distance of my apartment. So I brought it back for a tune-up which they charge $65 for. I figured that was just the cost of NYC. I found out shortly after that the shop right by my work does tune-ups for $35, cables included. When I dropped it of I was told it would be ready Wednesday and they would call me only if it was going to be later or if it needed any more work. I went by on Thursday morning on the way to class only to be told it wouldnt be ready till Friday and they had done some brake work that would cost me an extra $15. Friday when I picked it up it had dog crap on the tires and the told me I would soon be needing a new bottom bracket because they "felt play" in the one I have now. The one that they put in only a few months ago. As of now my bottom bracket is shaky and the brake they worked on is catching the disc. I will never go in that place again as long as I live.

Was quoted $78 initially and told that I would receive the bike back on same day. However, received a phone call an hour later saying that it would be $100 and would receive the bike a week later, reason being that shop didnt have a part needed to fix the bike. This is completely understandable. However, since I needed the bike fixed on the same day, and shop owner reassured me that I would get it back on the same day (and I asked her twice), I went back into the shop to go pick up my bike. Shop owner would NOT give me my back bike, unless I paid $15 for a "labor fee." She tried charged me $15 for doing absolutely NOTHING on my bike. After reassuring me that I would receive the bike back on the same day and initially telling me it would cost $78. IF I knew that I wouldnt be getting my bike back on the same day, I would have taken my bike elsewhere. ALSO, IF i knew that it was going to cost $100 I would again, have taken my business elsewhere. DO NOT COME TO THIS SHOP. SHOP OWNER CHARGES CUSTOMERS MONEY FOR THEIR OWN MISTAKES. THEY GUARANTEE THINGS UPFRONT AND DOES NOT DELIVER AND CHARGES CUSTOMER FOR THEIR INCOMPETANCIES!!!!
