I placed an online order, for 7 items, with them 5 weeks ago. With the online order, the Madison Heights location was chosen as the pick-up point. One of the items was discontinued between when ordered and pick-up. This item was stocked at this location at the time of order. Upon pick-up it was found that the store saved their last part, the floor display. The display was damaged and missing parts. Many hours spent over multiple customer service calls the issue is still not resolved. The collection of the other 6 items was also handled poorly. A call-in notice was made a day in advance to have the items ready to collect. Arriving to pick-up, it was apparent that the items were not ready. This took the store closer to two hours to collect the parts. This lead to having extra time charged on the HomeDepot truck rental. Billing was also poorly done. Placed the order then, 24hrs later, half of the order was canceled by HomeDepot due to a processing error at one of their distribution centers. When reprocessing this, HomeDepot double charged the creditcard and the new total was more expensive than the original order. It took nearly 3hrs of customer service calls to prove the itemized receipt cost was greater than the original receipt......... Roughly 2/5 of the phone calls to this location are disconnected when transferred. This was my first online order with HomeDepot.... customer service told me that the next order will go better because this was my first time. This just adds to the aggravation as all the issues were created by HomeDepot....

By far one of the best Home Depots customer service wise. It is true that not all of the employees there are knowledgeable & that during certain times of the day it can be hard to find help however Home Depot does have a high turnover rate & they schedule associates according to business needs. Almost every employee will greet you and ask if you need any help. They have many products in stock for the best prices around for the quality of the product. Ive read many reviews that say you can go next door to Lowes and you will have employees surround you asking you if you need help. Theres a reason for that people, they have 6 cars in the parking lot & they are happy to see customers in their store for a change. Trust me youll be back to Home Depot in 10 minutes or under. If you have an issue with an employee ask to speak with a manager or call corporate, trust me, it will work. This whole writing negative reviews on google doesnt do anything.

Horrible customer service. 3 visits in 3 weeks to get fencing supplies. no one owns a box cutter or anything that will cut those bands to release the lumber. You ask they say they dont have anything to cut with. And if you do find someone they make sure you know they are not happy with helping you and that your bothering them. And i hear them walk around the store moaning "this is going to be a long day." The last visit i had to ask someone again to cut the bands so i can retrieve lumber while they were cutting the bands they asked how long i would be there cause they needed to close the aisle off for something. And the automated floor mopping machine guys - give it a rest you run that mopper 1000 x a day. The floor is not that dirty. Regardless of the customer service Ill still go there and bring my own box cutter and just not ask anyone for help. i know a lot more about home depot products than they do anyway.

They sold me a barbecue on a wednesday. I paid for it and they said they would assemble it for free and I can get it saturday.... And they would call me when it was done. I received a confirmation call almost immediately thanking me for my purchase and reconfirmed Saturday pick up. Saturday... Nothing. I called the store to inquire on status. Lady said she would check for me and call me back. No return call. Sunday at 10am I got to store. Either way I was going to be upset. Either it was assembled and they didnt call me, or I would have to take the box home and assemble it myself (which I could have done 5 days earlier). THEY INFORMED ME THEY DONT HAVE ANY IN STOCK!!!! I got my money back and left store, probably never to go back again. This isnt the first time Ive been mishandled by this store. HIGHLY recommend going to the LOWES which is right next door/across parking lot.

im scared, my sphincter is all tight when im scared. i walk into the depot because i know theyre coming. not the zombies. not the ghosts or monsters or none of that garbage. im talkin about the family. more specifically the mother-in-laws. i walk in here looking to buy some cleaning agent, vacuum bags, shovels, sledgehammers, and bear repellent. i hoped that would be enough to hold them off. the service was ok and the shovel was expensive but no price is too high when im trying to hold back the in-laws if you know what i mean. if you are still confused by what i mean; i am going to kill and bury them in my back yard. happy hunting!

Worst in customer service! Store usually has what I need in stock, but if you need assistance with anything you are probably out of luck. Went there yesterday to purchase cable by the foot. Only associate in that area was telling another customer where to "try looking" for something elsewhere in the store. I stood there and patiently waited 5 - 10 minutes for them to finish. When they did, rather than ask what I needed the associate turned away and high-tailed in the opposite direction! I left the 20 of cable I had already measured out laying there and left to go make my purchase at Ace instead (where they have actual service).

I do not care for shopping at the Home Depot in general. They always have impulse items cluttering the main aisles that shoppers have to navigate, typically with large flat carts, to avoid running into one another. Additionally, during my most recent visit to buy a fan that was priced lower than other stores, there was a woman parading her dog around. This was not a Leader Dog or working dog, it was, I presume, a "therapy" dog, which is utter nonsense in my opinion, used to attract attention, and should not be allowed inside a public serving store. I prefer to shop elsewhere but can tolerate HD to get a better price.

Never buying from there again!!!! Cancelled an appliance order and they are giving me the hardest time with a return. Talked to several managers and the corporate hotline and all they do is give me the run around... Now I have to wait for the "case" to be resolved by Customer Care. The problem is that the manufacturer told them that they have the appliance and yet Home Depot says that they can not process my refund yet and it may take a couple of day. Which in turn means that the money will not be back in my account until next week. When I already waited a week after I cancelled the order. GO TO LOWES!!!!

Whatever you do, DONT order carpet here. Told them we wanted a glue-down on a sunporch, chose the loop carpet, and they sent someone out to measure and charged $35. Oops, turns out they wont warranty the carpet if its glued, only if you spend another $100 on pad. And Oops! The installer wont warranty their work either unless we let them pull off the (freshly painted) molding! Like you cant install carpet against molding. And did they mention the $35 was non-refundable? Course not. So basically, they do such crappy work nobody wants to warranty anything. Stay away.
