I setup a contract with EZ Own, and the 1st vehicle they sold me 2004 Chevy Suburban LT which had issues with the engine and transmission. This was not disclosed at contract signing. After 1 day the engine light came on and the engine started knocking and the vehicle failed to accelerate at a reasonable speed. Therefore, in my opinion it was purposely not disclosed. I was highly dissatisfied, I contacted Laura Smith with EZ Own. At the time Ms Smith was a sales representative working at the Mesa location. They allowed me to switch cars and I did. Thinking I wouldnt have another problem with the next vehicle. The next vehicle I received from EZ Own was a 2007 Buick Lucerne. Upon, immediate starting of the vehicle I noticed several warning lights were on. I asked the sales rep about this they stated that it would go off when the computer was reset. I had the computer reset and it was still there!! I brought this to the attention of the sales rep they said they are not responsible for normal wear and tear. So they sold me a vehicle which was displaying an error code for a damaged sensor on the right side front wheel. I asked a outside mechanic to look at the vehicle due to vibrations. The mechanic diagonalized the vehicle with having the back motor mounts completely broken, and the front motor mounts were at about 25% remaining of life. I immediately contacted the service dept and made them aware of this, Brittany (which they do not use their real names) told me I have to wait a week and a half to receive service to my car. I told her I do not feel at all comfortable with this vehicle on the road. They informed me that this issue did not come up during inspection. Which I highly doubt they did a complete inspection. I informed the front desk rep that I do not want to have possession of this vehicle anymore to have someone come pick up the car on Monday, October 6, 2014. She said they will send someone and they never came. Also, on 10/13/2014 I noticed a puddle of dirty water in the trunk under where the spare tire supposed to have been, which there was no spare tire or lining in the trunk. The vehicle has been waiting for pick up since the 6th of October. I received a phone call and email from the company demanding payment or they will have it repossessed. I told them they can do that cause I do not want it. A repo rep contacted me stating if I dont contact them about payment they will turn it off. I stated to him I do not want the vehicle and I bring it them since they cant get it from me. He said I will still be responsible for the balance of 500$ for the down payment. I explained to him I will not be paying that cause the vehicle was severely damaged and they sold me a damaged vehicle. He told me they will garnish my wages of up to 25%. I then stated to him I will disconnect the phone call. Over the next 15 minutes EZ Own called my cell phone 12 times trying to reach me. They use threats of repossession and send a towing truck to extract payments from customers. Lauren, who is anther employee there also tried to use this tactic.

If I could give them 0 stars I would! So I put $500 down on a 2003 Malibu (dented/wrecked), but I didnt have any other options at the time. This was on 9/18/2013 by 9/20/2013 I get into the car to leave for work and what do you know? My car doesnt start, so I miss an entire day of work waiting around for them to fix the problem. I get the car back the low coolant light comes on and car is running hot (check the coolant and its full). Next day the check engine light comes on. By 9/26/2013 I go outside and once again car doesnt start. I call them and s/w the receptionist, Jody (sales), Randy (sales), Travis (service) and I ask each of them to transfer me to the manager (Matthew) but somehow I was passed around until I got tired of calling. Later in the day Jody calls me and tries to sell me a car, not paying attention to the fact that Id already spoken with her. Anyway, I get to the office and prepared to advise them where they could pick up the car BUT theyve already picked it up w/out my request/permission. They were so sorry promised me a new better car with a great discount. I fill out the paperwork and they tell me the car wont be ready until the next day and I will have to call insurance and pay to switch from the origional lemon they gave me. I was assured only the windshield needed replacing and the car would be delivered to my job the next day and swapped with the origional lemon. I waited all day called them, left voicemails for Randy who made this agreement...sent him text messages and never received a call back. Around there closing time i called again and was informed by the receptionist that the car was not ready yet and to give it another day. Mind you still nobody ever called back after my voicemails or text messages...HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE....A BUNCH OF CONS...AND THEY EXPECT ANOTHER $800 DOWN PAYMENT WHEN I HAVENT BEEN ABLE TO GET TO WORK....PLEASE DO YOURSELF A FAVOR...CHECK OUT AUTO ACTION...DEL CORONADO MOTORS....PREITOS AUTO...U WILL BE MUCH BETTER OFF....

BUYER BEWARE!!! They discount these customers car payments if they post a GOOD REVIEW (proof-they asked me to do so & I REFUSED)-READ THE PREVIOUS COMMENTS FROM 03/2016 & BEFORE (TRUE REVIEWS)..Do not fall for this scam, do not LEASE an overpriced car because thats all youre doing LEASING IT not OWNING IT!! Reputable insurance companys will not insure these cars, they want nothing to do with scam. Youll have to use the insurance carriers they provide or your vehicle will be shut off & given to the next unsuspecting customer to continue the scam!! This company breeds on uneducated, desperate buyers with NO other OPTIONS for transportation. They buy CHEAP UNRELIABLE cars from the auction, they do very little to NOTHING to service the cars and place them right on the lot & wait for suckers. When the car breaks down, theyll just place you in another contract on another over priced vehicle to keep you looped in the SCAM. Youll end up buying a used $3000-$4000 car with THOUSANDS OF MILES on it for $20,000 "IF" you make it to the end of the contract. Imagine if you had 20 cars- then you leased them to unsuspecting buyers & charged each buyer $300-$500 a month, thats a profit of about $10,000 a month for just 20 cars so imagine 100-200 cars or more. This SCOTTSDALE hustler went right to the neighborhoods he would never live in to scam low income customers into buying crappy used cars. This is a SCAM for profit nothing more but theyll pitch you the "2nd chance-NO credit needed" speech to make you feel like theyre doing a great thing but theyre NOT. These cars have been contracted out repeatedly but LEASED for the SAME contract amount on each customer as if the value of the car NEVER existed (how can they contract a car for $20k in December & get another unsuspecting customer to contract the SAME $20k in June? Fraudulently thats how!!. RUN, RUN, RUN far away from this place!! Find a reputable dealership, save yourself the hassle. Signed FIGURED IT OUT & GOT OUT QUICK!!
