The other reviews in here are really outdated . (Last one was over 2 years ago) so let me do an updated review First off, there is no longer an old smoking mean Korean man like others have said. (At least I didnt see one on my visit) It was a mid aged bald white man. He seems nice and helpful when I asked a question. But I specifically went there for the "craft beers" sign on the front window. Expecting a huge selection that "other" liquor stores nearby wont have. And he literally had only the 2 front fridges with craft beer. The selection was rather small and none of the individual bottles were labeled with a price. But basing it off of the price of American piss water like pabst ,Coors, bud light that were priced at $9.99 for a freaking 6 pack. Im guessing that rape would follow through on the non American beers. But seriously though. Why are the prices so freaking high here? I mean that much for American beers that you can get for $6-7 anywhere else? It seems like his prices are literally $3 more per item. And I thought Ralphs market over charged for beer. Ralphs is cheap compared to this guy. Summary: a seemingly nice new owner or whoever he is does not make up for the absurd prices. People go to a local liqour store so that they dont have to go to a market and over pay for the same item. Why did you feel the need to flip it on the customers and charge more than an overpriced supermarket? This practice keeps people away from your establishment, thus making yourself nose dive faster than the titanic. Stop being too greedy or face the closed doors real soon!

This store is under new ownership so all the other reviews are really old! Liquor on the Rocks is just an incredible liquor store. It is owned by a guy named "Pops" and his wife. They also own Pops Liquor in Laguna Hills. They are the nicest and most knowledgeable people I have ever met, introducing me to their very large craft beer selection, which is incredible for a local liquor store. The store has multiple deals running all the time offering discounts on craft beer, wine and liquor. Nobody has the guts to do that except the people at Liquor on the Rocks. The store is super clean, well organized and lots of new product arriving all the time. The prices are great, with most items cheaper or the same than the supermarkets and big chains. This store is a must visit !

I live right next to this convienently located liquor stash out. I appreciate the fair prices they have on 40s, not 32s folks; full 40s of the king cobras for about $2.65. They used to be priced the same as the miller highlife 40s, but they went up 15¢. I think it was because the racks of 40s that we kept buying in a short time. The owners are friendly, despite what anyone says. Respect to this business for good prices and for being one of the only companies who hasnt been pushed out of the small plaza in which it is situated.

The first time I went in a old little smoking Korean man charged me 2.99 for three bottles of jaeger. I went back in a few weeks later and I was walking, saw him in front of store smoking, around the store checking specials and the little Asian man told me he had no time for me to browse to leave, I quickly got my items and asked about Jaeger , he said was 2.39. a shot ..not only did he overcharge first time me he tried to kick me out for simply browsing,,,this store is a DISGRACE with this Asian man!!!

Was on a road trip to a friends party. Asked if they had a particular brand of tequila. Old grumpy just looked at me and walked away to smoke his cigarette. Some other guy was too busy talking on the phone to help. I NEVER write reviews but this experience was too weird to not mention?!
