This company definitely lacks in customer service. My parents bought a custome built computer with an extended warranty 4 months ago and ran into some issues last week with it shutting down and restarting continuously. My mom took time off from work to take it in and hopefully get it repaired before Christmas. She explained everything she tried and what was going on and the man (using that term loosely) told her it sounded like a software issue and wrote on the work form "wont boot up, call customer" What a shame my mom wasted so much explanation, to just have to explain it all again when they call. Then my mom was told to sign 2 forms that were hard to read on the pinpad and the "kid" (a much better term) just told her to "hit agree." She asked what she just agreed to now twice and his comment back was "You just gave us your first born, although you are pretty old to just be having kids. So maybe you have a son that is looking for a job here?" My mom stared at the "kid" and wondered if that really just happened. She let the "kid" know that her son is a mechanical engineer with better manners. He didnt have anything to say back. (To clarify, my mom is in her early 50s and works with computers everyday as she runs the computers in the middle school at the school she teaches at. So we arent talking about someone that just came in and said "it doesnt work - fix it") So an entire week went by with no call about the computer and my mom finally pushed them yesterday to get something going on it. They said it was a software issue that isnt covered under the warranty and they would get it done but my mom would have to reload all her software herself then. She spoke to managers and supervisors and explained again that she came to them to purchase a computer because of the customization etc. She said that she didnt want to get back less of a computer than she started with and told them they can spend the time reinstalling all the programs that were removed seeing as she is already paying them to fix it. So they now will have the computer through Monday and she prays that the computer is going to function normally again. After talking to numerous managers about the "kids" attitude with her, she was informed that they were all reprimanded for their customer service and in a mumbled sentence "it shouldnt ever happen again." Definitely not getting what my mom paid for for her computer and because of their lack of customer service skills when someone is spending over a grand at the store, I would not recommend anyone using them.

I visited Milwaukee PC today for service on my computer; this was not my first visit and unfortunately most likely will be my last. I have no problems with the service technician, NICHOLAS P, as my receipt stated his name but I feel bad for him and the other employees. The environment he seems to work in put majority of this work on him alone. I could see he was very rushed but still made the effort to help me to the best of his ability, which was great! What I do not like and what will prevent me from shopping here further is management, they treat these employees, in the case of NICHOLAS P like complete crap. He informed me he has been working there for aprox 6 to 7 years and, I asked him how it was and he stated ok, but the expression on his face said differently. The environment of the store was different from previous visits, less employees, more work and my guess minimal to no pay increase. NICHOLAS P informed me that a recent employee had just left who handled a majority of the work which now seemed to have fallen into his lap. I asked him if any further plans of hiring a new employee to replace this previous employee but he did not know. Milwaukee PC should seriously reconsider how they treat employees and focus on the customer versus making a quick buck. Also I noticed they have started selling refurbished products which originally what stopped me from going to other competitors. I will be emailing this exact review to the general manager and hopefully those who see this feel the same!

This place is a joke - they have no clue how to treat a customer that walks in off the street and seem to be unwilling to make a sale or communicate properly with potential buyers in the store. We recently went to MPC to buy a hard drive and look at cases and other components as well while in the store. We found that the employess there are less than happy to help to say the least. When asking questions to the person at the counter we were treated as though we were a piece of gum on his shoe - no respect and didnt really seem to want to be bothered with questions and when asked about parts he handed us a sheet printed with prices and misc parts and walked away without another word and didnt ask if we needed help. We did notice that the prices were much higher than Best Buy, Tiger Direct or D K Systems - we dicided to leave after looking around for 10 minutes and trying to get someone else to answer some questions with no success. I will avoid this place and prefer to drive the extra distance to get good service even though this is the closest PC Outlet to our office.

I have been doing business with Milwaukee PC on HWY 100 for a very long time. The tech support there is fair, honest, easygoing, and makes you feel comfortable. They explain what they are doing in everyday terms, they communicate with excellent manor and care, and they are always happy to help! I dont know which Milwaukee PC that LtDarkstar was talking about, but I know a guy very well that works there and their policies on their merchandise is very strict, the prices are fair and even cheaper then most other places that just ship your stuff out to somewhere else to get it fixed. Sorry you had a bad experience pal, but the thousands of ppl that still shop there faithfully beg to differ with your opinion. Oh, and alittle fyi for ya, Geek Squad actually sends their computers that they cant fix to Milwaukee PC!

everyone trying to compare a retail store to a online store like newegg really needs to check their facts. compare Milwaukee pcs prices to like best buy or circuit city and you will see they are cheaper. problem with buying online is if there is a problem, you need to mess around with shipping etc.. with a local store you can walk right in and they usually take care of the RMA. Walk into a best buy and see how much their employees care about you, i dont think youll find it much better. Milwaukee PC also custom builds their own computers with quality parts which is more than you can say for the big box companies who just throw the cheapest crap from tiwan in their systems.

Terrible customer service. I went in with laptop in hand needing repair. First I wandered around the store for 5 minutes, while the 2 techs were assisting customers. When the one customer left...so did the employee. Left me standing there. I wandered for a couple more minutes, hoping someone would notice I was there. As I approached the front door on my way out, the tech at the front desk looked at me for a glance, and looked the other way! I guess they must be rich and dont want my $$, or a business. Geek Squad works.
