Not a good experience. Patrick did my tattoo, Marcos did my girlfriends. Marcos did a good job, very very minor mistakes, almost unnoticeable. Patrick on the other hand, did mine. Quoted me at one price, $100/hr, typical of most tattoo shops. To start, he wouldnt allow me to watch him pull out new sterile equipment. I had already swiped my card at this point. I had no idea whether the needle he was using was brand new, or used a million times. He starts tattooing me, after an agreed upon design. After about an hour and a half of him telling me how he is the best tattoo artist in Milwaukee (hes not, i assure you), and that all he cares about is money, in addition to multiple times getting up to go do other customers piercings during the middle of my tattoo, he finishes. All the while he had this type of attitude like I, the person paying for the tattoo was some sort of pond scum. The tattoo does not look at all how we had thoroughly discussed, but since its permanent, and I didnt want him to screw it up anymore, I say its ok and leave. His linework was awful, even on the most simple parts of the tattoo, and his shading was also terrible. He completely missed a big spot of black, perhaps just to save time, and other small spots were missed too. Upon getting my receipt (they ran my transaction while i was being tattooed), it is basically priced out at $150/hr.This included the time that he had got up and left to go do piercings, during the time that I was paying for!!! Frustrated, he gives me inconsistent aftercare directions from what many other places have told me, as well as the internet, and I leave. I call back to ask about touchups on his work, they will charge me for it, i am told! DO NOT GO HERE. GO TO SI AT ATOMIC OR CRAIG AT PAPES.

This place was awful! WHERE DO I START!!?? I went in there a week before my tattoo to have something drawn up and the guy said he would do it (name starts with a J). I get there on appointment day and he is no where to be found. So they try to get someone else to do it. That fell through. Then, "J" shows up about 3 hours later and says he didnt want to do mine because he had other clients!! I had been waiting HOURS to get this done and had an appointment for a week. Then he finally gets drawing and FINALLY get started about 4.5 hours after being there. He starts my tattoo and then during the middle of it stops to answer personal phone calls, texts, and even gets up and leaves the room several times for like 20 minutes to "take care of something". He comes back in and has random friends in our room talking with him while Im sitting there with my shirt off. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL!! Then when all is said and done and I see my tattoo, the only thing he got right was the outline. I said I did not want a circular tattoo, it was, I did not want it a blob of color, it was. Maybe get off your phone and LISTEN TO YOUR CLIENTS!! After all, it will be on me the REST OF MY LIFE!!!! Also he qouted me $120 for this tattoo and a retouch of an older one. Then charged me $200 for the new and did not have "time" to retouch the other one!! S*it hole is RIGHT!!!

I went on my 18th birthday to get two tattoos and a piercing that I had been planning for over the course of the past 3 years. I had taken a friend for piercings in the past and was very impressed with the clean and organized facilities. I got my two tattoos first, one behind my ear and another on my inner ankle. Jake, my tattoo artist got me exactly the designs I wanted in the sizes I wanted and checked after he had put the pattern on my skin to make sure the tattoos were exactly where I wanted them. He even did one small line on each one in turn before continuing to make sure I was alright. The entire process was very clean, professional, and (most importantly) comfortable. After carefully wrapping my tattoos and giving me verbal instructions on how to care for them (as well as a pamphlet with the same steps and his number in case I had any questions). I then went back downstairs and waited for Craig to prepare for my rook piercing. It was quick, practically painless, and very very clean. I would highly recommend Body Ritual to anyone in the city (or outside it) who is looking for a good tattoo or piercing experience.

Got my first tattoo done at AET about a month ago. Tyler was my artist and did a fantastic job. He did it just the way I asked him. About a month later I went back to see if he can do something to it to make it stand out. I told him I wanted some shading done but never explained to him how I want it shaded. He started doing his magic and the finished product was more than I could have asked for. Tyler is really a great artist. He just knew what I wanted without telling him. Awesome job! Would go back to him for my next one again! im from jersey and i would rather have the people at AET in california do the work i get done. preferably my next one done by Tyler but if hes unavailable, anyone at AET will do because i know that they all do great work and exceed your expectations

I walked in with a colored design and walked out with a black tribal tattoo. Apparently walking in with something on paper and telling them "I want this" wasnt good enough because what I wanted was not at all what I got. My design was supposed to be shaded purple and pink and the tattooist filled it in solid black. When I finally got to see it it was already completed. So, at that point I complained and they tried to "fix" it by putting some purple and pink zebra looking stripes in the background. Needless to say I HATE the way it turned out and am now stuck trying to find someone that can fix it to make it look halfway decent. I thought that by bringing in a design to show them exactly what I wanted would have been good enough...guess I was wrong.

both of my tattoos ive had inked at BR. i also got one of my nipples pierced there. i moved out of state and when i come back to town, i get something done. while they may come off as disorganized at the counter, im very satisfied with the work ive had done there-- every time i get something done, someone i am with does too-- i dont really know many people that have had an issue with the quality of work done here. id rather see my tat guys eating a sub at the register, and give me great ink/piercings, than go somewhere that feels like a doctors office, or has good service, but may have artists that lack experience.

I went in there looking for a cute industrial bar and some belly button rings. People were at the jewelry counters eating fast food and looked at me as if i was insane when i asked them to move their food so i could see what was in the cases. I had to ask for assistance several times before anyone paid any attention to me. They had no industrial bars or interchangeable balls whatsoever and all the belly button rings were extremely gaudy and expensive. I wouldnt trust these assholes to mop my floors, much less leave their marks on my body.
