When I truly learned how MN cigar taxes worked, I was floored and WILL NOT purchase from here again. You see in MN, there is a 70% tax on cigars! Also in WI, however there is a .50 cent tax cap. exp. $10 cigar + 70% tax now = $17, then you add sales tax! This next part is why I wont buy there! St. Croix Cigar Company JACKS the PRICE UP so it appears to be competitive, when in reality there pocketing all of the profits that appear to be taxes. There cigars should be... 70% less than in MN. Minus the .50 tax of course. Crooked as heck if you ask me. I LOVE the people that work there, just upset that their pricing is out of control. Which the BBB would slap them.

I have been going to St Croix Cigar since they have opened. The sales staff are professional and have shown a great deal of interest in sharing their love and knowledge of the art of cigars with anyone. They make you feel at home and take care of their customers with that small town charm Hudson is famous for.

A small shop, but good selection and very reasonable prices. They also have a 10% military discount and much respect for servicemembers, which I really appreciate. Indoor lounge too for enjoying a little peace and quiet. Worth the drive from the Twin Cities, in my opinion.

Overall small store, humidor and lounge area and so welcome on a cold winter night in WI. Friendly smokers enjoying their stick and conversations. Worth a repeat visit next time in area. Across St Croix River and downstream from Stillwater, MN.

Great cigar store! I visited there on a trip from Chicago. Very nice selection of cigars in their humidor. Comfortable lounge. Beautiful patio. The staff was really friendly and accommodating.
