Customer service seems to be going downhill lately. I also see less of the owner at the front counter working directly with the employees, which could be part of the problem. Today, like every other weekend morning that I go here, there is a line which I am used to seeing. The employee with red hair and black framed glasses called a single man from the very back of the line all way to the register to pay for one single donut. It was almost as if she knew the person, i.e. "boyfriend". He was patiently waiting at the end of the line when this happened, and even hesitated to go to the register when she signaled him to the front of the line. Then she gave a glaring look because she knew I saw what she did. If service like this is going to continue, I will take my business elsewhere.

Legendary Donuts is your place to go for fun donuts. While not Voodoo (Portland Doughnut shop), it is not your average grocery store doughnut. There are 3 levels of donuts (Amateur, Famous and Legendary) which are reflected in the price. The simple ones are Amateur and those would be your chocolate bars. Famous are your glazed donuts with sprinkles and Legendary donuts are large fritters or specialty donuts. If you check the website, not all the donuts will be there as they rotate which ones they make. Also, it is hard to tell how often they refill the case as sometimes I am told they are all out, while others are being replenished. You can order coffee and hot chocolate and there is a case for milk and juice.

This place is a great place for doughnuts. The staff is very friendly and always greets you. They are also helpful and have patience. The doughnuts are very good. I would suggest going earlier in the day if there is a popular doughnut you like because they may run out of it later on. They have a variety of doughnuts. From simple and plain to very elaborate and complex doughnuts. They also serve coffee and Italian sodas I have never tried any of these. Sometimes the line can get a bit long and that can be annoying because it is not a huge place. But also expected from a place that has such good product. I enjoy it and everyone I have sent here has loved it too.

I like the location itself. It was a retro/grunge style. On warm days they open the garage front of the shop up which means you can go some fun people watching. They offer a large variety of doughnuts, in many unique flavors. They also have a large range of doughnut sizes. I like the Sex in the City doughnut the best. The doughnuts are pricey but they are gourmet doughnuts and very filling. Their cost is also very easy to determine by the pricing chart. Sometimes I do wish the doughnuts were fresher. They are always good in the morning but later in the day you can tell they arent as fresh.

I went with a few family members, to try it out. First thing, the fruit flies inside the doughnut glass cases threw me off but I wanted to give the establishment a good chance after hearing so many things about it. We picked out our doughnuts (which were pretty decent, not fresh though) and sat down to enjoy our doughnuts. We were sitting eating and a HUGE RAT ran across the floor and up the wall into a hole in the corner where the ceiling and wall meet, even the workers behind the desk were grossed out and ran to the back, we did not finish our doughnuts, got up, and left.

Woke up this morning craving a donut so I Googled donut places in Tacoma and found this place. Bought 2 Homer Simpson donuts (extra large raised glazed doughnut). After eating a couple of bites I determined the dough wasnt to my liking in taste or freshness. I will admit that they had some unique donuts and the customer service wasnt that bad but I did not come for the uniqueness or customer service. I wanted a good donut and did not receive one. Because of that reason alone this will be my first and last time coming here.

I went to the 6th Avenue shop because a friend had given me a gift card and it was close. It was 8:30 in the morning and I had to walk around two ver-flowing dumpsters of trash that spilled out onto the sidewalk and street to get to the door. Inside, it was dark--too dark to feel comfortable about the places cleanliness. There was a long line with only one attendant. I waited through five loud radio commercials before deciding to leave and travel down the street to an old favorite shop.

Great location and seating area. This is a great place to sit and enjoy a donut if you have time to sit and enjoy it. The service.... well it isnt anything noteworthy, in fact you may feel as if you are bothering the person at the register instead of helping them stay in business by being a customer. What makes this a great place is the reason why you want to come here... THE DONUTS. Were it not for the awesome donuts, my review here would be 1 or 2 stars.

Ive been here several times and I really want to love this place but its just ok to me. They have lots to choose from with types that you dont find just anywhere. And their donuts are huge! Their staff has always been pretty friendly when Ive gone and parking hasnt been too hard to come by. But their donuts just have way too much sugar for my liking. I think a good donut is more about the fried dough. If its drowned in sugar, thats all you can taste.

Went to legendary doughnuts for the first time. The lady behind the countet was really nice and I asked her to mix me a dozen doughnuts with what she thought was good. I ended up leaving with 4 traditional, 2 maple, 2 maple bacon, 2 chocolate and 2 crossaint-doughnuts, and a latte. I ended up paying $30. Taste wise I wasnt a huge fan. Tthe doughnuts were dry and the bacon was burned. This was kind of a waste of money tbh.

No doubt they have some of the best doughnuts around. Costumer service on the other hand is lacking and if you order a few doughnuts and need to travel with them, they are cheap on the boxes. The boxes are small and the doughnuts huge, often theyll just mush too many into one or skip a second box and toss them in a bag. Just get one unless you want squished doughnuts that have started to share each others toppings.

Delicious!!!!! Can never go wrong with a doughnut here. The canolis are also, REAL with cheese inside rather than cream. The owner/manager is very friendly and enjoys casual conversation. Always friendly staff matches the excellence of their doughnuts. I am from the East Coast and anytime family comes out the first thing they ask is, "when are we getting Legendary?"

The doughnuts are HUGE and there are some interesting flavor mixes. The Coastal was unexpectedly delicious, as well as the Fireballs. I judge any donut shop on its apple fritters, and Legendary makes a great fritter. It is bigger than average, like everything they make, and it is just the right mix of chewy, crispy, doughy and plenty of apple and cinnamon.
