I would definitely NOT recommend this store! My sister and I shopped here for yarn and placed a special order for 13 skeins of yarn, which the owner (Teresa) said she would be happy to ship to me. (I live in California). I paid for the yarn in full and waited 6 weeks. After not receiving the yarn, I repeatedly tried phoning Teresa, with no return phone calls. My sister stopped by the shop and was told "oh, the yarn just arrived, and I will ship it today!" It never arrived, so I called two weeks later, with still no return phone calls. My sister, again, stopped by and was told, "how curious she never received the yarn. I just so happen to have enough to send it to her again. I will do so right away". After waiting an additional two weeks, I tried calling again to no avail. It has been four months and still no yarn. Teresa seemed helpful when we were in the store, but this is really shady business practice, if you asked me! So buyer beware!!!

I love this store! I used to bring my friend Judy here to pick up her yarn, and I would admire all the variety of gorgeous fibers. I have decided to try to learn knitting again so I went back after also checking out several other stores in western Washington, from Everett to Seattle to Kirkland. This is the store where Ive decided to take lessons, based on Theresa and her outstanding customer service. Her rates for private lessons cant be beat, either. Her attitude toward learning is a perfect match for an optimistic beginner: "Sure! You can do that!" "What to knit? Knit what you want to own!" I highly recommend this terrific store in a sweet town that is so fun to visit.

I went there for the first time tonight with my daughter. When I went into the store there were a bunch of ladies sitting around a table, I assume for some kind of knitting/crochet get together. While I was looking in the store, I never knew who was working there because no one ever came to say hello or ask me what I was looking for. What a dissapointment to know that whoever was working didnt want to give any customer service. I did not spend any money in the store and will not ever return. It amazes me in times like this I would think you would want to have every customer you could.

I went in to Country Yarns a few years ago, wanting to knit something special for a friend, but not knowing how to "really" knit. Meeting Teresa has been one of the highlights of my life. She has taught me how to knit - with the utmost patience. The shop is a great place to drop in to work on a project, and hang out with other knitters. Teresa is friendly, down to earth, very knowledgeable ( about crochet also ), and always greets shoppers with a friendly hello. Country Yarns is my home away from home.

When it comes to customer service, Teresa gets the first place prize of the year in my book! I am a beginner and I have all kinds of booboos so I take my project in and Teresa drops what shes doing, helps me reverse my mistakes and teaches me what I did incorrectly and how to knit the stitches the correct way. Her yarn is to "dye" for - which she dyes in her kitchen at home. Absolutely wonderful, wonderful person and shop! I look forward to classes and group knitting sessions at Country Yarns!

Theresa is so encouraging, so helpful and so enthusiastic about the yarn. The new store is fabulous. Light streams in from all the windows, making the yarn even more beautiful and harder to resist. The spirit of the shop is equally bright, warm and welcoming. That comes from Theresa and the knitters who flock to the shop.

Yes, for some reason GoogleMaps is showing Country Yarns in Snohomish as permanently closed when it has *only* moved! The correct address is 119 Glen Ave! Google really needs to have a provision for businesses that simply move like "Location closed - see new address" rather than "Permanently closed."

Teresa is always super friendly. She has been extremely helpful. I am getting back into knitting after a 15+ year reprieve. She has had great ideas for yarn to use, and a pattern for my granddaughters sweater. I grew up hanging out in yarn shops. This one feels like home! Kudos to Teresa.
