I have never felt so profiled in my whole life until today when I came to Home Depot just gathering some materials for a DIY I was very excited about. I came here eager and proud of myself for wanting to build shelves myself instead of immediately going out and buying one that was already put together. I only had 6 items so I went into Self Checkout so I didnt have to wait in line, there is where I met an employee who made me go from feeling like a proud 20 year old to an incapable human being all within 15 seconds. As soon as i went up the employee said she would scan my wood which made sense to me since they were pretty large boards. As I started grabbing my other items to ring them up myself she took them out of my hand without asking scanned them all for me and kept looking around my cart as if I had something to hide. I felt too shocked at the time to say anything but was more disturbed at the fact that the middle aged lady behind me was able to ring all of her items without being bothered but yet I was standing there feeling 100% profiled for looking younger. I understand shoplifting is a thing but for someone to just look at me at first glance because I looked younger and immediately assume I was up to no good really bothers me physically and mentally. I will still be back to the store for more materials in the future, but all I wanted was to share my experience for it is actually really bothering me.

AS ANOTHER REVIEW SAID - STAY AWAY FROM HOME DEPOTs FLOORING INSTALLATIONS!! YOU WILL THANK YOURSELF A MILLION TIMES OVER. MOST OF THE HOME DEPOT PUGET SOUND LOCATIONS USE THE SAME INSTALLER. My dog could have done a better job (not to sound harsh, but it was truly pathetic). Lowes installers are true professionals and was picture perfect. I do home restoration and have used both companies on numerous occassions. No contest. Lowes is amazing. APPLIANCES: If looking to get the most amazing deals on appliances, Home Depot outdoes Lowes on Thanksgiving weekend. Go early the day after Thanksgiving, so theyre not out of stock. Many appliances are 33% off and are NOT clearance models. Best deal Ive ever found, and I buy a lot of appliances.The rest of the year the two companies are comparable. Lowes will deliver appliances next day, which can be a godsend, even on Sundays! It appears Home Depot is contracting with appliance delivery companies that are using illegals. I would lien towards Lowes with legal employees.

I have tried and tried to give my money to Home Depot in Silverdale...appliances and carpet to be exact. Flooring was the absolute worse. I went in to order a carpet install, no one in the store could help me. The woman in paint(who was great) left a long message for the flooring department to call me the next morning. Needless to say, I am still waiting for the call. After going back in to talk with flooring at Silverdale after no call...that sealed the deal. It just felt like no one really cared or wanted to help. I then went to Poulsbo, folks were kind and it felt like they wanted to get the job done. Thank you Poulsbo...no thanks Silverdale.

Mike, Mature/knowledgeable middle aged service rep Ensured I had a safe load to haul on my "cheap" trailer, He spent over an hour configuring my trailer to fit six - eight foot x six foot cedar fence unit . He had to cut pieces of my trailer wooden uprights with my assistance with Home Depot saws in the parking lot and load the units evenly to allow safe transportation on the road. VERY IMPRESSIVE customer service This is above and beyond what I expected.18 Aug 2015 approx. 630 to 730 pm. I will continue to use Home Depot for my Home and yard needs. Steve Reynolds

I signed a contract the end of May for gutter installation June 20-21; was told it would likely happen sooner, and after a follow-up email that said the installation should happen the second week of June, I scheduled my exterior house painting (with another company) to start the first week of July. Now it is the last day of June and after multiple phone calls just to get in contact with the scheduler, and being told that they would finally be installed today, I still have no gutters.

Its a Home Depot like any other Home Depot. You go because you need to fix something that broke, buy something to organize your stuff that works, or return something you bought. And you know, because its a Home Depot, youll be on your own in finding what you think you need and then using your phone to double-check. You DONT go to a Home Depot... EVER... because you want remarkable customer service. The Silverdale location doesnt break the mold in any way whatsoever.

not sure why so many people are having problems here. my husband and i drive all the way from bremerton for their excellent paint selection, and basically everything else a new home owner could need. every single time weve needed advice/help its been pretty amazing...and the employees are always super nice and helfpful.

As with all Home Depots this one doesnt disappoint. I prefer it to Lowes mainly for their brands and the overall look and feel of the store. This one doesnt disappoint. Their location is a little awkward to get in and out of if youre not real familiar with Silverdale. But it has great parking once you find it.

I love this store in silverdale, great staff with a positive attitude and good customer service. I went today to get some stuff from there and Its sad to hear one of the best staff left the company about month ago name Peter that works in Garden department. He is good staff and he always makes customers smile.

No issues here. Service was good. Stock if items needed was plentiful. Had help when I needed it. It was a warm summer day and it was busy in the store. Good to see so many people out to get things to improve their homes.

Very helpful staff! Though several associates tried, none could find an item for which both the website and their internal computers reflected a quantity of 25 on hand. They really went overboard to try though!
