Spicy Spoonful

This store is very poorly run and the selection is terrible. I cant believe all the good reviews it got. I went in today to buy a handful of things I cant find at a regular grocery store. Everything is overpriced (Ive been to many South Asian grocery stores in my life). Furthermore not everything is labeled with a price so the cashier was just making up prices differently for each customer (watch out folks, when mom/pop stores dont post prices, they are blatantly ripping ppl off). But my biggest complaint isnt even the stench, uncleanliness, nor the poor pricing, its the customer service. There is none! There was a family ahead of me who was arguing w the cashier becasue he overcharged them, didnt offer a refund or apologize, and furthermore asked them if they wanted to just "buy more stuff" instead of giving them their money back! After much haggling, the poor family got their money back. When it was my turn, the cashier mumbles "some people huh?" As if I was going to talk smack with him! True story, you cant make this up. Never returning...oh and ps. Not even Pakistani or Indian owners from what I could tell. Must be a front...

I have been going to this store for over 20 years The ownership has changed few times and now there is new owner for last 1 1/2 years very honest guy with great customer services. I go there for fresh lamb on every wednessday and fresh pita bread and organic chikhen on every friday. There are not only indian food but there are great mediterranean products including high quality olive oil called "KOURA, fava beans from meddle eastern, different cheese including feta cheese from bulgraria other mediterranean region

great small store with variety of Indian and Mediterranean products at reasonable prices. great customer services unique products and clean store. Additional there are quality meat. I love their 100% lean ground beef and their fresh lamb or goat. I am really recommend those who love try new thing or those want love ethnic foods

Selection was bad, items were not organized properly, and there werent any prices marked. The place didnt seem safe overall, with bunch of people standing at the entrance and smoking.

Bought some items which were already expired. Bought a steel cooking cover which started rusting after a couple of washes. Very dissatisfied with the quality of products here.

Very poor collection of grocery items, barely has any spices and other stuffs which are "must have" for any Indian/Pakistani grocery. Disappointed.
