Review from a very experienced thrift shopper: This is the best goodwill outlet in Washington State. My girl friend and I are both approaching 30, we both consider our selves experienced thrift shoppers, generally we look for brand name clothes, tech thats been released within the past 5 years, furniture, and anything else that suits our needs (seasonal items, decor, etc). I previously used to frequent the Everett Outlet, Downtown Seattle Outlet, As well as the Kent outlet. The Olympia location (while lacking in furniture), makes it up for it everything else! The trick to going to an outlet is to keep an open mind, pull anything you need (or want), when youve made it to the end of the last tote, find a couch, pull everything out of the cart and organize it, and try to only purchase half of what you pulled. This not only adds your own quality control but it also keeps the price low, but allows you to save the remaining money for the next day (days). You shouldnt go into an outlet looking for one thing, one day. Best practices are to keep an open mind, and go multiple days, dont blow you whole wad one day, chances are what you actually wanted youll find the next day. Or you can plan your entire day there if you find out when they switch the bins.

I actually dont understand this store, its not very good on prices. Things get weighed so you pay by the pound? Also its extremely dirty and huge long line of bins are filled with just over flowing stuff... a lot of it is just not good, I suppose for those that like to rummage through and find something cool its a great store, but I went having never been before and it shocked me compared to the normal goodwill store this was a nightmare. People throw things around in a hurry looking for things, and I saw all these huge piles of wonderful books but they were so abused and done damaged by the time they were sifted through and it was simply a very unpleasant experience. The clientele are of varying backgrounds and so everyone shops here, that wasnt an issue actually, it was irrelevant, I simply was shocked with how the store was set up and the products that were thrown around. I think this is the last ditch effort to repurpose the items before they end up in a landfill or shipped off to another country to deal with. Im giving it four stars because at the end of everything, Id rather people try to repurpose things already in existence than to give up on it and put it inside the earth as a landfill heap.

Employees are very rude. It was 6:20. Male employee keep coming on speaker saying we needed to stop and make our way to check out because they were closing in 5 minutes. No on stopped (because they close at 7) sohe keep saying it and getting ruder every time. I didnt get his name, but I wish I had so I could turn him in to management. Needless to say some of the employees who bring bins out are also rude and people are very aggressive. Stay with your kids or other adults will push them around and out of their way. You really have to stand your ground as people will crowd into you.

Interesting concept, incredibly poor execution. A vast majority of the items I looked at (electronics and media) were broken or damaged beyond use, so there was no point in buying any of it. There were also a TON of bootleg movies mixed in with the damaged media and almost no organization in any of the bins (partly due to lazy customers). I can understand the bins for clothes and other less-fragile items, but a lot of the electronics and more breakable products should be organized more neatly to prevent damage to inventory.

Great concept but VERY poorly done. I went for the first time and LAST TIME Monday the 25th of July and it was horrible. I was looking for a match to a shoe in about 8 different huge bins only to not find the match because I gave up due to grabbing a shoe and having a large black spider crawl out. A lady who saw it leaned over and said "that right yhere is why you wear gloves". Nothing is organized. There was clothes with the shoes and electronics with the clothes. No organization what so ever.

Worst Goodwill Ive EVER been too. I have lived all over the country and been to many Goodwill stores. They dont have anything organized. There are no signs or sections (clothes, kids toys, etc.) All items are dumped into huge bins with no rhyme or reason. Some items are missing a parts or they are very dirty. They arent fully staffed and the staff they do have seem very overwhelmed. This is a for-profit business;they should like the all the other Goodwill stores. Very disappointed!

Honestly I had no idea what I was walking into when I got here. It was basically huge bins full of "stuff" not organized at all. More like an indoor rummage sale. I guess if you have time to sift through everything it might be worth it, but I was in there about 30 seconds before realizing that was not at all what I wanted to do with my afternoon. It might be a really great deal but way too chaotic and disorganized for me.

Aisles of treasures to be found! Stuff here is purchased by the pound. Just wheel your cart on the scale and be amazed at how cheap your total will be! I bought 2 tops, 1 pair of pants, 2 skirts, a tote bag, 2 toy Airplanes and a teddy bear that you can heat up to be a heating pad, all for $12! And everyday is new and wonderful things to discover!

Lets get ready to rumble. Bring your pads and sparring gear. (and some hand sanitizer) Thrifty Moms will throw some bows to get to that half broken keurig or ninja turtle backpack. Everything is tossed into large bins and its like a free for all when a new bin comes in. But you never know what you might find.

Its great if you are looking for a bargin but it is not for everyone. You have to dig through bins to find anything and I recomend that you wear gloves because I have found some pretty icky stuff before. It is a lot of work but everything is sold by the pound so it can be worth it for a great bargin.

Some great deals to be had here, though the entire setup is kind of horrifying. I got two oil lamp globes for about $0.15 each when they are selling brand-new at Ace for almost $15. Worth a visit if youve got a long list of needs and dont mind not meeting most of them.

Interesting idea, the bins that you dig through to find your fare are troubling and so is the clannish attitude of the other patrons if you get too close to their "area" but there are some bargains to be found, for certain, but not really my preferred shopping genre.

I cant even shop at any other goodwill anymore, and goodwill has always been my favorite place to shop. sure its not organized super nice and you have to dig a bit, but you can find so much for so little. Ive never spent more than $12 there, and trust me I go crazy.
