I have shopped at the Kirkland, WA Sally Beauty Supply #02920 for over 7yrs now. And am truly appalled at how I was treated by employee, Kristin Bacon on Sunday Aug 1, 2010. She was a white female approx 5’6, 170lbs, had blonde multicolored dreads that were midback length, light colored eyes. I arrived at the store at 10:55am where I sat in my car, which was parked directly in front of the store. I waited with another car (parked next to mine) that had 3 women in it also. I waited until 11:10am. I got out of my car, knocked on the door, tried to pull the door open, it was closed. The women in the car waiting next to me tried calling the store phone number and no one answered. I decided to continue running my Sunday errands and leave. An hour later I returned and walked in picked up some hair color and walked up to the cashier, which was Kristin. She had been helping a lady in front of me, but seemed very unhappy/ angry. I walked up and gave her my hair color.. With a lot of attitude she asked me “if I had a Sally card?” I took it out of my wallet and handed it to her. I than said “What time did the store open this morning?” And with a very derogatorial response she said “I was only 5 minutes late and people are not perfect, I make mistakes, it was only 5 minutes” I calmly tried to explain to her that I waited for 10 minutes and saw no one there. She cut me off and started to argue with me that I was wrong and she was only “5 minutes late, she’s only human, she isn’t perfect” I was so shocked at how I was being scolded at in front of all the store customers I decided to stay quiet. I handed her cash to pay for the item. She flung the cash and change into my hand. She very angrily asked, “If I wanted a bag?” I said “No thanks” And she said, “Have a great day” with such aggression. I softly responded “You too” And Kristin said “Oh I will”. I have never been treated so badly by a store employee before. I have always gone to that store location for all my beauty needs. I feel that I will never return there anymore and will tell all my family and friends about how horrible this Sally employee treated me. I am an Aesthetician and I deal with a lot of people daily. I will also inform my clients about how rude she was.

Ive been going to this location for 2 years and their staff has always been helpful. Today...I didnt recognize any of the employees. Ill admit that most of them were busy so I waited for things to slow down. I watched two employees stand at the register chatting while Im standing in the isle looking right at them. I continued looking for the product I needed. One of the girls makes her way to the front of the isle I was in, a few feet away from where she was standing, ask a customer if she needed help and went back behind the counter. I guess she couldnt bother walking further down to where I was. At that point I decided to walk out. She simply looked at me and didnt even acknowledge me. My daughter usually goes there on a weekly basis to purchase hair dye. Not anymore. Ill gladly drive to Woodinville than give them my business.

I frequent this location only for nail supplies. Ive noticed the employees have changed a few times, but theyre always available if I have a question. Ive even been shown products they hadnt put out on the floor yet (because they had just arrived) and was even informed most of the colors I come looking for will eventually be listed on clearance if they havent sold. I was able to get a China Glaze Polish from the 2016 fall collection for $2 with my discount.

Its easy to get overwhelmed in these stores. They usually have very little space and a great deal of products. This location has friendly staff that knows the store and the products well. No matter strange my request or question might be, theyre always there with an answer.

Like the clearance sales and the additional membership discount. Great brand name & generic products. Sales staff are usually beauty school patrons... Their advice is sometimes helpful. Just a cool place to spend some time on a lazy afternoon.
