Shop elsewhere! Id been shopping here for a long time and had bought several pairs of shoes and boots during our last trip there, needed to return a pair of boots but my wife had the card the purchase was made on so theyd only do the return via a gift card (why they couldnt just credit the card the purchase was made on like every other store, none of them need the physical card?). Well, fast forward to today and I tried to use the gift card and was told "sorry, its inactive", when I asked why, the lady said "oh, we got hacked a few months back and the hackers emptied a bunch of the cards", I explained that this is not my problem, its theirs and she needed to call corporate and sort it out then. She called and was told the card was used at another store and thats why its inactive (no transaction record, no balance leftovers, just inactive). Again, I explained that the card hasnt left my wallet since it was given to me and that I dont shop at other Payless stores (this one is right down the street from my house), she said "well, theres nothing we can do about it" and I said "so, Im just out $50.00 then?" And her reply was "yep", great customer service, wont be back ever again.

I work in the building directly opposite the Rite Aid. The building itself is covered in mold and mildew, enough to make a person sick. So it surprises me that this is supposedly a place of wellness. The east and south entrances are covered with homeless beggars, and as Im perched above the entrance in an office above the street, I can attest to the notion that they are not homeless, just lazy drug addicted kids who dont want jobs. I guess it makes sense that the inside and outside of this place are covered with homelessness. Large but dirty inside.

Horrible horrible service. Been in this store for 2 hours now looking for a pair of work shoes. Not a single employee has asked me if i needed help. Had to go find a check out girl to pay for my shoes that I had absolutely no help getting. But when a handsome gentleman walks in the door theyre all over him like flies in poop. Meanwhile unruly children are playing marco polo across the the store and running around like animals knocking things over and stepping and running into other customers. I will never come back again. Horrible service!

Wow - I think they lost some great folks they had in the Pharmacy. Service is now distinctly slow, i.e. not filling auto-refills promptly, left hanging while checking on whether an Rx was in store (for several minutes til I finally hung up). Am leaning seriously toward making a move to another store entirely. Have been disappointed now over the past 4-6 weeks making it difficult to want to stay given this lower customer service and support.

The staff here are just so unprofessional - especially in the pharmacy. They somehow manage to be patronizing and inept at the same time, and it takes a ridiculous amount of time to fill while you wait. Okay if you just need to pick up some cough syrup, but I would not use this location to fill prescriptions. Walgreens on Burnside is not perfect, but better than here.
