Normally Safeway has great store hours and happy staff that make them a great competitive store but over the years I feel its getting lazy for example if the store hours are supposed to be 5:00 to 1:00 then why when is it that I show up at 6 or 7 just to be greeted with bad attitude employees saying we arent open so I dont know what you are doing here and then saying our store hours have always been 9:00 to 9:00 check online and thats far from it. I can walk around in produce and have done this but take a bag and pick all the old, and rotten items and buy them just to get rid of them because I dont want others to deal with them I understand a daily check may not be mandatory but if I was an employee Id handle it. Next we have the staff so this is surprisingly a plus during the day they are quite productive and ask what people are looking for or they are hard at work reorganizing things but some could use more training in service. All in all I have been going to Safeway since I was 7 and could actually find what Im looking for and throughout these last 11 years Im sad to say Safeway has gone downhill

I called the store phone and was on holed 3 diffrent times in one phone call. Wile on the phone i was asked to chose a number for my request and i would be directed to that department. When doing so i chose 8, i sat on hold and after about 15 min the voice recording would start over. I then tryed a diffrent department going from 8 to 6 to 5 which are produce and pharmacy. When trying pharmacy the 3rd tome i was then conected to a varry rude woman. I stated the problem i had to he with the call and ask to speak to the manager so i could finally get the question i was calling about answered. When she then stated no manager is alowed on there phones in the pharmacy. So i then asked if she maybe knew anything about the store. She then replyed no let me get you the stores phone number which mind you i was calling from the main store number through the extention.she read it to me allowed. I then said i tryed the the number and tryed to plead my case. I was then hung up on mid sentence. All just to see if the western union was working

Strike 2! So I went into their Starbucks, ordered a drink n paid for it. The girl then tells me she cant make my drink because shes out of the ingredient . I didnt even get a refund because she couldnt figure it out and didnt give a damn. Tonight I went in and asked to have someone come back and sell me a cake. The lady explained that they are short staffed and I will have to wait. Okay got it. I go back and patiently wait 30 min. Finally I take a different cake up front and ask the same woman hey can you sell me the cake I want ? Frustrated she tells me when I get someone to relieve me I can go back there . you will have to wait" I explain to her Ive waited 30 min already. She didnt give a damn- pretty much shrugged. So I get the cake i dont want and now my best friend is going to get just a cake and not something special. Thanks for not giving a damn Safeway

I just spent 20 minutes in line with 9 customers in front of me trying to check out. It was 12:40am of course they only had one checker who was doing a great job. Besides checking he had to run to the liquor and cigarette cases that slowed down things even more. By the time I left there were 12 people waiting to check out with some woman doing a countdown of when the store was closing. If Safeway cannot provide adequate staffing to tend to the customers then they need to start closing earlier when there is more staff or get out of the grocery business. I spend a great deal of money at Safeway but this has soured me big time.

Stood in line for ever at customer service the workers saw me as I waited. Finally a worker passes by and tell me that customer service is closed and he proceeds to open a check stand across from me. Instead of offering to help me he invited others to his line so I must wait all over in a new line. I tell him theres no signage that informs people customer service is closed and he rudely informs me that there is. So no, in fact Mr.worker there is not. There is a sign however saying that western union is closed. I did not know that "western union" being closed means that the whole customer service is closed. Unclear.

Whoever handles their buying/stocking should be fired. Milk is often expired or 1 day away from expiring, items that run out dont get restocked (I havent seen them restock Safeway brand salt in months), the bread I buy from the bakery has mold on it in less than 24 hours. Lines are always long because they only have 3 lanes open at a time. Homeless and sketchy people are always hanging around the entrance near the Amazon locker. Theyd probably be robbing people if Safeway didnt have a security guard posted out front 24/7. They get 2 stars because I like the people who work there.

I was at the gas station on aug 9th.around 7pm. The cashier whom has been less than thoughtfull twoards her customers. Shes heavy set name starts with an A i cant pronounce it . Is totally rude and incompetant. Kept me waiting while she was ingaged n a personal matter than i had to go back 3 times to tell her to turn the pump on and she was total:,&/=÷!#;_. This isnt my first run n the the woman. On several occasions. A rude and total incompetant employee that needs to b removed from her posistion.

Worst customer service clerks ever..they where way too overwhelmed/short staffed to provide any real assistance. Instead they where rude and short, just trying to push me through as quickly as they could. They argued their advertised prices instead of actually getting up to go look. Im sure they didnt even hear my complaint. What happened to the customer is allways right? Cause here the computer is allways right! The lines are awful. And thier manager was "unavailable". Ill never go back.

I gave this pharmacy every possible chance, but they are fully incapable of providing even marginal service. If its something that can be screwed up, they have screwed it up. The staff is lazy, sloppy and rude. No one at the facility is accountable and regional management apparently doesnt care or finds this performance acceptable. After many years of patronizing this store for grocery shopping, the pharmacy has been so bad I will no longer shop at this location at all.
