Went there the other day. The gal that waited on me could use some people skills training. Eye contact once. No smile. No hello, just a "whos next". Told her I dont know much about jerky. And I wanted to try it. She made zero conversation, zero suggestions. So I asked for regular beef jerky. Without her help....I noticed there was a thick version and a thin version. She asked how much and went for the thick one without asking which one I might prefer. Zero words of info fell from her lips.... I asked what the difference between the two. She managed to say a few words. Handed me the bag and I got in line to pay. WOW!!!! They have androids working at this place!!! Looks like a real person but has a cold robotic output. When you are on the clock ..... be nice and be helpful please. Im new to this kind of meat shopping and had lots of questions....Ill go to another place I suppose..... the jerky tasted good. I hope she finds happier days. Poor thing......

I bought a large box of assorted steaks. They tasted like they had turned bad. Took them back to Green Valley Meats & they apologized, saying that they make up the combo packs using steaks they are pulling (for dating issues) from the meat case and that it was possible we just got meat that had turned. So we took our new box home, tried one steak from it - same thing again, but this time it had a gamey smoke smell to it, like it was bad meat that had been sitting on top of venison. We threw that box out (about $100 worth) and will never go back again. The only reason I didnt not give them one star only is because if you want a single steak from the glass counter, they used to have the best. We spent a small fortune there & loved it every time. Now I cant walk in there anymore because that smell associated with the bad meat I got makes me physically sick.

I went to this place thinking I could get a better quality product than the grocery store. Their prices are 40%+ higher so I expected something good. We bought a pork shoulder roast and it smelled bad in the car and in the fridge. When I opened the package a few hours later, I was knocked over by the stench. Once I opened the paper wrap, I could see that it was brown and rotten! How can they sell this, at top dollar, and get away with it??? Unbelievable and disgusting! Do yourself a favor and skip this place. Off to the grocery store to buy a fresh roast for the dish I need to make. What a waste.

Wonderful local meat joint. Fresh, some exotics, all yummy! Favorites are the landjeager and Pepperjack beef sticks. Take advantage of the free samples, but listen when they warn you about spicy! The people are always friendly and will take the time to share a recipe or give info on a cut or special. Weve been stopping by on our way to Flaming Geyser since I was a little girl. Now, I make a point to drive out here every time Im in the Seattle region. They do ship, though!! So, we will always be ordering our pepperoni from GVM no matter where we live.

sorry i hate giving this place 2 stars because they lie on their website. they do have some of the best meat i have grilled and thats why i am upset with this place. i have been there many times over the course of about 5 years and tonight i went there for the 3rd time tonight between the hours of 7:30~7:45pm which their site says they are open until 8:00 and they have been closed. thanks for wasting my time and my gas. will i return probably. however maybe i can find meats that are the same elsewhere and i can go there instead.

I have loved everything in there..from beef jerkey, to bacon, pork roast, and chuck roast. I always buy the roast here for when we make tamales every year. Everyone there has been helpful and friendly. In and out quickly and the location is right off the Hwy. I can not ask for a better place to get quality meat, I absolutely love this place and have been nice enough to share the jerkey with folks and they have gone there too, we are spreading the word! Thank you again GVM!

Well, my husband purchased several types of pepperoni and let me just say, it gave everyone that ate it horrible gas and a stomache ache. We also got some of the smoked salmon and it was terrible! It was not only super dry, but it was so salty that it had to be thrown out, along with the pepperoni. It was like trying to swallow a teaspoon of salt, really! What a bummer.

Great selection of beef jerky. Weve also ordered thier natural turkey for Thanksgiving the past 2 years and it was delicious both times. Only wish they had more chicken products in their cases on a normal basis.

This is the place to go get beef jerky. It is most definitely a place for a great steak, plus its so close to Flaming geyser. Dont forget to be adventurous its all good anyway.

The honey maple stix taste like and smell like dog food very high price for everything and nobody in there is very friendly.... Sorry but not worth your high prices gvm.

Stop in there every day after work to grab a burger out of the box and a drink, have purchased plenty of steaks and other meat from them. Never been disappointed.

They must have changed their pepperoni stick recipe since last time I was here several years ago, its hardly edible now, the casing is like paper.

Friendly staff with great customer service skills. Seasonal specials, be sure to ask. Great butchering and the jerry is very much worth the trip.

This place is great, great variety, a little more spendy but the meat is a better quality then whats at the grocery store.

I only go for the jerky. A must have on a monthly basis. Great assortment of flavors.
