I used to come here all the time! Their is young lady at the Cafe area who is very customer service oriented and I enjoyed her pleasantly patient nature. The Barnes and Noble staff however, they can use/receive training from her. In the past, I have let it slide that the staff are very rude and condescending when speaking with customers. Today, 26 April 2014; I walk in and another customer walks out (time was 1115 or so) and the alarm goes off. I turned to look at the cashier (Alan) to see if he was going to go after the man that exited and no response. So, I continued on to the Cafe area and eventually found my way to the "bar stool" area. As I am trying to get situated, Alan comes up and asks to look into my bag (my laptop, NOOK, and other study materials) and states that he wanted me to empty it out so that he can make the determination on what was causing their alarm to go off! I started to take things out and trying to joke around, but he continued to want me to basically empty out my bag (14 pockets-organizer). I kindly informed him that I had just walked in and that he was embarrassingly placing me in a spot (there were about 25 people at the cafe alone). And yet, he still wanted to see what in my bag was causing the alarm to go off. I told him that I wanted his manager (Christine-MOD); whom I met up at the cash register section. No apology from either one of them, rather- she too wanted to look into my bag! Suffice it to say, I am livid by now; there are about a dozen people watching this interaction. I ask to get the store information and their information to file a complaint- the customer service on the the other has stated that the Main Manager will get back with me on Monday (28 April 2014). I will write again to let everyone to know what comes of that conversation. Offended and embarrassed! Melody

I ordered a book online to be held at the front so I could easily pick it up and they were fantastic about it. The shopping season is kicking into gear but they realized I was waiting with nothing in my hands and a fellow called me up out of the line right away. They rang me up and whoosh, right out the door. Thats a really cool service, to order it online and they hold it for you. Brilliant and quick, it usually takes me at least thirty minutes to find a book and pay. This was maybe all of five minutes. A really cool option for shopping.

Went in looking to see if they had any LGBT books while not expecting much. All they had was a tiny section for LGBT sexuality that was filled with one book about graphic design and one book that was a photographic guide to heterosexual sex. Why even have the section if its just going to be used to insult LGBT customers.

Great place but too small. Wish they had revonated when they made FYE smaller instead of that beauty store being so big. Also glad they have what Im looking for whenever a new release comes out or something I might have missed.

Love the books. Like the environment, the coffee shop, people quietly conversing, flipping pages, teaching, sharing. Theres a sense serene activities running about in this place. Love the books!

I like this B&N over the others in the area just for the selection of Pop Culture items. The Coffee shop is usually quick and great place to sit and read or sturdy.
