The tea was decent, the sales people on the other hand come across like high pressure time share salesmen. I came in specifically for 2 particular teas. I was hoping to get in and out of the store within the 15 minute grace period of the parking garage...didnt happen... i was promptly greeted, but it took 20 minutes to get the point across to the very friendly young lady who kept insisting on shoving 50 other different types of tea in my face which I made abundantly clear I wasnt interested in within the first 30 seconds of our interaction. After she got that point it took another 10 minutes to get across that I didnt want multiple pounds of the teas that I ordered while simultaneously trying to upsell other teas that I had no interest in. She finally bags up my order and passes me off to one of her coworkers to checkout. The girl behind the register was more interested in joking back and forth with one of her male coworkers about their plans after work. When I finally get my total I attempt to hand her (cash) exact change, she asks "credit or debit" the whole experience was quite comical actually. It took 45 minutes but I finally came out with 6 oz each of some pretty decent earl grey and English breakfast tea. If you are in a hurry or lack patience I wouldnt recommend shopping at this teavanna store. I would suggest driving the extra 15 minutes to Quintins tea store in Virginia Beach. The time you spend driving will easily be saved in not having to deal with pushy sales people.

I was very iffy at first when i first went into the store looking for tea. I read the year+ old reviews and that got me even more iffy but one of the salespersons (His name was Jordan, I got him to write it down on a piece of paper as well as brewing instructions/some of his blends) changed my feelings on the place. Everyone there was very welcoming and kind. It felt more like another home then a different alien place after talking to Jordan and his other sales associates, They were funny, intelligent and well rounded people that never made you feel rushed or overwhelmed. Jordan took me through all of the store to help me what i needed and tea flavors i might like. I got a Perfectea Maker, an array of teas that added to a pound of tea, and some of the Rock Sugar. I just tried everything out with the instructions Jordan gave me and its AMAZING. i also asked about the old reviews from years ago, they told me that was the OLD staff. Theres a new Store manager who i got to meet (forgot her name but was a short blond hair woman who was so joyful) and Jordan being one of the managers under her. I HIGHLY recommended going to this newly improved and updated Teavana! They arent the pushy people i was expecting after reading all the year+ reviews!

I made the mistake of going in during the first week they were open. I was thinking, "How nice, a new shop specializing in tea. I like tea." That lasted for perhaps as much as a minute. Then the hard unpleasant sell set in. I should have left, but I suffered through and bought a few ounces of tea. It was not what they wanted to sell me. (The sales technique reminded me a bit of those people who used to assail folks in parking lots trying to sell magazines.) They are not about selling reasonable quantities of actual tea to people who enjoy tea. Rather, they specialize in selling hundreds of dollars of fruit flavored infusions and trinkets to people who dont know how to say "no." What a miserable place. I walk on the other side of the mall now.

Actually I was introduced to Teavana Feb 2012 by a friend in the Hampton @ Merchants Lane. Staff was wonderful explained how to brew I even called back for instructions. I live in Norfolk and was hesitate to visit Teavana MacArthur Center. I found the staff to be very friendly. Ive spent over $700.00 in teas and products. A few weeks ago I had an awful experience with the "District Manager" of the store she was very rude and embarrassed me in front of other customers. I decided not to purchase from this company again. I am trying to find another company that specialize in Teas.

Always a pleasure being in this store. Excellent customer service and a wonderful staff that knows tea. You never feel push or obligated to buy plus there are free samples brewed fresh throughout the day. Everytime I come in I get treated with respect and like a person. Josh is always wonderful brewing cups of tea and helping me try new things. Jordan helps me too sometimes and is awesome. I love when I come in and see them both together. They make me feel like Im welcomed and I belong here. Love Teavana and there teas.

Great customer service and no pressure salesmanship. Nick explained everything we would need to start brewing tea at home. He also recommended a couple really good blends that I am really looking forward to trying. I will definitely be coming back to see what else he has in store for me to try!

PREDATORS! Do not make eye contact as you are passing the store. They will hand you a tea sample, talk your ear off, and before you can get a word in they are ringing you up with 500 dollars worth of what looks like dollar general tea trinkets. They are EXTREMELY aggressive.

Danielle helped me and she was amazing! She walked me through every step and hooked me up with goodies! The reason I only gave 4 stars was price. The teas are a little pricey but other then that the people who work there are wonderful!

Very pushy sales people, they seem friendly but they turn quickly if you manage to convince them you arent buying anything. Also a VERY small space, so its near impossible to browse without elbowing everyone else.

Fair for customer service, nice young men-No "tea specialists". The tea was delicious and I bought a reasonable amount because i set my limit up front.

Great selection of teas. Naturally some can be expensive but I like I can try small quantities before purchasing a larger batch.
